The server barely spoke to us. Never smiled. The mood in the whole place was oppressive.

Let's align our expectations: this is a bar, and this is bar food. This is not fine dining, and…read moreit's not meant to be. It's basic, simple, casual food. On a recent trip, my wife and I stopped in and had burgers and fries, about as straightforward as it gets. Was it the best burger we've ever had? No. Was it the worst? Not even close. It was pretty decent. Not especially memorable, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. The inside was a little smoky from the fryer or grill top, so we decided to sit outside. Even though it was warm, it turned out to be a pretty decent day for it. The staff was friendly, including to our dog, which is always a plus. Overall, it was cheap, filling, and perfectly fine for what it is. We would go back. Also, we didn't even ask for extra fries, but the waitress brought us extra fries because she thought there was not enough served with our burger! To those about to nosh, we salute you.

Awesome place!!! Service was exceptional and food was absolutely delicious. I'm not gluten free,…read morebut seeing SO many options for GF is very rare and a super cool thing for them to do. The Philly steak wonton appetizer - incredible. The burger was one of the best that I've had in a long time. The bun was so soft and fresh, the patty itself was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and of course with fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinegar, you can never go wrong. We will 100% be back whenever we're in the area!! The menu is huge, there are so many things I'd love to try!

The number of times we have ordered to go for and the orders be wrong, shorted, items left out…read morecompletely, cooked wrong, overcharged, and various other issues is insane. I try not to complain especially for places we have always been partial to. But when an order is called in and it is plainly stated what is wanted and that the person would order something else if said item is unavailable to be tossed in the sauce and the person is reassured they have it then you expect it to be right. Tonight we had inedible fries, 3 half filled ranch cups to split between all 3 orders of fries, an appetizer of fried pickles, potato wedges, an 6 pc chicken tenders and it was reiterated that both orders needed extra ranch. The chicken was not tossed in the sauce and the sauce wasn't even provided for the chicken tenders. It's all pulled into one plate with no dividers so everything you order gets coated in whatever sides you ordered. The last few times we said we wouldn't order again but we really wanted things to be better because we used to really love it here. Out of the 5 people eating tonight nobody was satisfied and we are at work so we just have to deal with it. Truly disappointed that I have to even leave this review, but the last few times we tried to have things addressed it was met with little concern and/or "oh I'm sorry" but then repeating the same issue again. Let me edit to give credit where credit is due: Went back for correction on one of the plates and they remade it with no issues about it. I still stand by my 1 star just because this has became a consistent issue and the cost of gas running back and forth adds up. We hope maybe in the future if we give it another go then our score can increase and things will be better. We do understand being busy and things being overwhelming but if it is consistently too overwhelming to maintain quality then there may need to be adjustments made somewhere. If you do order just be sure to make sure everything is correct before you leave the best you can. Unfortunately in our situation it's usually a few people at work ordering and a 3rd party picking up

Food was great. The restaurant is cute and has a good vibe. The staff is very friendly.read more

I had been told to try this place out by a coworker, specifically their breakfast. On a whim I…read moredecided to go at about 11:45am, hoping they'd still be serving breakfast but they weren't so we had the lunch menu. At first glance, the place is very run down, it has the old southern diner feel, but I don't think they have enough employees to keep the place up 100%. Our waitress was very very nice, she was having to wait on folks and go back to wash dishes since they don't have a dishwasher (at the time of me posting this anyways). Half the seating was closed off and the lights dimmed. Aside from the scenery of the place, this is the type of restaurant you'd take your southern grandma too and she'd love it. You have all these southern dishes to choose from!! I was personally excited to see they serve liver mush sandwiches, so that's what I got. I added egg to mine and it was not expensive at all. It was very basic but gosh was it yummy. I also had a side of tropical fruit which came with pineapple, papaya, and peaches. All of that plus a sweet tea totaled to about 10 dollars. I tipped generously because I felt bad that they had no help. I truly do think this place could be buzzing with business, they just need the employees/help to do it. If you're in the area, I do suggest you go in and try the food, while the ambience/scenery isn't the greatest, you will be served with a smile and get some delicious southern home cooking. I wish the owners the best of luck.

Bacon was cold and too crisp. Refined wheat bread came unbuttered and too cool to add butter. Coffee was weak. The space was not exceptionally well maintained and had a 92.5% health department rating. The was a slight odor of cleaning fluid (something akin to PineSol) when you walked in the door. Wait staff was VERY polite and hard working, which makes a review like thus one hard to write, but which kicks this one to two stars. We suspect pre-boomer locals frequent the place, and have grown comfortable with the place.

This is the "flower" urn at the entrance. Don't think it's been cleaned out in a while.
