Can't wait for the new pantry to be done! Looking good! New location, new storage, more clients will be served.

If you are looking for beautiful floral arrangements or bouquets & or…read more Boutonnières look no further! Seriously, Tracey is amazing. One of my daughters friends ordered flowers from a local floral shop & when she got the bouquet home she noticed the flowers were in horrible condition and some of the flowers looked brown & wilted. They closed early & weren't about to help. I took them to Stracks on calumet for her, while she was getting her hair done. Even though Tracey had a full day due to Valparaiso's homecoming, she asked us to come back in a half an hour and promised to fix them. She did more than that! They looked absolutely beautiful she refreshed them, rearrange them and even added some gold accents! The bouquet was truly beautiful! And she honestly saved the day!

FOLKS, WE'RE GETTING RIPPED OFF BY THE NEW OWNERS. They came in and made all of these supposedly…read more"great" changes. They have price tags that say "You save" X amOunt of dollars. The "regular" prices on MANY of the itmes are NOT the "regular" price. They're jacked up, to make it look like you're getting a deal. They want us to think we're getting a deal. It's a total joke. They're slowly and very methodically raising prices, hoping we won't notice. I've HAD it with their BS. My wife went there today, May 8th and lettuce, NOT organic lettuce, but REGULAR lettuce was almost $4.00 a head. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? $4 A HEAD!! It seems as though all of their prices are going up. Yes, they run sales but many of the sales aren't really "sales." They're playing a psychological game with all of us, all the while raping us with higher prices. They want you to think their new "tages" mean we're saving money. WHAT A JOKE. We've had it with them. Aldi here we come. SMH.

This is your average run-of-the-mill grocery store, with one caveat, they have a few magnificent…read moresales. I'd say at least once a month they have a deal so remarkable that I scamper over here to load up on that item. Last week they had Old Orchard apple juice, fairly big jug for 98¢. I came in just for that. Bought a dozen. I get a little sheepish like I'm taking advantage, but the clerks are glad to see you and glad you're getting a great deal. No need to worry if you aren't picking up your whole week's worth of groceries, they couldn't be nicer. They also always have a nice selection of seasonal items wether that's pumpkins and mums in the fall or Christmas wreaths and poinsettias after Thanksgiving. Especially if you have errands in Calumet Ave, be sure to stop by!

I recently purchased meat from Town & Country Market in Valparaiso that appeared to be spoiled, and…read morehonestly, it was disgusting. This is not just a small quality issue. When you buy meat from a grocery store, you should not have to question whether it is safe to feed your family. What makes it even more concerning is that I have seen other public reviews mentioning similar issues with bad meat. On top of that, Porter County inspection records from August 2025 show sanitation and pest related concerns in chicken and fish areas, including flies, food debris, blocked hand sink access, and organic growth on cooler or freezer surfaces. The condition of the store itself also raises concerns. In my experience, the entire store has a heavy, musty smell that reminds me of mold, and it makes the spoiled meat issue feel even more alarming. A grocery store should smell clean and fresh, not damp, stale, dated, or questionable. The whole store feels outdated and neglected. At this point, corporate should seriously consider either completely rebranding and remodeling the location into something customers can trust, like a Hy Vee style store, or just shut it down altogether. They already have another location right up the street, and this one gives the impression that it has been left behind. I am not claiming to know the full cause, but as a customer, this raises a serious food safety concern. Town & Country Market should review its meat handling, rotation, storage temperatures, sanitation, and quality control procedures immediately to make sure customers are not being sold unsafe food.
