Great service! Picked up tractor that wouldn't start, repaired and reyurned in just two weeks. Friendly courteous service.

Sent our Craftsman mower for repair and tune up May 6. After 10 days and not hearing from them with an estimate, I called, they gave me the estimate, I agreed and they said they had all parts in stock except 1 and they would order. 2 weeks later after still not hearing from them I called , they said it was ready and would be delivered. I went to Hillside and paid in full....they delivered the WRONG lawnmower I sent it back figuring I would get ours later that day, it never showed up! I called again! Now the answer is it was not ready and they were still waiting for a part and did not know when it would be in, but they could deliver the lawnmower even though it was not working. I asked why would I want a lawnmower that does not work? They said while they wait for the part(now that makes a lot of sense). Meanwhile I asked what part they were waiting for and what it referenced to the lawn mower. Come to find out it was a part THEY broke and had charged me for...6 weeks to get my lawnmower back.... Last time I will give this local business my business, several years ago the "lost" our snowblower too, they did replace that, but how do you loss it? read more

Went here with my best friend to look for a mower. Fella helping us out was fantastic, explained everything. Great selection. She bought a zero-turn radius mower in early afternoon, and they went OUT OF THEIR WAY to deliver it to her home that same day, even though it meant they needed to stay open a fair bit longer. Most places, in my experience, would throw up their hands and say, "oh, that's life... I know we said today but... you know..." But this place...over the phone at 4:59pm... "tell yer friend to put her mowing shoes on - we're heading over to her now!" Freaking awesome and made her day/weekend. read more

Stopped here because I like to support local, Mom and Pop business's... My mistake... this place is a joke... but... my own fault, I didn't ask for a price before having 2 very small trailer tires replaced. (picture a small plastic home depot lawn and garden trailer with tires I could have bought for 19.99 apiece I checked) Instead $130 later I walked out with my tires... AND they didn't even clean the rims!! AND the little old miserable fella that rang me up had the effrontery to get snippy with me when I expressed my disdain for the price... These guys could have had a nice new, local customer for life if they hadn't been so money grubbing, gouging, overpriced and lacking of personality, customer service and civility. read more

Went and bought a kioti 2610 there off of Manny the owner . He gave me a great deal and some free bees. He runs a great company there just like a family also did my 50 hour service and price was very resonable. I recommend anyone to who needs a tractor or service he is the man. Now to all the haters out there there is 2 sides to every story. But Manny and his company are honest people trying to make a living. I will be a costumer for life. read more

Surprising to see any negative reviews. My first visit involved a need for parts for a chainsaw I knew little about. Since one of the items needed was a new chain, they asked just enough questions to get a good sense of my experience with chainsaw and expectations. End result led me to better than ever performance. Most recent experience involved purchase of a new, commercial grade zero turn mower. Again, just enough questions to get on to the right model and they made an ideal recommendation for a heavy duty residential version. I ended up going higher due to choosing a few extra features I decided I wanted. Everyone I've dealt with there, from sales people to office staff to delivery people have been professional and helpful. read more

Stay away, I sent my 2010 zero turn in to have my bagger installed and they purposely broke the screw holes for the main housing, to sell me a brand new one. You can see where they used a screwdriver to tear the rugged plastic! I have before and after pictures of everything of all my parts, showing it WAS NOT damaged before it was picked up by them. They had my mower a total of 43 days to install the new bagger (over $700.00) and everytime I called, they had a new lie, about waiting for parts, or they just let the voicemail pickup! Manny is lazy and arrogant and refused to explain what was going on to me or my wife. You could hear him in the background, saying "I don't want to talk to them". After 43 days I finally got an anwser. I was informed the new bagger will not fit my machine. I told them to return it to me, which they did the following day. The mower was returned a complete, wreck! Filthy and rusty from sitting outside in the elements for nearly 2 months. My back bumper with my trailer hitch was missing. It was only partially assembled with missing parts and bolts that I had no idea where they went. I sent it out in ONE piece. Thats when I looked at my before photos and seen the bolt holes is the plastic bagger, I gave them to put on had been deliberately torn with force, for the obvious, to sell a new bagger! It left with a full tank of gas, came back empty. How could this be? Did they cut their grass with it. It looked like the bagger I gave them was being used before it was intentionally damaged, when they where faced with the realization, they couldn't fit the new bagger and had to return the old one! I swear, they sold mine, it was filled with grass clippings and dirt, it was immaculate when it was given to them. They picked up the bagger and mower with both manuals with my maintenance and serial #, they lost them both, I was given a generic printout of the mower manual only. Unacceptable! Bit shady at the least. Something shady happened with this mower and when they realized it all had to be returned in original condition, they panicked and that's when they decided to break the bagger, so I could never install one again and they slapped it back together with major missing parts and damage! Stay clear of this shady, dishonest, lazy place, full of arrogant people that acted like I was a burden and tried to make us feel like we where inconveniencing them! This is by far the worst experience I have encountered in my 53 years of doing business with ANYBODY! I contacted Ariens Corporate Offices and filed a complaint and I am moving forward with taking legal action for vandalizing my machine and the condition in which it was returned to me. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR NONSENSE REPLY, IF THEY SHOULD HAVE THE AUDACITY TO POUR FUEL ON THIS FIRE WITH A REPLY OF LIES! I will be posting this zero star review with the help of my wife, family and friends on every platform possible! So nobody else has EVER got to go through this experience with these dishonest people! read more

I called to have my ride-on mower picked up for some repairs and I have to say I was shocked they have a flat rate for pick up and delivery of $65.00 no matter where you live on top of repair costs. I live about a half mile from their business in Berkley, MA and was shocked they don't have a program to charge by the mile with cost built in to load/unload the tractor. I would totally understand that. Needless to say that was out of my budget so I will look elsewhere for service. Business opportunity lost for Hillside. Disappointed Berkley Resident read more

I purchased a new Kioti ck2610HST, from them in November. They had basically what I needed in stock, but I wanted ag tires and a blocke heater installed. I dealt with the owner, and found him to be very responsive. Tractor was delivered when they said it would be. All parts were properly installed, all bolts were properly tightened, which is more than I can say for three per dealers I have bought tractors from. I have not had to have them do any repairs on the machine, so I can't speak to that, but I did call them for a question on lubricants , and again I dealt with the owner. I would go back there for any repairs or purchase without question. read more

2 years ago I brought my weed wacker and cultivator that was gasoline-powered there to be repaired. Didn't hear from them for 2 months. When I did hear from them, they lost both of them. They tried to give me a weed wacker that was about 10 years older than the one I dropped off, and had no explanation for my cultivator. Be careful! read more

Absolute worst place ever. Do not bring your equipment there. Literally every item I brought there to be fixed broke down within 1-3 days after repair and or servicing. They never called back once when they said. They had my backpack blower there for over four months and kept telling me they were waiting for a part they're waiting for a part we will call you back later and let you know what's going on and never did. I voiced my displeasure to the owner Manny and he seemed to not give too much of a crap about my displeasure.
