Stayed here for one night using a free night certificate. The hotel was pretty full but they were still able to upgrade me to an executive room. While this was nice- the room itself seemed fairly standard in size. Unfortunately the executive lounge was closed, which was not communicated at booking or prior to arrival. Instead the evening reception was hosted in the breakfast area. Breakfast was good with many options of cold meats/cheese, bread and pastries, a few hot dishes. Also had a make your own pancake which I did not get to try. The chocolate and churros as a nice local touch. read more

Located in the Eixample district (like a downtown - about 30 mins from airport) of Barcelona, this Hilton is what you'd expect from a downtown Hilton. Location is good with restaurants and shopping in waking distance, plenty of public transportation close by, nice modern lobby with bar and restaurant on premise, good size rooms and helpful front desk staff. While not in the heart of the super touristy area, this location provides a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. With the public bus pass, you can get to all the tourist spots relatively easy, quick, and inexpensive. Highly recommend if you are in Barcelona and a Hilton loyalist. read more

We have been here before. Multiple stays were beyond 10 nights each. We were given a room on the executive floor. The restaurant Mosaic is closed so breakfast is in the small area as shown. The executive floor lounge is on the 4th floor and it is closed as well. Based on previous visits, variety cold drinks and hot drink machine available. No longer the case, only hot drinks. See pictures. Complimentary Snack served is horrible. But, their hamburgers and calamari were awesome and delicious. Free Happy Hour is strictly 6pm to 8pm, no sooner than 6pm or later than 8pm even if it's a minute after or before. You will be denied service by the bar tender. Gym is closed so you can get a pass to the LA Fitness but it is a 10 minute walk, definitely not convenient. As a Diamond member, the first morning for breakfast we were not on their breakfast list nor were given our free water. Day 5 of our stay, again no water left. Both situations I had to explain we are Diamond members and are on a long stay. This occurred 3 times. The hotel is very convenient to the Barcelona Sants train station and the El Cortez shopping center One star for front desk, Rocia and 1 star for breakfast staff Ramon, Diana and Carmen. read more

I'm waffling between 3 and 4 stars. This hotel is in a nice location, right on Avinguda Diagonal near lots of shops and restaurants. The front desk staff were helpful and nice, and spoke English which I appreciated. The room itself was nice and spacious enough, and I had a view of the ocean which was a bonus! The bathroom also had nice, updated finishes (and a bidet, which I could take or leave but yes I know that's a European thing). The two big downsides were the temperature and the noise. At random times, typically during the night, I would hear very loud bangs (like a door slamming, loud enough to shake the walls). I never figured out what it was, but it was incredibly disruptive, and happened several times over several days. The temperature was also an issue-the thermostat was a little hard to figure out, but once I did I was able to make it comfortably cool the first night. However, even though I set everything the same the second night, the room would not get cool (and was uncomfortably warm). I did breakfast one morning, which was a buffet in the restaurant on the first floor. Even though I had been told breakfast was included, when I got there I was told I'd have to pay (it was about 18 Euro, if I recall correctly). It is a nice buffet, so I was okay paying, though a little confused on why. The bar on the first floor was also nice, and I highly recommended the patatas bravas! The outdoor bar area also looked nice, but I never got a change to check it out. The price was reasonable, and again, it's a nice central location. Sleeping was a little challenging given the two issues I noted above, but if those were resolved I would likely stay again given the chance! read more

This Hilton has plenty of pros and a few cons. Pros: - You can exchange currency at the front desk, which has favorable rates than elsewhere. - It's very easy to hail a taxi because they conveniently line up outside in the morning. - The executive lounge offers a full hot breakfast buffet and a 24/7 variety of beverages including mineral water, teas, and soft drinks. - The in-room coffee machine offers a selection of premium Nespresso pods - There is a concierge service exclusively for the executive floor guests, which helps you book show tickets for face value. We booked a same-day evening flamenco show that was sold out. - Location isn't in the center of Barcelona, but provides serenity from the noise of the city while being just a 10 mins drive away Cons: - The Wi-Fi Internet for Diamond members is limited to only three connections throughout the entire stay. So if you're traveling with a partner, be selective about which devices you connect because you can't change your mind afterwards. The connection is also very spotty and will sporadically drop. The free network is also very slow. - The bathroom has both a toilet and a wash bidet. Unless you use a bidet on a daily basis, it just takes up room in the bathroom and is an eye sore as you stare at it across from you while using the toilet. - The rooms are smaller than the guestrooms in the US, which was a bit cramped. read more

