He suited me for a horse to fit my height and weight to feel safe and secure in the saddle. Gave me a brief lesson on safety and how to properly control the horse which I really appreciated since not most companies do. He took photos of me through the pastures and creeks, and educated me on the property and the history of the grounds around the area. She is in a prime location literally 3miles or less from the veterinary clinic that treated our horses. Which also happens to back up to Jefferson forest which has miles of trails to ride on. Shaina gives top notch care to ALL the horses on her property. When I was there, we found out my horse was "allergic to Kentucky". She would keep me posted on my horses bad days when I couldn't be there and would administer medication, special grain as directed/ or needed. Stalls always have fresh bedding. Fans are always on during hot summer days. I remember a time when it had gotten so cold in the winter,below -15 or -20°, shaina rented an outside heater, had the horses inside and she stayed with them in odd hours of the night. She always is on top of the weather and has plans for severe weather. She decorates the barn for holidays and keeps the barn clean. She also has a nice sized tack room to store all you belongings, and was kept locked (when I was there). When I found Out I was moving to Kentucky for good, I had found a house that could support my horse passion. She was the first person to volunteer and help me move my horses to my new place, (as I didnt have a trailer). She also helped give the most beautiful wedding a girl could ask for. My husband and I got married in Shelbyville ky at a venue that allowed horses. When I asked her if she would bring my horses to that venue so my horses could be apart of my special day, she did not hesitate. She was excited for me, and asked about the safest route to get there. She also has a dove release business as well that I used during my wedding day that added something different to our special day. Shaina is phenomenal. The list can go on.

I thought that with the cheap price it would be in a cheap setting, but I was wrong. The place is set on a beautiful quiet farm acre away from the city and traffic that I was most pleased with in the same town that I first got my dog. Dan, the older gentleman and owner of the business was very polite and patient with me, he even helped carry my 80lb great pyrenees' body to the crematorium. I even got to watch the cremation take place. Although he operates his business from out of his house, and the pet cemetery from out of his backyard its not as bad as it looks. All in all I'm satisfied that I got my dog cremated there, I feel like its only right to cremate him in the town he was from. Total cost of cremation along with his certificate and elegant urn came about $168, its not that cheap but compared to other places that range from $200 and above in Louisville its reasonable given for his size.

Brought my two pups here, my female dog and another female dog got into an altercation. It was a…read moremutual dog fight. I was able to separate them. I remained calm and apologized for the occurrence, our dog has never done this before and they were fine minutes prior. I was then screamed at and the owner threatened to get his gun and shoot both of my dogs. His dog had a cut behind her ear and my dog had her harness completely ripped off her from the dog biting her. This man screamed and almost turned into a physical altercation. I remained calm and tried to defuse the situation. He asked for my information which I provided and then he wouldn't give me his. Threatened me with his gun if I didn't pay his vet bills. Followed me home and had me go to the emergency vet. It was a very heated situation and I was very nervous. When at the vet he continued to make remarks about how he would kill both of my dogs. The vet had to physically remove me from the room due to my safety and the remarks they witnessed. I didn't think I had a choice besides paying their vet bill even though they had no concern about my dog that was bit and had marks all over her. The vet called me frantically this morning scared for my safety due to him picking up his dog and coming to my house to drag me out of my home AFTER I paid the entire bill. ****The vet also informed me they admitted to their dog being AGGRESSIVE, HAD NO SHOTS, and not neutered...... if I knew this prior I would've tried harder to get out of the situation but was scared. I've had to make a police report and am now concerned for my safety due to this altercation and him coming to my home again. I will not be returning. And I recommend going to a dog part where the animals are up to date on their shots.

I can recommend her services based upon her devotion to animals and her up-to-date knowledge of diseases, conditions, and appropriate treatments. Dr. Belcher is willing to listen to me and to answer my questions. Her mobile unit is equipped to provide most services/procedures that my animal family has ever needed. She maintains and shares with me detailed records through her use of technology. She has been fortunate to have excellent assistants who seem to enjoy their jobs greatly. They travel with her and assist with all tasks related to the appointments. A downside to any mobile vet is the time factor of arranging appointments. Sometimes the doctor is in another county when a need arises. I had an emergency bleeding situation with one of my dogs and had to seek help elsewhere. However, those times are not the norm. Dr. Belcher is also caring for the pets of some family members. This couple does not drive and appreciates the home site appointments as well as being able to order any required meds from the online pharmacy with home delivery.

I adopted Mazy, an 18 month old Red Doberman from BDR last year. They were wonderful to work with…read moreand helped me transition her into my house after losing my almost 11 year old female. My male was depressed and Mazy's foster mom spent over an hour on the phone with me telling me all about Mazy's personality and how she does with other dogs. This rescue always takes in the tough cases and really works on getting them into the right foster and forever homes. They have always stepped up with the difficult ones to take in, both physically and medically. They are a great group to work with when adopting a dog. I would highly recommend this rescue for adopting a Doberman. Just keep in mind that rescues are mostly volunteers that have other jobs and families to take care of. Patience with rescues pays off because they will help you find a dog that fits in with your lifestyle, home and family. I have adopted from other shelters/rescues before and have always been happy with the help I receive in choosing the right dog! BDR goes above and beyond for the dogs and the adopters!

I indicated on my application that I currently have a healthy and happy 3 year old doberman that we've had since she was 8weeks old. My wife and I work opposite shifts so someone is almost always home. Our doberman is very happy and receives lots of physical and mental stimulation because we understand her needs. I submitted my application over 3 months ago and she still remains in the rescue shelter. I understand the need to pair dogs in an environment that they would thrive in, my wife and I are very fit dog owners and submitted an extensive application which was met with a brief and dismissive reply.
