I'm not a Yelp native, but I'm posting my google review here cause people need to know about these amazing people. (I'm in New York - idk why I'm set to San Francisco.) Bed Bug King (Hill & Sons Pest Management) is so conscientious and caring. My roommates and I were dealing with nightmarish landlords: even after multiple inspections and confirmations of bed bugs, the owners of our building were still resisting treatment. They even booked Bed Bug King and then refused to let them continue for no good reason. Bed Bug King would have been well within their rights to step away from the whole ridiculous situation.  But Nicolas, Cecilia, and Wendy were so diligent and compassionate in the way they advocated for us and empowered us with information. They all worked with us and our landlords to get our home treated and fought for us when we were unlikely to get it.  Nicolas and Jonathan both came to our home to do treatments, and they gave us thorough instructions and answered tons of questions. Bed Bug King are excellent at getting rid of bed bugs. My review is late , like 3 years late. In my defense I wanted to assure I was bedbug free. I hired Bed Bug King AKA Hill and Sons Pest Management in 2012. I found them thru a yellow logo they placed in some wire fence in main street. The exterminators are excellent professional and kind. The offer a one treatment then a repeat treatment in 30 or 60 days that is inclusive in the price. Nicholas was my exterminator, He is so sweet, kind , professional, even helps you with moving light furniture. I am happy that I am bedbug free, but it was nice seeing Nicholas. It is sad that the recent reviews by yelpers are stating that the service is going down the drain. They were excellent when I hired them, I hope the continue to provide that white glove service to everyone. I've used BBK (Hill & Sons Pest Management) on 2 big occasions: one for bed bugs years ago and the other, more recently, for more general pest management for my rental property. The first time I did business with BBK, I was really impressed with the family feel of the business and the professionalism of the exterminators. They did great work at a fair price. BBK did such a great job that they were the first company I contacted for a general pest cleanout (roaches, waterbugs, and mice). They did a top to bottom pest treatment and prevention. Not only were the exterminators thorough, but they were so patient to explain the issues, treatment options, and chemicals used. Even with the whole bed bug epidemic going on, I still never thought I could get it. I'm a fairly young guy who likes to keep this place extremely clean. But for a few nights I started to feel discomfort and red bumps started to appear all over my body. After a few more days I went to my dermatologist to only find out those bumps were bed bug bites. I have to say for a while I was shocked. So from there the hunt for an exterminator began. I had one company come to my apartment, but they quoted me at an arm and a leg rate of 1200 dollars. I told them thanks but no thanks. I heard there are alot of bastards in this industry and companies try to rip people off and prey on the insecurity. Eventually a buddy of mine referred me to the bed bug king because they had worked on someone he knew with the same problem. They came in and inspected my whole apartment thoroughly to the point where I felt like a colombian drug lord getting stung by the DEA. Mark who is the owner of the business gave me a fair price based on the sized y problem which wasn't to the point of no return according to him. 3 months later,no bites more sleep. Edwin S. serviced my house today. He was very knowledgeable about the issue and worked very neatly. He moved my dishwasher and put it back neatly afterwards. He moved my fridge, swept behind it, sprayed and put it back. He put the gel neatly along the cabinets and then checked all the areas in the basement that I was concerned about. He also treated the area with different things and explained what each one was used for, addressed my toxicity concerns, told me about "green" options, explained how long different pesticides last, whether the substance would stain or whether it was water based, etc. Overall, he did a great job and I will definitely be requesting him anytime I need an exterminator. I was taking my daughter to day care when I caught the exterminator out of the corner of my eye. My building is a dump (the apartments are nice). Apparently enough people have been complaining and violations and fines finally get the attention of the landlord. So they called a new pest management company. I will not recommend this company due to unprofessionalism, bad mannerism, lack of information within staff, very arrogant manager Celicia and the receptionist Diana. My appointment was scheduled for 10/10/2020, instead they took it upon themselves to change it to 10/17/2020 without informing me. When I called to rectify it their behavior is not what a customer expects to receive. Now Diana said to me "her manager Celicia said we not doing any business with you." When I requested information I was told by Diana "I can't give you that." In my entire life I have never dealt with such arrogant behavior from a company when they messed up. HILLS PEST CONTROL / A BEG BUG KING relieved me of the ultimate nightmare: BEG BUGS!! I found the bugs in my apartment on Friday, 4th of July weekend. The management company of my apartment walked me through the process to use their exterminator, and after lots of talk it turned out they would only service my apartment "maybe Thursday or Friday next week". I decided I couldn't live with them that long and called HILLS PEST CONTROL. Lucy was on the phone with me for half an hour explaining everything I had to do to get ready for the technicians. She walked me through the entire process (yes, it's daunting) and answered all of my millions of questions. Eventually I asked about an appointment, expecting to hear about how long I would have to wait... "how about today at 3pm"!!! The two technicians arrived punctually. They were friendly, polite, efficient and incredibly dedicated. They serviced my apartment as if it were the most important task of their lives. Though contracting with HILLS PEST CONTROL includes 1-2 followup visits and a 1 year warranty, I am convinced these guys did such an incredible job I won't have to worry about any bed bugs coming back here. I HIGHLY recommend this company. Not cheap, but not the most expensive; and they definitely are worth every penny, should you ever encounter the nightmare of bed bugs in your life. read more