As soon as I walked in, I knew my stay here was going to be excellent. They use some sort of aromatherapy oil at the lobby and the nice smell makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Front desk staff, executive lounge staff, and restaurant staff, all excellent service. They all spoke good English. I had a few minor issues but they took care of them immediately. Even after I checked out, my point wasn't posted properly and when I contacted them, response was immediate. Breakfast wasn't the tastiest food, some I had in Asia went above and beyond. Much better than the US. They have the friendliest staff there and it was really nice. It was about less than five minutes walk to the Maria Cristina metro station L3. We purchased 48 hours metro cards and went everywhere with that card. Plenty of restaurants within a walking distance. It's not located at the historical area but short metro ride away and worked just fine for our vacation. read more

The moment we walked in I got the vibe that we were not welcome guest and that we work for them. I say this based upon attitude. Later when I asked for a converter to charge my phone the gentleman told me to walk to a store to buy one however I could use the usb slot in the clock if it was working but told probably doesn't... he was right that it was broken. Building seems old and uninviting. We attended the happy hour and asked for a drink that the bartender did not know how to make so we settled for something basic. Be aware the lounge is also closed here and there is no restaurant onsite during the time we went. I gave 2 star because the gentleman on night shift seemed nice and said hi and asked how my stay was. Still would not go back! read more

The housekeeper stole multiple items from our room. Since theft under $400 dollars is a misdemeanor in Spain, there was no reason according to the hotel to do anything. We spoke to the housekeeper and she was wearing Dolce Gabbana glasses with large pearl earrings. If you are an American tourist, I highly suggest reconsidering your stay here. The hotel did nothing but offer a free meal. We will not be returning to the hotel. read more

I really enjoy this hotel. The location is walking distance to many restaurants and shopping areas. The rooms are cozy with comfortable beds and good heating/cooling. Everything is clean and well kept here. Rooms also darken nicely for day sleepers like me. The staff here are cheerful and accommodating. I stayed here in the last four days. I found this hotel to be friendly, clean, efficient and eco friendly. The location is off to all the noise and hustle from the city. Just a short distance taxi ride to the major attractions. The surrounding is quiet and safe in a very walkable community. I only wish there were more local eateries. Other than that I was very satisfied with my time here. I will return here for my future visit. read more

The Hilton Barcelona falls squarely in the realm of the nicer non-resort Hilton properties but, being part of an add-on after a cruise, my stay at the hotel was not exactly my choice. Furthermore, I wouldn't have had the gripes I do if those who booked the add-on days weren't split up between hotels. While I was at Hilton Barcelona, others were in the middle of town, which brings me to the one complaint: Hilton Barcelona's location is nothing to write home about. It's not that it's bad--there are plenty of restaurants and shopping areas nearby, the metro station is just a short walk, and getting a ride into town isn't terribly expensive--it just doesn't feel like Barcelona proper. It's not in practical walking distance to the Gaudi buildings, parks, or coastline--you know, the places you want to see when you're on a leisure trip to Barcelona. I will say, however, that the buffet breakfast is actually stellar. Between the spread of fruit, meats, self-serve espresso machines, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it, the xurros, you're sure to find something great to get you going in the morning. read more

