There were a handful of people in the bakery but we were able to walk right up to the counter and order what we wanted. So many coffee options! We opted for a cherry danish, lemon poppyseed muffin, sausage roll, cinnamon cold brew and a mocha cold brew. The danish and sausage roll were very yummy! The bakery itself was very cute with it's colorful paintings and decor all around. The only I guess downside doesn't even have to do with the bakery itself. But we were there in the morning to enjoy coffee and bakery items and there was a child screaming the entire time. (I say this and I have an 8 year old myself). I wish it had been a little bit quieter but that doesn't have to do with the bakery itself. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the muffin.....we brought it back home to Massachusetts....and our cats ate it LOL. But they left no crumbs so I'm assuming it tasted good!

First, it's just so cute! As you approach, you can't help but notice the beautiful mural on the windows. Then you step inside of the most charming little bakery. There are tables for in-store dining and tasty treats everywhere. Cookies, pies, croissants, refrigerated salads and sweets, candied nuts and even Rice Krispie treats. These are just some of the items available. I've never been to a bakery with that many different offerings. Everything looked amazing and everyone in line lets us know that everything is delicious!!! Honestly I wanted a bit of everything, but I had to have some self control. In the end I walked away with muffins, bars, a Bundt cake, a cake pop and tiramisu (this was all shared with another person). Just like the other patrons said, I quickly learned that everything was in fact delicious! It was fresh and so, so good!!! The staff was very kind and I think that Rebecca herself came out and chatted with us briefly. This was my first visit, but definitely won't be my last. Absolutely worth the drive from Lexington.

Never opening never telling me what's going on. Just continuing to look at me. I'm there to buy donuts. The open sign was on and it was 10:30 in the morning. Rodney's is a genteel bar/eatery in a restored house with an upmarket seafood & steak menu, plus outdoor seating. For our opening course, we tried the Sea Divers Scallops. These were tandoori-rubbed and served with a sweet Thai chili sauce. The scallops had a good sear and a slight crunch, with the tandoori rub offering a mild, earthy kick and a hint of chili powder flavor. The scallop was light and melted in your mouth. The Thai chili sauce added a sweet heat combo that complemented the scallops perfectly. We then shared the Lobster Bisque, which our server recommended. The bisque was very creamy, with a slightly thicker, velvety texture than typical bisques. It was so creamy that it almost tasted like it had cheese in it, which it did not. It had a salty, slightly paprika-spiced flavor, while the sherry added a slight nutty note. This was an excellent dish and worth the drive itself. For my main course, I ordered the Lamb Chops. They were char-grilled with roasted garlic mint demi-glace and the Potato de jur, which is smoked Gouda au gratin. My lamb was spot-on medium-rare; however, the char was a little hard and bitter, especially on the edges. This was present in most bites. The mint sauce added a touch of sweetness and depth to the meat's flavor. The potatoes were cooked through and offered a slight chew. The Gouda was creamy and nutty, pairing well with the potatoes, though it needed a bit more seasoning. My wife chose the Filet for her main course. She ordered it medium rare with Weisenberger white cheddar grits and green peppercorn cream sauce. Her grits were cooked well and not overdone; the cheddar was only topped on the dish and not melted into it, but it did offer a sharp bite. We both found them to be bland and in need of seasoning. The peppercorn sauce was creamy, with the onions adding texture, crunch, and a slight sweetness, while the peppercorns popped with flavor and mild heat. The steak was seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare; it melted in your mouth. However, the hard char on the edges added a heavy, bitter flavor to most bites. Rodney's menu features appetizers, soups, salads, prime beef selections, entrees, side dishes, and desserts. They offer a full bar with beer and soda selections. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and will offer suggestions and advice. The Fat Man says that Rodney's on Broadway is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.

Cornbread delivered, drinks arrive. waitress was slow, kept saying she was new, she was tired, etc... Having been in the service industry, I understand, but not my problem. Here is when the meal went south... when we go to order, we are told no chicken, no steak. Only real options are the chicken and dumplings, sloppy joe, hamburger, meatloaf, ham or fish. Any other beef dish, or chicken dish is not available ( think half the menu ). Had we of known, before the drinks and cornbread, we might have left, as we had driven an hour for brisket and fried chicken. It was extremely disappointing. I went with the chicken and dumplings, as I don't eat fish, or beef, and can't eat pork products. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes and was told the chicken and dumplings came on a bed of mash - nope, apparently it does not. Expecting mash, I ordered carrots... guess what the chicken and dumplings come with carrots! So I got a bunch of carrots, no mash. The others in my party ordered the sloppy joes and both said they were okay, but not what they drove an hour to eat. In my opinion a restaurant, that is closed on Monday, should not be out of half of their menu items on Tuesday. I'd there are delivery issues, they had all day Monday to come up with alternate items, source other foods, etc.. Our waitress rarely came around, never offered refills, or asked how our meals were. At the end, she messed up our tickets so many times, that we finally just paid. I am no longer in a hurry to go to Local Feed and it will not be a place I drive an hour, to eat. We each ordered the Breakfast Hot Browns, one with pork and hash browns, the other with country ham and home fries. WOW. So good. It did make me chuckle when my bowl with home fries came out and they were full on slices of potato. I was certainly not complaining as I love potatoes. Our server, Rubi, was very sweet! She was able to answer all our questions regarding the menu. We got to chatting with her more and even though she isn't originally from the area, she recommended some great spots we check out which was so fun.
