Ziplining review! Highline is very easy to get to. Thought we would get lost but we didn't. Signs are clear, had a restroom we could use before, check in was quick and we got right to it. Jumped in the car and went up to the top! Awesome views up there and Brittany took a great pic of us. So much fun to go down and I want to do it again! Spencer, Elijah, and Brittany were amazing guides! It's such a cool experience and they made us feel so safe. It's crazy because you're so high up. It was an awesome time. We are local to the area and this is an amazing experience right in our own backyard! It was our myself, my spouse and our 15 and 10 year old boys. Booking via the website was easy and seamless as well as filling out the waivers. The check-in area is beautiful and everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Adrian was our guide who told us how to put on the harness and handle all the rigging. This was our first time doing any sort of ropes course like this but the tech involved seems fail safe and so user friendly. We definitely got a workout in and can see the need for the height requirement! We will definitely be feeling the work we put in doing the course! The guides were great, especially "Krissane"(sp) who was so encouraging and positive as she checked on us throughout the course. We were able to do both sides of the lower part of the course within the two hour booking. We opted not to do the upper course and will save it for our next visit. They offer water at the course and have tables and shade for those who are just watching. We are looking forward to returning to try out the zip lining. Some notes: Bathroom is located at base camp and the facilities are modern and clean. Gloves should be used and they offer them for $10 at base camp but we brought our own and I don't think it would be comfortable to do the course without them. They also offer camera rentals for $20 I believe. Wear pants or long shorts as the harness needs to be snug and it could be uncomfortable with shorter shorts. My friend and I were staying in Santa Barbara. We wanted to zipline. I found Highline Adventures through searches and reviews. I went on the website, easy to navigate, reserve a spot and pay. About an hour drive from downtown Santa Barbara...not bad. We did go on a Thursday at 11:00 AM. Plenty of parking and only 6 in our group. The "Base Camp" main office is very nice, new, clean bathrooms, easy check-in with small storage box to hold a small purse with keys wallets and such. Joey and Jaun were our guides, they were fantastic, super friendly very courteous, made sure we were safe. Basically the Zipline adventure consist of a jeep ride to the first Zipline where you get geared up and are given safety instructions. The zips are 2 side by side lines, which was fun to race with my friend. First zip is the longest, Second is medium and third is the fastess down to base camp. My only wish is that hey had more than 3 ziplines. My only helpful hints would be is to wear sunscreen (in our case I wore leggings and a light long sleeve shirt), more comfortable, PLUS if you wear shorts or sleeveless shirt of any kind, put bug spray on. When you were stationary there were these annoying flys. It was deffinitely worth it and fun as hell. I would go again when I go back to Santa Barbara. The entire process from booking with the Groupon code to wrapping up the activity was easy. They sent out regular updates and clear directions, and everything went in a timely manner. The guides who helped us with gear were friendly and our main guides, Mark and Lucy, were easygoing and fun, and in no way did we feel unsafe (though my husband was terrified). These guys have got their act together from the Humvee that takes you to the zipline. To the setup of the 3 ziplines. First one in the longest in CA. You need to pencil down unless you have some weight on your bones. It gives the newbies a taste of the experience. The 2nd one allow everyone to go crazy - starfish with deadman is fun. My 12 year old daughter and I come up to Solvang every year for a dad/daughter trip. We wanted to to try something a little different this year and we ended up having a great time. We started with a thorough safety briefing and a detailed explanation on how the equipment works. The technology they use on the course made us feel secure the whole time. It was clear they take safety seriously which made it a lot easier when you're stepping out onto a rope high up in the air. There are also different levels of courses, so you can choose how challenging and scary you want it to be. And we were able to go at our own pace which made it enjoyable and less stressful. The only minor issue is that our whole group had to wait to start because another family was running late. Not a huge deal, but we were all ready to go on time and anxious to get going. Overall though, we had a really fun time and would definitely come back. Great activity to do with kids. read more

My two sons and I did the ropes course and it was so much fun! Everyone that worked there was fantastic and the course was definitely more of a challenge than I expected! My older son (19) did the more difficult course while my younger son (11) and I did the lower one. Definitely challenging! I highly recommend it if you're up for a great workout and a good time. BLOODY AMAZING!! Let's begin this review. Highline Adventures (est 2022) is a premier outdoor adventure park that offers thrilling experience. It's located on Hwy 246 in Buellton, CA. It is the state's fastest and biggest zipline tours. Upon arrival visitors will Check-in at basecamp and sign a waiver, if you haven't done it online. Your personal belongings can be kept safe at basecamp in their cubbies. There is a short hike and a 20 minute open jeep ride going to the first zipline. It gets pretty dusty along the way btw. The 2-hour zipline consist of 3 tandem zipline (3, 2 & 1) levels, guest soar for a total of 7,500 feet of cable at 400 ft. Their level 3 is the highest and longest zipline at 3,360 feet with speed of 40 mph; level 2 is moderately high and long zipline at 2,100 ft with speed over 50 mph; level 1 is the lowest and shortest zipline at 1,1940 ft with speed over 60 mph. Make sure to bring a DJI GoPro! Cellphone is risky once it dropped it is GONE in perpetuity. The best part was the breathtaking view of Santa Ynez Valley. And it wasn't that hot today thanks to the light cool breeze of September. Price for the zipline course program was worth every dollar. Our Tour Guides were knowledgeable and affable. I have younger kids ages 4 and 6 so they are both too little for the zip lines but they really enjoyed the SkyNet playground. It's basically these bungee cords that are springy like a trampoline with some bridges and structures they can crawl through. I bought tickets online and checked in at the main adventure park building where they also have some snacks and drinks. My kids had a great time and I did too so if you are looking for something fun to do with little ones, check out the Sky Net park. Beware the Horseshoes!!! I've been to ropes courses all over California and this was by far the best and most challenging. First off, safety was number one so if you're worried about that then you are good. The difficulty level starts off fairly easy before it gets more and more challenging before you wonder what you got yourself into. You don't have to go through the whole course and it is family friendly so go there with the notion a Of wanting to have fun. If it's warm that day then get there early(those cables are HOT) and use the gloves they offer to protect your fingers. We had a great experience with Highline adventures We had some scheduling issues, ours not theirs, and they were helpful and accommodating. When we made it to the high ropes adventure, we had a blast. The guides were all knowledgeable and helpful. One, Joey, sensed my youngest daughter's apprehension and was able to stay close to us, answering all her questions along the way -- he even put on some Taylor Swift for her! He was fantastic. We had our almost 8 year-old with us, nine-year-old, 11-year-old and a 12-year-old and they all just loved it! Took my eight year old son to the Skynet Playground. We checked in at base camp and they told us to walk up a hill to find it. Once arrived at the playground there was no one to check us in or tell us about it. It was a cool idea, a netted playground in the trees but my son lost interest after 30 minutes. Sat in the shade while I tried to encourage my son to play more and I got attacked by mosquitoes all over my body. It would have been nice if they mentioned there was a bug problem and people could over up and dress accordingly. Also, should install a drinking fountain or have more water available. They had a small cooler by the playground but there was only two small bottles left. read more

