So pleased to have F & Goode in the neighborhood! Stopped in while on a walk with our dog to purchase a savory handpie to share. I picked the mushroom, egg, caramelized onion and goat cheese version (there were several tempting varieties from which to choose). The owner kindly heated it through for me and cut it in half and off we went. Absolutely delicious. Can't wait to try more of the items, including the sweets, which look epic. ONE WEEK LATER -- went back to try some of the sweets, which have been calling me all week. My daughter and I shared a slice of the chocolate and caramel mousse cake and a lemon bar. The mousse had a gorgeous texture with a nice hint of salt and the chocolate all around the outer edge was wonderful. The lemon tart lived up to its name beautifully and its thick shortbread base provided a good balance to the lemon. Both were fantastic. We enjoyed our desserts in house. I ordered a few baked goods including lemon bars, a millionaire bar, cookies, and coffee cake to give to clients. I did try the lemon bar which was pretty good. Everyone else said the desserts were delicious. There is paid street parking available, but I was able to run in and out. There was only one person working, and was pretty efficient as she was baking other goods. I came late afternoon, and almost everything was gone, so it seems to be best to go early or order in advance to ensure there's inventory for what you want. There are a couple tables and chairs in the bakery, so it's fine to eat a bite and leave, but not to sit down and work. read more

Love this place! Definitely plan on hitting this place up when heading to Covington! Went for the Yelp Fall In Cincy event! Loved the mini apple pie strudel pie; I also bought a slice of their blueberry coffee crumble cake which was amazing and a slice of the millionaire bar! They have edible artwork pieces too from a printer (I had always wondered how places do their designs and if it's truly edible, which it is)! read more

We did a small gender reveal for my family and wasn't sure when we would get our results. Day of, I gave them a call and they were so accommodating in trying to help us! They made us a beautiful and delicious cake. When picking up we got cookies as well and they were absolutely delicious. The staff was so friendly, the restaurant was so clean. stopped by f & goode desserts sunday morning and it was exactly what i needed. grabbed an oatmeal & butterscotch scone and it was the perfect match for my coffee...warm, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. service was great, super kind and informative without feeling forced. everything's made from scratch and you can taste it in every bite. i got the last scone and honestly felt lucky because it hit. the space itself has that cute, calm morning vibe that makes you wanna slow down a little. definitely one of those spots that quietly becomes a favorite. read more

Unfortunately, very disappointed. Not what we expected. Fell short of discussed design plan of nearly 200 cupcakes and charging their top rate (paid nearly 900.00) and was seriously lacking in simple common agreed-upon colors. After discussing details over multiple emails and multiple pictures of colors and design, including Amazon links to exact colors of simple toothpick toppers (toppers easily found at any party store as well), as well as a lengthy phone call and then finally, with their acknowledgement of what appeared as understanding the most important of was to get the birthday colors right (orange, hot pink and teal). I generously gave 2 stars for their timely delivery of the cupcakes They were on time and set up the nearly 200 cupcakes for my birthday kid, who said everyone was surprised and happy to have a special treat while they were on the road. Otherwise, I would give zero stars. When I brought up my disappointment, the response was put off as being my fault and I was told "maybe I should have hired a caterer instead. " All I can think is maybe they should have been honest and up front and said it was not in their wheelhouse to provide nearly 200 cupcakes. Not everyone has the capability, so bottom line - dishonest person that falsely promised what they could not deliver -- 2 stars for delivering on time and getting them set up. read more

We were suppose to be notified when our Graduation cake was delivered [ didn't happen], [it was delivered to the restaurant as asked , but not notified , had a extra 100 mile round trip to get the cake that no one got to enjoy. no grad caps on the cake, the writing was all on color greyish black, the constitution was cut into two pieces and placed on two sides of the cake. Family said the icing tasted greasy , but the cake itself was good. SO HEART BREAKING. read more

Cupcakes review: So I have been to F & Goode a couple times now. It's not great. It's a teeny place with a funny name. The girl baker is indifferent. No service with a smile or anything. Doesn't make me feel welcome. Cupcakes are not pricey compared to other places but they are also not tasty. The two times I have come they are dry. Choco frosting is good but I haven't liked the others. They are regular cupcakes - no filling & small for $2.50 a piece. I eat cupcakes almost everyday but I won't be back here for them. read more

