If you want your party to be flawless I highly highly recommend you hire a planner. Someone that will be on top of everything so nothing gets overlooked. During my ceremony the microphone did not work. Maribel informed me she had asked the groom and officiant to check that the mic was working. I don't believe these duties should be assigned to them specially the groom as he is busy with so many other things the day of the wedding. During the reception we ran out of food. We are still trying to figure out how this happened as additional plates were ordered. I did tell Maribel I would've appreciated if someone notified me so I could've apologized to the guests that didn't receive plates. During the dance I had brought in special lights to be passed out. I did tell a couple of workers at least twice that those lights needed to be passed out during the dance. And they were not. Other nuances happened that I tried to communicate and Maribel's response was that as a bride I should've known and that it was poor planning from my behave. Which maybe it was but also this was my first time getting married so there is no way I could've know and I trusted them since they claim to have events every weekend. And also as a client that is not what I expect to hear. Overall, I think the team tries their best but i do feel communication could've been better. Also, please save yourself the trouble and hire a planner to overlook everything because things will be missed. I forgot to mention I came in Thursday to set up the venue, I offered to put the place cards in their place for dinner and I was told by the young girl with the glasses that the table clothes were not ready and that she could do that. We came back the next day (Friday) and half of our place cards were missing. I am not saying they lost them but I did offer to put them up myself when none of them were missing. I trusted them since they said they handle 30-40 booking at a time. Maribel said a couple of things were missing and but never reached out to me to clarify.

Mind blowing place to experience!…read more Ok, so right off the base, you are hit with this extravagant looking manor with transcendent looking lights and tall gated entrances and tall stands with fire in them. Beautifully decorated hostess stand area with flower bouquets and all kinds of floral accents. Getting to this entrance was a bit of a hassle with either finding parking that's not too far on the streets or waiting in a bit of a line for valet. At least valet is included with your ticket that you purchase in order to attend any of their events. This night also had one complimentary glass of wine, red or white. I went on their Italian night themed events, which included an endless serving of pasta that you mix and match on these cards they give you. Each time you finish a plate, you can get another card and pick your next combo. It does take a while to finally get your next plate though, so you may want to anticipate that. I highly recommend their alfredo or bolognese sauces! I wasn't a fan of their pesto nor their vegetable pasta, which proved to be a veggie based pasta. We ended up being on the 2nd floor which served to be a bit of a hassle for either waiting on food or retrieving your self serve salad or dessert, which were downstairs. We made our way down for some antipasta and decided to hold off on bringing up desserts because we didn't want to crowd the table. Well, we soon found out that we should have grabbed it while the taking was good... meaning, all those lovely looking desserts that we saw at the beginning were absolutely GONE. We got lucky that they happen to bring out these other random finger desserts like a blondie or lemon tart or small cuts of cheesecake. So that was a bit of a bummer. I did feel coming up to our wedding date quickly approaching conversations were getting pressed last minute and questions were not getting responses until days after the fact. Which if you ever planned a big party all the small things end up adding up towards the end. So I do feel simple communication practice would of greatly been appreciated. In previous experience in other ballrooms, I did love how the staff served the guests with the drinks and food, during the dinner hour. It kept the ballroom looking elegant. versus all the guest getting up to line up for their dinner plate or having them to gather their own plates for clean-up. The staff was great, you can tell they were there to be attentive to everyone's needs and requests. When it came down to my husband and I to cut the cake. I made sure him and I cut the bottom of our cake. Thinking the staff knew to save the top of the tier of our cake for us to keep to take home. All she said was, "I forgot to cancel you," without even an apology. She shut the doors on our face.
