I expected some difficulty finding a person, but it became a real problem after weeks of finding no one Finally we found a wonderful woman who was perfect. She came approximately 3 times before disappearing. I was told by Griswold that she left town and could not be located. Griswold promised to continue the search for a replacement. I left their scheduler a request to contact me regardless of whether he found someone or not. At this point, my Griswold contacts stopped communicating with me for reasons unknown. If they are no longer interested in doing business with me, they have not said so. It saddens me to write this. I thought I had a good professional relationship with this company. At this time I am not able to recommend Griswold Home Care. They are far too quick to promise and slow to produce the services they claim to provide. Their vetting process is sloppy. They do not communicate well within the company nor outside of it, with customers.

I found Care Renewed online and the reviews were all excellent so I called and Fritzi was in our kitchen in 2 hours to discuss care and had a caregiver for us the same evening. I finally had a good night sleep! The team that worked around the clock to take care of my grandmother was so warm, lovable and competent. I spent many hours there with them. They took care of everything in her home from laundry, cleaning, bathing to just hanging out and listening to her stories. It's nice to be comfortable with caregivers when they start out strangers and now feel like family. We had a previous experience with a home health company so I was reluctant to hire another. The former sent an aide that was sick and asleep when I stopped by. My mom was struggling physically/mentally and would just moan. One caregiver told her to be quiet multiple times. Another one refused to help because she had asked for too much help. One was busy on her phone and didn't bother to put my mom to bed so my mom fell asleep on her recliner. I tried to talk to the person assigned to me for staffing and she didn't answer texts/calls. I cancelled with her because the people that they were sending were so bad, that it was better to have no one. I got no answer till after the weekend and I was told that I needed to give more notice. I explained that I tried to give notice, but that person wasn't answering their phone. They sent one last person out that they claimed was their best and no one had every complained. After that person got my mom to sleep, she turned tv to the station she wanted (in room next to my mom) and then started calling friends on the phone and talking loudly over the tv. Find your own caregivers. Staffing agencies send people that couldn't get jobs on their own.

Despite husband's Immobility and frailness, David managed to get him in the wheelchair and delivered him to the home. Great service! But on the return, another younger driver refused to help my husband to get back in bed from the wheelchair so he sat in it for an hour before his nurse arrived. They just 'dumped' him in the living room and also had a hard time getting the wheelchair up one step into the home. I understand the liability issues but their website gives the impression they will help with patients with mobility issues.

I was recommended to them from my surgeon after I found out that my husband could not be present that day. I met one of the head folks over there, Deborah, and she was just lovely and warm as can be. She wanted to make sure they could fulfill my needs, and booked someone to see me through my first day and someone else to see me through the night. Both ladies were superb, very knowledgable, but also very supportive and encouraging through my difficult day. Everyone was on time and ready to help with my every need, from making note of all of my medications and foreseeing any events that might arise. I wasn't ready to shower yet but I know they would have helped me with that as well. I will probably need more help after another procedure and I wouldn't hesitate to call them. I could tell that they really cared about my comfort and about me as a person. We called and spoke with the staff at Halo. They were very comforting to answer any of our questions. We spoke with the owner Adam about our insurance benefits. He was helpful andvery knowledgeable about long-term care insurance. We were very surprised about how quickly they were able to start the service. I called on a Friday at 4 PM The initial assessment was set at 6:30p. And by 7 PM they had a wonderful caregiver there to cover the overnight. She helped us organize and get my grandmother comfortable into bed. I realized that as a family we were way over our head and trying to provide care ourselves. Because our caregiver made everything that we were struggling with look very easy. Overall this is a wonderful business. And the caregivers are so very caring. I would recommend them to anyone.