We had an amazing time at the adventure park! The staff were friendly, helpful, and trained us well to be sure we would be safe. With the safety harnesses, helmets, and clever idiot-proof locking-tethering system, we felt entirely safe even on the upper, more difficult course. We were pleasantly surprised by the challenges on the course and hope to come back again for more of this exciting outdoor fun! Helpful info for anyone planning to go: gloves make it way more comfortable. You can but theirs for $5/pair or bring your own. You can bring your phone on the course but have to have it on a cross-body strap. They provided us with water bottles free of charge. The upper course is indeed more physically demanding, but gives you even better views if you're up to it. read more

Visited Highline Adventures over spring break 2026 with my family. There website states that kids 48" and above can complete the ropes course with the assistance of an adult. After driving a few hours and being on site for over an hour, we were told that our son, who was exactly 48", was too small to complete the course. After being there, it is my opinion that any kid under that 70" reach will struggle to complete the ropes course. Our experience was that the website was misleading. Our 11 and 12 year old could do the ropes course, but our 48" 6 year old was too small for the ropes course, but bored on the sky nets after about 15 minutes. It was a frustrating experience that, in my opinion, could be avoided with more clarity on their website. read more

Highline Adventure Day one we went on the Skynet so that way the kids could see how they handled being up in the air and if they were afraid. Walking was different and my wife was uncomfortable at first but later enjoyed it. Kids did really well, Fear was not a Factor for them. Then I knew they were ready for the Highline adventure with obstacle courses and wearing a harness up in the air. They loved and played until their muscles shook and they could barely walk, they had a fantastic time. So the next day we did a relaxing 4 by 4 Bronco tour which we all enjoyed as running through brush pulling up lichen Moss and smelling the sage. It was a wonderful experience we had a fantastic driver that let us enjoy doing doughnuts in the dirt with the Ford Broncos. We ended our vacation, the last day, with the kids and my wife doing zip lining. They came back with ruffled hair but huge smiles. I recommend purchasing tickets in advance during your stay however if you're like me and I did not make weight just a few dozen pounds overweight, then you should wait until you're there so they can weigh you to be sure you make the weight. It was a great experience my family loved it had a fantastic and memorable time thank you very much Highline Adventure staff. read more

My 15-year-old daughter had an amazing time zip-lining here and couldn't wait to return for the adventure course. So, for her birthday, I brought her and six of her friends back to celebrate. The place is incredibly clean, the staff is friendly, the views are stunning, and the adventure course is fantastic. They even have a super friendly pup onsite who loves to play fetch, which was such a fun bonus! Their bathrooms are spotless, there's ample parking, and the entire experience felt very safe. A couple of tips: It's a very active course designed for older kids, and there's a height requirement to participate, so be sure to check that in advance. Wear a shirt with a hoodie to protect your neck from rubbing too much while navigating the course. While it can get chilly later in the evening when the sun dips behind the mountain, you'll definitely warm up as you maneuver through the course. Don't forget bug spray if you're there as it starts to get dark--mosquitoes can make an appearance! I highly recommend this spot for a fun outdoor activity. Safe, fun, friendly and professional staff. This is a great place to visit for some outdoor adventure. I've done a handful of zip lines and this one was in fact the longest I've ever done. You'll start off at base camp to check in. If you have a purse or anything you want to leave behind, you can leave it in a basket at base camp. A staff member will walk you up to where your gear is and then drive you up to the first zip line in a humvee. The ride is a little bumpy but there are great views and depending on when you go, you might see some of the proteas which are really unique-looking flowers. The ride to the top to the first zip line is a little long but so worth it. It's the longest zip line and the view is incredible. The guides were really kind, safety-minded, and made first time people feel very comfortable. In my opinion, the last of the three zip lines was the best because I felt like I was going faster but the whole experience was really fun and exhilarating! read more

What a wonderful afternoon for a family to share! The more adventurous can go on the zipline, while the others can tackle the rope course or traverse the fun SkyNet playground in the sky! Area was very clean and you can tell that safety is paramount. What really sets it apart, however, I. believe is the friendliness and instruction of the staff.
