Rented a small office in Queens Village area. Suddenly, the place was overrun by flies. I'm talking more than 50 flying around. That's what happens when the door in the back is right by a dumpster, and that door ain't even sealed well. Called up Bug Techs, and someone answered the phone right away. They asked their questions and asked how soon would I like someone out there. I said as soon as possible. They said how about in 30 minutes. I said great. They quoted me $175 to do the job. Last pest control company wanted $450 (big one in Long Island City, thx for the highballing me). They actually came out in 30 minutes, they spayed, all flies were dead in minutes. I had a nest of yellow jackets under the siding of my house. Bit me and the two kids. The technician who came asked where I noted them coming into the house. He then went over that area carefully as well as the entire front showing me other points of entry before filling them. Then, in addition to the area of nest, he did the ENTIRE perimeter of the house. So far I have not seen a yellowjacket. Only problem, I'm still waiting for a receipt read more

The first time: Mr.Shaquil came in on the same day, He was extremely efficient and knowledgeable. We hired Bug Techs Pest Control to get rid of a large wasp nest that had been growing on our property. They provided a 30 day warranty and a few weeks later the wasps were starting to build another nest nearby. Bug techs pest control came back and removed the nest. Just an update - the ants did stay away for a whole year from when they came and sprayed, but with a new spring season they popped back up. Shakil came over same day and sprayed my place and set up all sorts of baits outside to kill the pesky colony. I trust that it'll work as well as it did last year. If I could give this company NO STARS, I would. The problem is simple: They will quote you one price when you initail call and set up an appointment. Then when thye get to the job, they will raise the price. I was quotes a price of $225.00. The day of the fumigation, he said the price was now $275.00 When I told him that I would pay the jacked-up fee, but I would never do business with him again, he called five minutes later saying that the price was $325. THEIR WORD MEANS NOTHING. Expect to be asked to pay a higher fee than was quoted to you. They are thieves. read more

I reviewed this company recently, but for some reason, Yelp listed my state as being in California, whereas I live in NYC. Bug Techs is an unsavory company. You cannot trust their prices because they will quote you one price and then when they arrive to do the job, they will jack up the price. Their word means nothing. I actually received a texted message from them today, after they discoered the bad review. They offered me a $50 discount IF I WERE TO REMOVE THE BAD REVIEW. I told them that I never wanted to do business with them ever again, and also told them where they could stick that $50 discount. Echoing the comments that another customer said, you cannot rely on Shakil to honor follow ups or additional service. He was hired for a mouse problem almost a year ago and did not satisfactorily address follow up concerns. We tried to reach him for a second time over the weekend, and had an appointment on Monday at 9 am. When he had failed to show up by 9:15 my husband gave him a call and he informed us he was not going to make it. Super unprofessional and disrespectful - he could have left a message or texted.