I made a reservation using my Hilton Honor points for a long awaited vacation in Barcelona. The day before I was due to leave, I checked in online and made sure I was set. Unfortunately for me I had flight delays and after a long 20+ hour day traveling I arrived in Barcelona- late. 8 hours late to be exact. When I arrived at the hotel they had no record of my reservation. I showed them my confirmation number and they advised me that because I didn't check in the night before or call them to tell them I was running late- they CANCELED my reservation. Mind you I had paid in full for my stay and I had checked in. ((And it was impossible for me to call because I was on a flight)) They would not budge on honoring my reservation. They did have a room for me and charged me full price. They were also kind enough to charge me a NO SHOW fee of $220... Even though I showed. After talking with Hilton in Barcelona, Hilton international and Hilton in the US when I got home, I was not able to get anywhere! I ended up spending close to $600 for a hotel room for 2 nights that was supposed to be free (with points) They did refund my points though. Disappointed with my stay & the fact they did not try to make it right and waive the no-show fee. I honestly feel taken advantage of & am being penalized because the airlines can't get their acts together and show up on time. On a positive note, the breakfast was good and our room was clean. read more

Great location along Avenue Diagonal, can walk to a lot of things. Rooms have a modern artsy touch with oversized bathrooms. The lobby is on the smaller side and can get busy during cruise days. I much preferred walking on Ave Diagonal (where all the locals and families are) versus the tourist-heavy, somewhat shady Las Ramblas. Great value for Hilton points. read more

Worst Hilton I've stayed in Europe. Location was decent. El Corte Ingres is by the station and it's very convenient. Check in was okay. I had originally three nights, but I cancelled the third night. I had a separate reservation for each night that the receptionist said they had hard time finding my reservation for some reason. The room was good. Fairly big bathroom too. Their business center opens only 7:00-19:00 which was inconvenient for me. Breakfast starts at 7am which was also inconvenient and didn't fit my schedule. I managed for the first day but not the second day. I usually impressed with breakfast in Europe but I wasn't at this location. I had to wait for staff when I tried to check out at 6am. There's room for improvement. Overall, my stay was okay. Nothing great. If I come back to Barcelona, I'll probably stay at other hotels. read more

The Barcelona Hilton is one of the many hotels in the Hilton hotel chain, I became very familiar and a "Regular" at this hotel during my week in Barcelona especially in the mornings as I often came here for my breakfast, due to my hotel being simply awful in most aspects which was the AC Marriott just down the road from here. The location was good on the Avingua Diagonal, in a central posision in Barcelona and also within walking distance of the Camp Nou, being really close to two shopping centres including the L'illa Centre and also being about 500 meters away from a Starbucks. The hotel is quite nice, as you walk in it gives you a welcoming vibe, with the doorman there to get the door for you and assist you. One thing I liked was the service provided, the doorman seemed to ring through and make all checks for the gluten free breakfast offerings, and after I'd left and come back the next day he even done more research which I feel was fantastic and innovative. Breakfast was reasonable value served at the Mosaic Restaurant costing 24.50 euros. Some slight issues did arise such as the price to stay here costing a considerable much more than rivals such as the hotel I stayed at, the AC Hotel operated by Marriott and an issue with the other doorman being slightly rude and nowhere near as attentive and helpful as the other which was a shame, but I do still feel the Hilton Barcelona still deserves a solid three star rating. read more

When we travel, I like to rack up loyalty points so I search for the Hilton Family brands. This brand had 2 locations and we chose the one closest to the HOHO bus. Recently renovated, the hotel was very modern. The staff was welcoming and let us check in very early. Our room was modern, very clean, and on a high floor(my preference). Since we were honors members, the yummy breakfast was included each day. This was a full buffet(hot/cold choices), that included cava options. The espresso machine made all sorts of coffee options. There was always a nice assortment of hot foods, as well as a large continental buffet. There's a cool bar and lounge in the center of the lobby. Drinks were always crafted nicely. Service was awesome and snacks were always provided. Staff did a great job. The front desk always provided restaurant recommendations and made the reservations. The outdoor staff went out of their way to find us taxi's and give us local directions. read more

This Hilton is in a posh area of Barcelona and situated between upscale shopping centers. There are two metro stations within ten minutes of walking distance along with a bus stop right in front of the hotel which makes exploring the city that much easier. There are many restaurants near the surrounding area. The hotel has all of the amenities however the bed was uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I am glad that we did not stay here the entire trip since it was our first time visit to Barcelona. We wanted to experience more of the local culture and neighborhoods. While this hotel has all the comforts and familiarity of a Hilton, it lacks the authenticity of the local culture. I would stay here again for a night or two as its also convenient to the Airport, about a twenty minute drive. read more

