We didn't think we'd have his ashes back before his memorial, but Stephanie made a special trip to the house when they came in the day before his service. We did not do the service at Dorsey-Carlone, just the cremation. Stephanie recommended the Cortlandt Colonial for the celebration of life, which worked out very well. It was the second month of the pandemic- April of 2020. I had previously made several calls to different funeral homes asking for my father to be picked up from the hospital and buried. No one was offering this service. It was all about cremation at this time, due to the pandemic. I found John Crawford who was a lifesaver during such a terrible time. He was able to bury my father who had died from covid, which was my fathers ultimate dying wish. John came through for me when no one else did, and he didn't ask me for a dime upfront. He told me not to worry about it, and he trusted me and in this day and age its so difficult for anyone to have trust. I was unable to attend the funeral, but he promised me he would say a prayer for my father and sent me pics of the casket as it was being lowered into the gravesite. I'll never forget John.
