I don't usually leave reviews, but I can't express enough gratitude for Dr. Andersen!…read more For nearly three weeks, I had severe pain in one of my back teeth along with what appeared to be a "lesion" on the inside of my gum. I saw two other dentists and was told that my tooth was fractured and needed to be extracted. I came to this office during their annual free extraction event expecting to lose the tooth. Dr. Andersen took the time to thoroughly evaluate the situation and wasn't convinced that extraction was the right answer. She determined that the "lesion" was actually a piece of bone protruding through the gum and removed it. Almost immediately, the pain that had been bothering me for weeks was gone. I am incredibly grateful not only because she found the real problem, but because she saved my tooth. Her knowledge, patience, and willingness to look deeper instead of rushing to remove the tooth made all the difference. Thank you, Dr. Andersen, for your exceptional care. I truly can't thank you enough.

I reluctantly agreed, and then on that second visit a different dentist demanded I undergo extensive imaging unrelated to the crown in question. When I declined the panorex she refused to either treat me or refer me to another dentist. This was unprofessional and unethical. If you want to make your own dental choices, this is not the practice for you.

I was very upset that I wasted about three hours for no real quality service. I had an appointment…read moreat 9:00 a.m. and did not get seen until about one hour and a half after 9 a.m. I ever arrived 8:30 a.m. because the receptionist stated I had to complete paperwork on first visit. Nevertheless, I was not seen for about a hour and a half after 9 a.m. I know sucks, right! Yep, they put all the People of Color in the back rooms and the Whites in the first rooms and work on them first. They schedule about six people for the same appointment time. I asked several patients in the waiting room what was the deal and was told their appointment was the same as mine. They only have one Dentist at a time on the clock at the Eastern Ave location. American Board of General Dentistry should fix this place ASAP. Once I did see the dentist she damaged my gum by trying to talk to the Radiologist about how she almost burned down her place last night by falling asleep while cooking dinner because she was so tired. I knew this was a bad sign because she was working in my mouth. I had to ask her several times to take it easy on examining my mouth. She was a young chic that clearly lacked experience. I was so upset. I don't have the best health. When I do have a good day, I try to make the most out of that day. I try to be a very productive person and I so, wanted to get some dental work out the way before the holidays. I will and would not recommend this place to anyone. When, I first noticed this place it was empty and so clean. I thought to myself perfect. Not to crowded and clean; my type of business. I pulled over one day and stepped into the office and the receptionist was so nice. She took my insurance card and ID, made copies and scheduled me an appointment for about eight days later. She even called me the evening before my appointment to confirm. However, when I came the appointment day. She was like do you have a appointment who are you. I stated yes, the same professional lady you called last night. She said, Oh. I though so unprofessional, right! I should also add the Radiologist took poor x-rays that lacked full and clear visual images of the root to gum. Nevertheless, she was helpful in noticing that my extraction was cracked at the root via one x-ray. The dentist did not even have enough knowledge to notice. She had to correct the dentist because her treatment plan did not include the cracked tooth. The dentist then says to me this type of extraction takes about a hour and I have to be gone by 1 p.m. I can't help you today. As a far as the cleaning, if your willing to wait the cleaning can be done today. Just know the Hygienist has a very long line ahead of you. I said to myself really and I had any appointment for what! I will never go back there again. Lord give me strength, it hurts just to talk about such a bad experience! All I wanted was my routine bi-yearly cleaning and a simple extraction. I was told before hand this could happen and it didn't. Such a waste of my time and energy! I know sucks, right!

Even if you are un- or under-insured, I don't recommend this place. I was misdiagnosed on my visit…read moreand recommended to have an extraordinarily expensive and invasive (possibly life altering!) procedure without even a suggestion that there might be an alternative diagnosis. In addition, the staff is very nice, but not very professional. To be gossiping about other staff members in front of patients does not engender much trust.