The entire neighborhood of Les Corts is residential-commerical mix and is very quiet at night - dead quiet. Breakfast is buffet and if you don't have it in your rate, they will provide it for 8 Euros per day, if you sign up when you check-in - otherwise it is about 18 Euros. Staff is well versed in English speaking traveller needs and all of them are super helpful. Free Wifi is available in the lobby, so no need to panic if it is not part of your rate. read more

Nice hotel set in Barcelona's financial district. I personally don't like hotels that are situated in the middle of tourist areas and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. It was close enough to transportation to get to other parts of town. Additionally it was close to many restaurants and good shopping. The hotel itself is very nice. We were upgraded and stayed on the executive floor lounge which gave us private access to a secondary area to have breakfast and tapas. The room was a standard studio with good storage. I liked the modern look of the lobby and the room. The free breakfast on the main floor of the hotel was good but a bit chaotic at times. They have a good selection of hot and cold foods. Check-in / check out was decent. I'd like express checkout if possible. We were supposed to have this on the lounge floor, but for some reason it was not available. The elevators are a bit small and there were only 3 so during rush hour you have to wait for a few to come and go by. read more

This hotel is clean and modern. The check In was painless and the hotel staff was nice. There are a few eating locations very close to the hotel. Also, there is a mall next door to the hotel with a grocery store down stairs. Breakfast was included with my stay but it was mediocre. As far as the rooms, I felt the walls were really thin. I heard loud banging for a while when I was trying to sleep. Additionally, I had a delay leaving the hotel because a coworker was stuck outside her room. She was unable to gain entry into her room nor the staff using a key. The WiFi was terrible, it took all night to download one book! Overall it wasn't a horrible stay, but it wasn't great either. read more

First time staying/visiting Barcelona Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms here - big beds, large bathrooms. Location felt pretty convenient too, as bus & metro stations were within pretty close walking distance. Mall & supermarket were also right next door basically which worked out nicely. The hotel is rather nice, average Hilton like accommodations, nice location. I give it only 2 stars because the breakfast only opens at 7am!!!! That's way too late for early work or adventure days! Grant you that most places in Europe open late and close early, being that this hotel is from a International (US) origin, it beckons to reason that it would cater and accommodate to that life style. When the breakfast does open, the service and staff are mediocre at best! They make guests feel like they are intruding and unwelcome. The breakfast selection is also very modest and simple, nothing that's outstanding or eye opening. It barley rivals Starbucks down the street. read more

Very convenient to our stay with luxury shopping and a variety of eateries close at hand. This is the Hilton closer to the famous attractions. The other Hilton sits very close to the beach not far from the harbor and closer to the airport. Breakfast and lunch dining room serves buffet style and dinner in the bar lounge area off the lobby. Dinner options off a diverse menu pleased us greatly with both the tapas selections and formal entree's. Cab service was readily available and Hilton customer service assisted us with reservations or tickets to some all of desire locations. Would gladly stay again. Thank you Hilton staff! read more

Nice, modern property with clean (if small) rooms, good service and a solid breakfast offering. The lounge area for gold/diamond guests is large and the staff very nice. Most noteworthy of all was that they allowed us to check in at about 8:30am after a long flight. It was much appreciated. The rooms, even in the executive floor were small, and I would've appreciated a bigger upgrade but hey, it's just a bonus! Quite close-ish to a couple of metro ststions. Bathroom is good and modern and has a bidet. Would be good if there was a full bath and more space for towels. While I've never been to Barcelona before, I think for peak season in a good hotel with breakfast,the price I paid was fair. read more

