We used Heavenly Care for my Dad while he was in hospice. The caregivers were wonderful. I would not recommend them due to an incident with one of the caregivers who was walking around our property (no reason for her to be outside) and her foot fell through a plank in our deck (not a damaged deck). We reported this incident immediately to HC. Alice, the owner contacted me and asked me to pay for the medical check using our homeowners policy. Are you kidding me, this was completely inappropriate - as they inspected our property before coming out and we were not the caregivers employer. We were losing our father and we were in no way financially responsible for this incident nor could we handle this kind of issue while facing the death of our father. I would definitely not recommend this company. I have been a healthcare administrator for over 30 years - and knew the procedures for employee incidents. Despite extensive conversations at the initial meeting about the fact that my condition could very moment to moment, and so plans could change just like that. We were assured that this would not be a problem. Clearly, it was a problem. The first time we scheduled the information we received from the attorney changed and so we changed the dates at the last minute and then had to cancel. Then our second attempt we were told that it took too long and too much effort to get caregivers for me and that because we had canceled at the last minute even though we paid the fee that was a huge inconvenience. read more

They really care and established a relationship with my family and helped my mom through some of the hardest times of her life. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing in home care. I cannot recommend Heavenly Care highly enough. Several of us were trying to help a friend in hospice, and Heavenly Care worked with us to get her the care she needed, to make sure the insurance was correctly done, to schedule the kind of care she needed. They were kind, compassionate, clear, organized. TThere were a couple of caregivers who weren't a great fit, and so they simply blocked those people off the calendar. Run! They will leave you stranded without a ride home then charge you the full amount. The caregivers are rude, irresponsible, and late. I have a heart condition and they left me for 45 minutes with no ride home. I almost had to go to ER because the event was so disturbing. Then the owner refused to give me ANY type of refund. I am a reasonable person. I tried and tried to give benefit of doubt, but I have never, in 15 years of hiring caregivers, ever had such an awful situation. read more

When my very ill friend was discharged from the hospital (on short notice) under hospice care, the team at Heavenly Care was able to shore up round-the-clock caregivers with only 24 hours notice. Donna sat down with me and created a good central plan that the caregivers would work from, and both her and Kevin were amazing and responsive partners whenever there was a question or need. AAA+++! i am extremely grateful to Heavenly Caregivers Services. While I'm not a senior yet, I have had a need for transportation services to/from hospitals and dental offices for procedures that require some type of sedation. In those cases, I was not allowed to drive myself nor use a taxi. Since I don't have family in the area and I don't like bothering friends in these situations, I was ecstatic to learn that Heavenly Caregivers provided transportation services at a very reasonable hourly rate. If needed, I could have also requested a caregiver to help me at home after my procedures; however, I never took advantage of that service given my procedures were relatively minor. I have used their transportation services several times over the past few years and think it's a wonderful service. The office staff as well as the drivers are extremely professional, friendly, flexible and helpful. While I try to give them advance notice of my transportation needs, they have been able to fulfill my last minute requests as well. Overall, I highly recommend this company and I will definitely use them again in the future! read more

Following is a portion of a letter I wrote to Co-Owner Miss Alice as I call her. "Miss Alice I can't put into words how much what you and your staff have meant to me and Mom. Miss Yvonne (weekends) and Miss Anita (weekdays) always provided very reliable care to Mom as if she was one of their own. You were always such a caring and sympathetic resource for me. We recently contracted with Heavenly Care to care for our mom. Very disappointed. We researched and met with many care service companies but was impressed with Carly Toal and her promises of "the extra mile" and especially that there was always a backup when caregivers couldn't come. We had an unusual scheduling request and Carly assured us it wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately nothing Carly told us was true in our experience. Caregivers weren't consistent and most were not trained as we'd been promised. The most disturbing thing is that on two occasions they just didn't show up. Didn't have anyone to send. I needed home care for my mother after her release from a cardiac rehab facility. Heavenly Caregivers was recommended by the insurance company. Senior & Administrative staff were more interested in money than patient needs. They "bullied" my mother into signing documents she couldn't understand due to her medical condition. No stability with their caregivers; a new person each day who were marginally qualified at best. Caregivers erroneously coded their provided services as "for patient convenience" instead of for true medical necessity so the insurance company denied the claim. Heavenly Caregivers finally admitted their coding errors and submitted a corrected insurance claim but it was beyond the insurance deadline so claim was denied again. Heavenly Caregivers then harassed my mother for full payment before turning it over to a collection agency. One word: HORRIBLE! read more
