Mrs. Hill at the front desk was welcoming, but it seemed as though the rest of the staff had to force courtesy. Moving on to the rooms, the first room that was given to me had a moldy smell. After advising the front desk, I was moved to another room, which was better. The shower appeared to be coming apart and the ceiling was beginning to mildew; there was no smell. Other than this, the room was fine. Lastly, the restaurant. The food was decent. The salad bar was fresh and the trout was a tad salty. The lobster mac-n-cheese was pretty good. The views were wonderful, given it's in the mountains. All and all, my stay was fine, nothing to make me return, but I always say, make your own decision.

Parking is easy and once parked, you can explore downtown Asheville on foot. Just steps from The Orange Peel and Wicked Weed Brewery with several of Asheville's best restaurants just steps away, the location can't be beat. Rooms are nicely equipped with comfortable beds. The decor is very Rock N Roll with cool Marshall Bluetooth speakers. Closet space is very minimal, but that's my only negative. We enjoyed the XYZ lounge, especially the fireplace! The pool area is expansive and offers ample seating for groups including a fire pit. A great place to relax and enjoy the sunset over the mountains . The best reason is that they are dog-friendly. We don't have a dog, but loved seeing all of the happy companions in the hotel. This establishes a very friendly vibe to the hotel. Definitely our go-to spot when in Asheville.

We love the view from the hotel room it was probably one of the best views out there, on top my list for sure! The room itself was great it was spacious with contemporary furniture and design, two of the main reasons I decided on this hotel were the soaking bathtub and dog friendly accomodation. It was really great we felt more like at home in an NY apartment than at a hotel. The happy hour was great we met so many interesting people not to mention the featured drinks were also good. I tried the wine, beer and margarita!! The canapes were also a nice touch!! The service staff from the desk, to valet and cleaning they were really nice. They made our stay memorable. Loved the packed ice in the common area ready for guests!! This is an outstanding hotel.

And terrible sleep with this faux window that gives off tons of light. Cannot recommend. The space itself is beautifully decorated with a lovely ambiance, and for the most part, it was very clean. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the free snacks--though I didn't receive the macarons mentioned in other reviews. That said, there were a few issues that affected my stay. There was an odd, bright light just outside the bedroom that made it difficult to sleep. Street noise is significantly louder than reviews suggest--you can hear everything from outside, which might be disruptive for light sleepers. While the interior felt very secure, the surrounding area felt a bit unsafe, especially with a noticeable presence of unhoused individuals nearby. The walk to the free parking was especially sketchy and would definitely benefit from better lighting. Additionally, more detailed information online about pet accommodations would be helpful for future guests. Overall, it's a phenomenal Airbnb in terms of design and amenities, but it doesn't quite meet the standard of a hotel in terms of comfort or external environment.

I booked a room in the Lodge and check in was super far where the Lodge was. You have to drive all the way down to the front. Follow the signs!! It was alittle confusing at first. The Lodge room is like a hotel so that's why I picked it. I did not want a cabin or mini house in the area as they offer other kinds of rooms. The room was nice. It's a tiny outdated with the a/c but that's okay. There were ton of small tiny bugs in the room and also the lounge area on the first floor. There are no microwaves inside the room but there is a refrigerator. There is a tiny microwave on the first floor lounge area. Room service is alittle lacking as they don't make the bedsheets. This place can work on their house keeping and cleanliness of the lobby area. They keep their front doors and all doors open so it doesn't not have the best security. So definitely keep your room doors locked. There is a restaurant called Hazel's which I did not try but will next time I stay here. I can't wait to come back again!

June 2026: Front…read moredesk and customer service are wonderful! We stayed in cabin 909 which was a one bedroom. It was clean and cozy. It had a full kitchen with stove, oven microwave refrigerator, and sink. The AC was fantastic! The furniture was extremely comfortable, including the bed. Great shower and warm/hot water. There are hills and curves throughout the entire property. We were able to see Lightning bugs every night and it was a calm and relaxing stay. There is parking for trailers near the general store. We brought our motorcycle on a trailer. We parked the car and motorcycle at the cabin and the trailer at the parking next to the general store. We went to Quill's Cantina and enjoyed their food. They have souvenirs, coffee, and a Christmas store next to Quill's Cantina. We never made it to Hazel's restaurant. The pool was closed during our stay, unfortunately but there was a playground area available. You could also rent golf carts if you wanted to. We were minutes away from the Fontana Dam and the Marina. They have a gas station near the General Store too! This is a good place to stay and relax. There are motorcycle enthusiasts and car enthusiasts due to the roads in the area. 30 minutes to Robbinsville (nearest town) and 40 minutes to Bryson City.

He gave it 3 stars, good flavor and light but small on size. I got the smoked and seared prawns, they came swimming in sauce and could have been mistaken for soup. They were whole prawns chopped in half with the shell and tail still on and also the heads complete with legs- inedible and impossible to eat....sent back Ambience was beautiful and the aperol spritz drink I had was delicious. The lobby sets the tone for what to expect -- there's so much to take in. From original artwork (including striking curated pieces) to unique jewelry available for purchase, every corner has something interesting to discover from inside and out. The evening piano by the fireplace was such a classy and relaxing touch. The library was fantastic -- I could have sat there reading all night. I also loved the rocking chairs outside, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the atmosphere. There's art thoughtfully placed in every nook and corner, which makes the entire property feel curated and special. My room was fantastic and spotless. As a coffee lover, having my own Nespresso cappuccino machine was a highlight. Complimentary in-room amenities were generous, and the steamer was incredibly convenient -- I was able to steam my jacket before a business event with ease. The staff was amazing, and I appreciated the evening turndown service that prepared the room for a restful night. I would absolutely come back and only wish I could have stayed longer. Cheers!

My wife and I were in town for New Year's 2026 and decided to stop by the Omni Grove Park Inn. We…read morehad been here many years ago with my aunt and uncle, who wanted to show us the hotel and the famous elevator built into the fireplace it's very old and really interesting. Before coming, I read that the Gingerbread House competition had just ended and that the displays were still up. When we arrived, I didn't realize parking was now paid $30 which was surprising since the first time we visited it was free. Walking up to the hotel is impressive on its own. Seeing how this massive structure was built out of stone so long ago is amazing. Inside, there was a video playing that explained how the hotel was constructed, which was very informative. The roof being made of solid concrete to help make the building waterproof was especially interesting. When you walk through the front doors, the entry is grand and open, with huge fireplaces on both sides. The gingerbread house displays were spread across two floors and were absolutely incredible. It's amazing to see the talent, from young adults to experienced artists. Some of the displays look incredibly realistic. I added photos, and hopefully the video of the grand prize winner shows as well, it's truly impressive. We walked around the rest of the hotel for a while and then stopped for lunch (see my restaurant review). The food was excellent. We hope to return one day and stay here. I'd also love to come back and play a round of golf here.
