Food was horrible felt like I was at the boardwalk. Very pricey drinks were weak. Would not recommend this place

This place is a joke. Do not believe their postings. They are closed for over 10 days and they do not update Yelp, nor Google

Run, don't walk the Rural City. If you want the feel of a local community bar/pub with great, well…read morecrafted beer then Rural City is your place. The range of available beers will suit everyone in your group. I am a local. This is my regular, go to spot and I've been to every craft brewer in Northern Lancaster and Southern Berks Counties. The staff is exceptional in helping people select beers. The food compliments the beer offerings. The rotating variety of egg rolls is unique. If you remember the former brewery, which shall remain nameless, forget it. Rural City will blow it away. Drop in and say hello to Ben and James (the owners). This might easily become your go to spot.

Visited this place from out of town and saw a HUGE beer garden on the website. Sadly when we went…read morethere was no beer garden but that place was still pretty cool. You can sit wherever you'd like and there are games and stuff to use while you're there. For a beer company, the selection was fairly small. They did have canned cocktails that were local though! Food menu was pretty big. The burger and tacos were delicious, the mozzarella sticks only had 3 sticks which seemed too small to be app. Overall nice place with friendly staff.

First- Walking in and getting stares was awkward. It appeared that a majority of the patrons…read moresitting at the bar are "usuals" and it's a very "everybody knows your name" type of place. No one greeted us- which is ok but we were a little confused about seating since there was indoor and outdoor. We figured out that we were to find our own table and order at the bar. Which, again, was fine, except there was a sign to view the menu using a QR code- also fine, but we couldn't find the QR code- anywhere. We eventually found paper menus. I ordered the soup of the day which was tomato based with chicken and mozzarella. It was the best part of the meal. I got the pulled pork sliders on pretzel buns. It was so dry. I needed to ask for mustard. That helped some but overall the taste was average at best. The biggest, and oddest, disappointment was the cucumber and watermelon seltzer. There was a very distinct taste that I couldn't put my finger on until I forced myself to take three sips. Finally I pegged the taste as pepto bismol - which is definitely not cucumber or watermelon. It certainly had to have been a bad batch. A very strange and very unsatisfying experience. Maybe it was just a fluke. I like to give places second chances because you never know what the story is and it could have been an off night. But, this place won't make it back on my list. One positive is that they had a few option of non-alcoholic beer.