We got our wedding cake made by F & Goode, and we were BEYOND happy with the cake!!! Stefanie is SUCH a pleasure to work with - she is so sweet and she listened very well to everything that we wanted in a cake. The tasting was so fun; she made us cupcakes in the cake/frosting combos that we wanted to try and made extra so that we could take some home. We decided on a "funfetti" cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. The wedding cake itself turned out BEAUTIFULLY and more importantly was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Everything Stefanie makes is so delicious and pleasing to the eye that it's difficult to pick one or even just a couple of items to boast about as my favorite so I'll mention a few . . . the Brownies are a chocoholic's dream come true, the Macaroons are perfect, the Sugar Cookies are too cute to eat and the Coco Bombs really are "the bomb" and even more "bomb" with a little brandy! As far as cookies go, ive had my share of awesome ones. Ive never ordered cookies online though. I was a bit skeptical. I placed my order, and a very short while later, a dozen of the most delicious chocolate chip cookies ive ever had show up on my doorstep. Seriously. This is a newer bakery that took up residence in a space previously occupied by a now defunct bakery in the Historic City Hall/Jail square off Palizada. My review is strictly about the SMores's as they are truly something special and everyone I know is tired of me relaying how terrific this treat is. Here's the deal: homemade, moist graham crackers dipped in bittersweet dark chocolate ganache, with smooth marshmallow, and topped with delicate toasted coconut. (see picture) If you like the sound of these ingredients and find yourself in San Clemente, CA DONT MISS THS TREAT. Amazing bakery. Great owner and baker with a ability to make something so amazing you will eat the entire thing. So far I have tried . Cinnamon rolls!! Holy wow!!! Just make it there and experience one for yourself. Decadent and soft and so balanced in sweetness and flavor. Cookies: all of them are amazing. Choco coconut and snicker doodles are my personal faves and the PB is right there Brownies: this is my weakness here. There are a coup types and I have left work when I see the owner Post on IG. Lemmon bars are out of this world. Just leave one for me is all I ask. Gluten free cake with almonds and berries have been so light and sweet. I had a fantastic experience with F & Goode Desserts! I ordered a two tiered stout cake with a "bailey's" buttercream for a baby shower I was hosting. The first thing I have to comment on is how amazing it tasted. It was so yummy and everyone at the party loved the cake. I also loved the way it looked. I emailed Stephanie pictures of what I liked and she created a beautiful simple semi-naked cake that was perfect on my cake table. On top of that Stephanie was extremely helpful and accommodating during the whole process. I would absolutely recommend her awesome bakery to anyone who is looking for desserts for any occasion. Born and raised in SF, Bay Area. Over 20 years of professional baking experience and countless years of home baking as a child. I loved watching the CIA Chefs on PBS on Saturday and Sunday mornings when I was a teenager. My favorite sound was listening to the whisks beat against the copper bowls making meringue and whipped cream. I love baking sweets for people to make them smile!

We were beginning to cut the cake at 7 pm ( plenty of time to thaw we thought). As we cut it, the icing was very thick. The icing was like a brick and was just falling off the cake. As we cut the actual cake itself, it began to crumble. Every single piece of our cake fell apart while cutting. We used 3 different knives to cut it and had 2 different people attempting to cut it. We tried bigger and thin slices. Each piece just crumbled. The actual cake itself did taste good, but the icing was so thick. It was more icing than actual cake. We were very disappointed. My aunt went back to the store to get the issue resolved. It was her wedding gift to us and she wanted us to have a very good cake. She talked to the owner of the store and presented him with a video of the cake cutting. His immediate response was to blame the knife we used. He then asked if a caterer cut it. We did use 3 different knives ( two of which were designed to cut and serve cakes ). For cakes at this price point, if it needed such specific instructions for cutting, it should be known to the customer beforehand ! He did offer a refund but my aunt preferred the cake remade as this was a present and she wanted it done well for us. When we got the cake remade, it was beautiful. They made it better the second time than the first. They also included specific cutting instructions with the remade cake. This would have been useful to have the first time. When they dropped it off the first time no instructions were included and the people who dropped it off said nothing. They said multiple times they assumed we would be having a caterer which is why they didn't bother to say anything and then proceed to blame us later when the whole cake fell apart. Every single person at this cake shop had an attitude about the situation and could not be bothered to apologize or seem remorseful for the situation. This was my wedding cake, my guest and I were all extremely disappointed. I would not return again or ever recommend this shop to anyone else.

The day after the cake tastes as good if not better than the day we picked it up on. Such a fan of this bakery!! I think this is the tiniest bakery ever but boy does it pack a punch! Their cookies are awesome! I think I have found the most amazing lemon bar ever! The lemon flavors burst in your mouth. The brownie is to die for too. We went to the wedding tasting and I was underwhelmed. We paid a deposit anyways and planned use her despite being underwhelmed because the cake was our least important thing. However, we decided to cancel our wedding and elope in another country, thus no longer needing a wedding cake. I called her to let her know, didn't ask for our deposit back even once, although she made sure to repeatedly tell me that the deposit is non-refundable. I never asked for it. Instead, I asked to apply my $75 deposit towards a birthday cake for my son instead. She said I would just have to pick it up no later than our originally planned wedding date. No problem. His birthday was the same weekend anyways. About a month before I was supposed to pick the cake up, I got a phone call telling me I hadn't shown up to a design session, but I had nothing on my end saying I was ever scheduled. I had canceled the original session, and the day she called me wasn't even close to the original date, so I was very confused and apologized because I thought that maybe I had made a mistake. Fast forward to yesterday, I called to see if my cake was ready for pickup, as I like to confirm things before wasting my time and gas. She told me that "all cakes for today are ready" but never even asked my name or tried to confirm my cake was there. I hung up with her a little surprised by her lack of professionalism but still trusted that she was on top of things. The next day, today, I went to pick up the cake and she didn't have it. In fact, she didn't have any of my paperwork or anything. I had to call my fiancé to have him send me a photo of our original paperwork (which I didn't bring because I was no longer picking up a wedding cake). Eventually, she found my original order attached to someone else's order. She said that we have the same initials and she must have mixed them up. To me, that's just poor observation skills. So there I was, picking up a cake that wasn't made but "lucky" for me she had a 1/4 sheet chocolate cake in the back she would ice and write on. Knowing that this was pretty much my only option at this point, I went with it. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. My deposit was $75, the cake actually cost $45, and I bought 2 number candles for $8.50. I was very overcharged for this plain, ugly cake and was still charged for the damn candles. Never again will I recommend this bakery. I had wanted to support a local, woman-owned business, but I can't in good conscience support this one. She's disorganized, rude (she told a customer in front of her brand new employee that she wasn't good at using the register -- the look on that poor girls face broke my heart), and doesn't pay attention to important details, which is why this mess happened. I've attached a photo of the cake I got. I'm giving 2 stars because she did, at the very least, provide me with a chocolate cake.
