We stayed over the 4th of July. The location was perfect for walking to the festival, fireworks, and the parade route goes right in front of the hotel. We walked the paved path right in front of the hotel to restaurant and coffee shop nearby. The pool was clean and refreshing. The hot tub was nice too. Our family used the outdoor patio area with picnic tables to have a cook out. It was a wonderful, affordable place to stay for our vacation with our children ages 17, 10, and 8.

Also, they say they are "not a 24/7 motel". There is nobody there after 10:00 PM until morning. They gate and lock off the common areas, pool, dining area, etc. If your toilet blows up or there is a plumbing/electrical or other problem too bad ... see you in the morning.

Gorgeous 2 bedroom cabin. One room had 2 twin beds. The master room has a queen bed and a nice bathroom with a shower. There was also a second bathroom with no shower. Nice kitchen with all supplies you need. Cute living room area with two recliners and a 3 person couch. Tv and fireplace. We used the fireplace everyday, it was so nice! The decor is adorable.. rustic and northwoods themed.. so cute and inviting! We had a beautiful little deck/patio overlooking the lake and gorgeous pine trees. We relaxed our entire trip, playing cards, making cookies, watching movies, reclining by the fire, making hot chocolate, and enjoying the scenery and view. We ate dinner one night at the restaurant attached to the lodge/resort.. cant remember the name. The food was good! I had a wrap and onion rings.. the onion rings were perfect! We were the only ones in there besides two older men.. who we believe were talking about us (we were wearing chicago bears clothes.. in Wisconsin. . Oops!) The bartender, he's top notch. Service was just okay nothing special. This will be the last time for Thursday nite special for us. The room was nice and cozy warm too. It would have been nice to have a channel to know what we were watching but we were gone a lot. Room service was great too! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. One thing, feedback wise, is maybe to put a door before the hallway where the rooms are. The voices echo in the lobby and we could hear them all the way down the hallway. A little thing, but we noticed it. We would definitely stay here again, it was delightful and a great find!!

She takes great care of the cabins and always has great suggestions when you ask her about anything local from food to activities. The property is great for walks and there's some horses and donkeys to check out too. Our dogs always feel at home on the ranch. We love to ride ATV trails and Spur of the Moment has trail access. You ride from your front door to anywhere you like in the area, no trailering. On our last trip we brought a side x side and all the great trails permitted our lager machine. All of the meals we ate out we did by riding our machines to and Ann supplied us with maps so we knew where we were going. The trail system has so many local and long distant places to go to it's good for beginners as well as veterans. Last thing that we've always enjoyed is the other guests. The Ranch is not only good to ATV'ers it's VERY horse friendly. On a busy weekend you can have all types of guests and on every trip we've done it's never mattered what you're into, people are just friendly. It's flat out relaxing.
