Such as...meringue pies, sugar cookies with buttercream frosting, hand pulled cream candy, fudge, and chocolate dipped caramel apples just to name a few. She hand makes all of her baked goods and sugary sweets out of her house and there fore doesn't have an official storefront. She usually requires a day or two advance notice to be able to fulfill most orders, but that goes with any at home bakers. In my opinion, it is worth the wait. So when the kids started to play a game, the people reading nearby were clearly annoyed. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. Loved that they had both tables and comfy sitting areas. There is a bar area. A little sad that they didn't have the football games on on a Sunday afternoon.

An eclectic looking building on Old Main Street, it was a pleasant surprise and one we will return to in the future. Lots of variety and a burrito bar attached. Burritos and ice cream?? Before Kathy took over, I do recall Spoonful of Sugar being closed during court day and I had messaged them to ask when they would be open. Courtday is only the biggest tourist attraction in our area and as a local business you would think they would want to be open during the heaviest foot traffic of the entire year, but they responded they wanted to attend court day so they were going to be closed. I thought that was very strange. I hope with the new structure - they will be open during court days going forward. Food - I love Kathy's salads, breakfast, grouper fingers, and so much more. Literally everything I have had has been wonderful. She makes amazing homemade ranch dressing and beer cheese as well and you must try them both. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. The steak salad is amazing and I ask them to keep the fat on, cause that's the way I like it. The coleslaw is so creamy and delicious, I have purchased a large container to take home for dinner sides back when she was still at the country club. There are some breakfast sandwiches that you have to try! And I am not a big breakfast lover, but the croissants here are to die for. So buttery and soft - and then pile it high with ham, egg, and cheese - oh lord! Sweets - Before Kathy took over Spoonful of Sugar, I was never a fan of any of the sweets here. Sadly, I have to say that is still the case. I have tried nearly everything in the store, but have yet to find a sweet treat that I love here. Let me go into more detail: The mini pies - I attempted to purchase a mini butterscotch pie and when I got it home, it was a chocolate pie even though it was labeled as butterscotch. I tried it and wasn't crazy about it but I still wanted to try the butterscotch pie so I tried again. I was quite disappointed in the crust, it was very tough and you could not get a fork through it. The pie filling was just ok and the topping was just ok. Not something I would buy again. Cookies - I have tried several of the cookies on many occasions but each time the cookies are very crunchy. I know some people like crunchy cookies, but I am a soft and chewy kind of cookie girl. When I say soft - I mean SOFT like nearly falling apart and gooey. If you can hold it upright and it doesn't start to lean a little, then it simply isn't soft enough for my liking. I gave up trying to get a soft cookie after a few purchases and realized these cookies were just not my style. Chess bars - I love a good chess bar - but each time I tried these they seemed to be overcooked and slightly burned. Cupcakes.- ok, cupcakes are my absolute favorite thing. There used to be a wonderful place in town to get cupcakes called Swirlz and I was a regular there. When they went out of business I was hoping there would be some sort of collaboration because those were the most delicious cupcakes I've ever had in my life. I want to see creative flavors - chocolate peanut butter and butterfinger were my favorites. I'm not crazy about the cupcakes here, both the cake portion or the icing. I guess I keep comparing it to Swirlz and it doesn't compare in my opinion so I guess I'm disappointed in anything that doesn't come close to those. As you can see - I've tried the sweets on many occasions - but after so much disappointment for me I had to stop trying the sweets. I think a lot of people in town love them - but none of them seem to be my personal style that I like so unfortunately I can't find anything in the sweets area here for me.

The store associate seemed to get annoyed at telling me what the items in the case were but how do you expect me to know if you don't label your items? and i only even asked what 3-4 items were out of 15+ in the case. even though she told me what a couple of the items were, I have no idea how much they were. I asked the price on the viral fruit thing and she responded "they range from $10-$20". There were three choices of those and I guess it was too much trouble to say the price of each one I wanted to try one of the viral fruit moose things, but after the way the store associate acted I decided to pass. There were definitely some things that looked really good, but I'm not going to purchase if they're rolling their eyes at me and acting like I'm bothering them asking about the things they are selling. I'll give it another shot in the future. We'll see what happens Summary: 1. Make sure items in the case are labeled with a product name, short description, and price. 2. Train the people who represent your store what customer service is and how to really sell the product when someone's asking about it I didn't even get to try anything yet so this review is 100% based on customer service interaction and store display information. I know there has been dreams with this business in the past about low reviews - so I'm a real person and I've been elite on Yelp for 6 years. It isn't hard to find me if you want to for verification.
