I have always had a fear of dentist because of past experiences which were very painful. I researched top dentist in Maryland and I came across Dr. Kuzmak, Towson View Dental Care and decided to give them a call and make an appointment. I was very nervous about the visit because I had two broken teeth with only the roots left in my gums. Upon my arrival I was meant by a warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Kuzmack himself came out to the waiting area to greet me and to offer me a bottle of water. That definitely helped take the edge off. He explained everything to me before he began the procedure. I always brace myself for the initial needle stick and deep burning that follows from the Novocaine... However to my surprise Dr. Kuzmack pulls out a device that he uses in conjunction with the needles that massages your gums during injection which helped to alleviate any pain! I was totally taken back that I did not feel ANY pain the entire procedure. No pain from the needle or the root extraction. I will speak my truth over and over again. After all was said and done I had a horrible dental abscess that caused the most excruciating pain that I have ever experienced in my life, and I blame this dental practice. Dr. Murphy spoke with me over the phone while I was in debilitating pain and had the nerve to suggest that he would "fit me in tomorrow for a trigger point injection". I blame this practice for being a poor representation of the dental community and whole-heartedly blame them for making me unnecessarily suffer because they have lost their way in patient care.

For context, I had a pretty gnarly dental experience that kept me away for two years (for shame, I know. From the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by the biggest, brightest smiles, I knew I was in the right place. This office exudes warmth, inclusivity, and care. I was immediately taken into the back (I pre-filled my forms, so no wait time at all), given a tour of the office, and was informed every single step of the way to help me set expectations. Not only was Dr. Santos extremely knowledgable but her and her team were also kind and informative - I knew what was going to happen, what was happening, and what next steps would be each step of the way. I've already convinced my husband to make an appointment too! I have a long journey ahead (wisdom teeth removal, braces, and cleanings) and I couldn't feel more at home with this practice. I never received a bill, statement, or any communication regarding an outstanding balance. Recently, I was contacted times by a collection agency demanding payment for a significant amount. When I attempted to contact the office directly to understand the charges and resolve the matter -- including offering to promptly pay any legitimate balance -- I was unable to speak with a manager or anyone willing to review the situation. Instead, I was repeatedly redirected back to the collection agency. Sending an account to collections without prior notice and then refusing to communicate directly with a former patient reflects very poor business practices. I had previously thought highly of this office (even despite a few minor complaints), which makes this experience even more disappointing and infuriating. I strongly encourage prospective and even current patients to ensure they understand this office's billing and communication policies and adherence of, before seeking or resuming treatment here.

Initially, I lived & worked nearby, and I started Invisalign a couple years later in 2022. I paid thousands in full upfront. This past year, I moved to be closer to my new job in College Park resulting in a longer commute. I've always received great feedback regarding how my teeth are shifting, but I got trays mixed up towards the end of the summer while traveling, which delayed my schedule. I apologized for this. My work schedule + my job now being an hour away contributed to having to reschedule some appointments (in advance). Due to this, I've observed an attitude from their receptionist. There was an instance where I had an urgent work meeting, and I called in advance to reschedule & the receptionist just passive-aggressively chuckled... I'm not sure if this is the same woman who greets me when I arrive, but the receptionist who does is not friendly. I've had to say something to be greeted, and the interaction is dismissive. For my last visit, I sensed agitation during my appointment, which was disheartening since I've been a patient for so long. This is likely because the practice may want to wrap up my treatment since I've already paid in full & I'm so close to being done. Keep in mind, my deadline to complete Invisalign is 2027, but of course, I'd like to wrap up my treatment before that point. The practice may have gotten impatient due to my work schedule/commute, so I decided to then find another practice near me to transfer my treatment there. After seeing two Invisalign doctors for consultations, I was quoted additional thousands to transfer treatment. I reached out to Peartree to figure out the transfer process. I expressed to the practice via email my concerns & why I was exploring another provider. I expressed that I would ideally like to finish the treatment there, but that I also don't want to sense agitation when scheduling & arriving for visits. I was flat out IGNORED. I followed up with a question regarding how many trays I have left, which I was responded to quickly without acknowledgment of the concerns I expressed in my previous email to him. I responded stating that I will absolutely be changing doctors at this point because of my concerns being dismissed & for the transfer documentation to please be forwarded via email. I received a fast response with the form (again not acknowledging my email with concerns). The fact that I am switching Invisalign providers & will be paying additional thousands out of pocket with a new doctor rather than finishing up at Peartree due to poor customer service (when I'm so close to being done) is unfortunate... But this shows how disappointed I am in my experience at this practice as a long-term patient. It's apparent that the practice handles concerns by simply ignoring them, so they go away... especially, when the patient has already paid. Very unfortunate... I do not recommend.

The fillings they did were deep, poorly done, and left me in constant pain that I never had before walking through their doors. Instead of helping me, their work created new problems that I'm now stuck trying to fix somewhere else -- and paying for all over again. What hurts the most is how little care or urgency they showed when I tried to tell them something wasn't right. I felt brushed off, unheard, and completely unsupported. Dealing with dental pain is scary enough, but dealing with it because of someone else's careless work is even worse. I'm frustrated, I'm disappointed, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. I was so comfortable, and that says a lot for a dentist as well. I like that they also have TV's on the ceiling so while they are cleaning your teeth, you can watch TV lol. The dentistry is very organized and the staff are super friendly as well. I have not once had a bad experience there! I would recommend this dentistry to anyone including those afraid of dentists and get anxious about having teeth worked on, such as myself
