Away from the crowds, big box gyms is a gym hidden in the landscape of Oak Hill in plain sight and…read morefrequented by a devout group of fitness folks. When I could no longer tolerate the big box gyms, the crowds that flock to them and the bad behaviors that have cropped up over time, I finally made the move to this gym. Sure it's smaller, sure it doesn't have daycare, saunas, pools, giant changing rooms but I consider all those things a plus. People who show up here show up to work out not sit at the sauna and pool all day. The price point is higher than most gyms but not unreasonable. You get what you pay for -- mostly in peace and quiet and an overall more courteous gentler crowd. There is a good mix of equipment that can handle a mix of folks who just want fitness, folks who are into bodybuilding and powerlifters. For the most part all three groups exist in peace. Perhaps the general fitness folks may at times be a little intimidated by some of the louder harder workouts of the powerlifters. But this can be mitigated by changing the time you go. I get overstimulated by such noises so I try to avoid those folks if I can. ( I can be a gentle flower lol) Gender balance. This gym has a very healthy gender balance. Luckily this crowd is not there to find suitors, they are there to work out so no fake eyelashes or clown makeup nor guys just dragging their wings along the ground like turkeys in heat. Please respect this dynamic and don't come here to hit on people. Like most gyms the peak time is 5-7 week days except it's mostly Monday to Wednesday that's somewhat busy during rush hour. But nothing like the big box gyms. It's busy but not impossible to get a workout in like other gyms. Folks are not aggressive with each other, they are kind when they approach you for working in etc. I take a long time at some machines people should be upset but there is no upset, only kindness. They are swapping out some of the equipment and its changes for the better -- mind you what's there is already plenty. This is a small gym floor compared to mix chain gyms. The gym in Lincoln village is slightly larger and the new one in round rock will be huge. The hours are great. Parking is plenty however not endless, sometimes you will have to hunt a little. The gym is clean, bathrooms is clean but could be better. I am just being honest. It's just fine. I have been spoiled by Lifetime and EOS. There is a regular crowd that's been there a long time and they sometimes do exert a little bit of ownership and territorial behavior but they are mostly harmless, they could use the challenge of new faces, and they are perfectly able to adapt and accept newcomers. So don't be intimidated. It's all teddy bears in there. The staff also is amazingly friendly and attentive and keep the place sharp and on top shape and help members. I highly recommend you get a week pass and check it out!

Easiest 5 stars I've ever given a business…read more Been lifting here for 6 months.. was my intro back into powerlifting(for passion). People of all ages genuinely love this gym. I've made 50 or so friends and acquaintances with all the members.. the demographic is all ages here, at all fitness levels. The main reason I adore this gym, is the quality of equipment, and availability of said equipment. As someone who's 30 years old and has been lifting weights since they were 15.. I know my way around a gym. This gym has EVERYTHING you could ever need to build your dream body, and they're not endorsing me to say these words. I am passionate about fitness, some would say more than average. Los Campeones is truly a gym of champions. Choose this gym.

Gina knows her stuff and is so helpful and approachable. If you're in the Austin area reach out! OR if you're not (like me) I highly recommend her online training program. I would yoyo between all or nothing and never quite found something that I could integrate into my lifestyle. It was not only demoralizing, but every time I fell off the wagon I felt like an additional hurdle was being added to getting the lifestyle that I really aspired to. I felt like it was a constant battle with little to no results. I love training with Gina. She is like a trainer, therapist and friend all rolled into one amazing person. She's always pushing me harder and she has honestly changed my life. I love feeling strong and it makes me sad that I went through so much of my life without knowing what that felt like - my one regret is not finding her sooner! She is very thorough and really explains the reasons behind certain movements, or why the grip is a certain way, or how I should be breathing - as someone who asks a LOT of questions and likes to know the nitty gritty, I really appreciate that. She's always asking me what I like and don't like and switching things up so nothing feels stale. She's tough and supportive at the same time, and magically seems to knows what I'm capable of. She's changed working out from something that I would dread, to something that I really look forward to. She's always going above and beyond what she needs to do. She's built such an amazing network of women, who are all supportive and encourage each other. She's constantly sharing tips on anything and everything - from nutrition, to dance moves, to just lifestyle. She's always there for me, even if it's a random text when I feel "off", or tagging me in things she thinks I would like, I can honestly say that she's one of the most thoughtful people I've met. So glad I know her now and happy to call her my trainer-friend-superhero. P.S. She has the cutest pups who are just amazing bonuses.

There are tons of really nice treadmills, some with a running track that is curved and more rugged like you are running outdoors on a trail. The bikes are great, very updated. I do think the weights machines are outdated and need to be replaced. The TRX area has some classes. They also have several rooms with Pilates reformers, barre classes, as well as yoga, and circuit training. There are fancy stretching machines and massage chairs! Bonus! The sauna and steam room are separate sexes located in the locker rooms for privacy. The showers have good quality hair products and body wash. They even have razors and q-tips as well as cotton wipes. Hair dryers are available too. The pool area is really like a resort it is so nice. Plenty of loungers to relax on and good shade spots. This gym has all the beautiful people haha. Everyone is in like Lulu-lemon and dress to impress. Fun but a little intimidating when you wear old gym closes. They also have pickleball courts and basketball. You can take a pickleball lesson and sign up to play with others when comfortable. Lastly there is a spa and hair salon as well as a food center with high quality ingredients. This place is really really nice. I have never seen a nicer club in my life!

Telling me I had 2 prior violations of booking changes - turns out that was also incorrect because I only had 1 prior violation whereby I couldn't make it in time due to nyc subway being stopped. This time it was lifetime who booked me for 60 min when I wanted 30 min. I'm so over the spa here / they never have an esthetician available and charge $95 for a 30 min massage which is expensive by any means and the front desk manager is a bitch!