I love the lobby of the Hilton Barcelona. Stayed for one night but it was very pleasant with many restaurants nearby. You don't get the bustling streets of the Gothic quarters but is also a great place to start your adventures in Barcelona, as it's a small city after all. We had a great stay here in Barcelona and bookmarked this hotel to definitely revisit if we ever come back to Barcelona! The service was exceptional from the moment of check in until check out. The front desk staff was so kind and hospitable. They helped us tremendously throughout our stay on suggestions on what sites to visit and how to get there. They gave us a really nice suite upgrade for being Hilton Diamond members. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is close to the metro L3 Line - Maria Cristina and it is an EXCELLENT location if you love to shop as it is right next to the L'illa mall and El Corte Inglés department store. There is also a public bus line that leaves from nearby and goes directly to the high end shops on Avenue Diagonal. It is also not to far from major attractions given its proximity to the metro The morning breakfast had a great variety and helpful staff and included for free for Hilton Diamond members. Also interestingly, this property allowed Hilton Diamond members to use the executive lounge for complimentary evening hors d'oeuvres and wine/beer/make-your-own cocktail. The finger foods were served from 6p-8pm and they had the drinks available from 6p-10pm. The rooms and lobby area were modern and clean and well maintained. They had Peter Roth bath products in our suite which was a treat! The price was also an AMAZING value. We got the prepaid rate which was about 20 euros cheaper per night than the standard rate and overall the price of about $100 per night paid for itself considering the breakfast and happy hour which would be extended for free to Diamond members. I am big fan of Hilton hotel parking chain and diamond member, has high bar of all Hilton properties worldwide especially out of US, however this particular Hilton barely meet my expectations. First, I love to email well in advance asking questions about the stay or making requests, emailed the hotel more than a month before my stay, received an automated response saying response will be slow, however never received any reply back even after I checked out. Then the reception area for check in and out is poorly design with limited space, it will be issues if crowded especially to maintain social distance. Executive lounge was closed due to the pandemic which is disappointed but this is understandable. Requested for free upgrade with diamonds status, rejected saying no suites or bigger room available, the hotel is quiet during my stay, hardly see people other than airline crew, weird that it's not available. Anyway the best thing about the hotel is the location, easily accessible, surrounded by shopping malls, store, restaurants, tram, bus, metro which is so convenient. Cleanliness is meeting the bar, no red flag, kudos to the team in maintaining this during hard time. I will still back though if visit the area again. read more

Moltes Gràcies! :) -Room was booked w points/points & cash -Extremely friendly/helpful staff (good English!) -Quiet/SAFE neighborhood -EZ access to various modes of transportation: cabs, bus, metro, city tour bus, tram, bike rental (we used the first four A LOT, didn't get around to the last two) -Diamond status upgraded us to a room on the executive (4th) floor (personal concierge, dining area, lounge area, business center). The dining and lounge areas offered unlimited water (sparkling!), soft drinks (FANTA!), coffee (Café con leche!), tea, beer, snacks, happy hour (could be improved). -Breakfast buffet each morning in Exec Lounge (convenience) or Mosaic restaurant downstairs (variety) -Plethora of shopping options: retail stores, malls, grocery, etc. -Piscolabis tapas restaurant next door. Closes at 1am (wkdys) or 2am (wknds). Convenient and affordable. To our surprise, we actually enjoyed the price/quality of tapas here more than a couple of overpriced/unappetizing restaurants we visited--perhaps bc of the waiter's recommendations. Cons: Gym (mediocre at best), no pool/jacuzzi/sauna/steam rm, views were lacking - our room faced east (Valdivia Park), perhaps north (Av. Diagonal) would have been more enticing. All in all, a great stay, but I'm not sure if I would stay here again--mainly bc of location. We prefer to be more centrally located (El Born, Las Ramblas, etc). However, I can definitely see how this hotel is so attractive to business clientele, as we noticed a good amount of seminar attendees, Int'l business guests, flight attendants, etc. The hotel is on the west side of town (closer to El Prat Airport), and the Mosaic breakfast buffet adds a nice touch to get you going in the AM. **Btw, the Café con leche tasted AMAZING our first day, but not as good the other days. I won this hotel on Priceline, after I decided I wanted a break from the hostel experience. I stayed four nights, and had a really nice experience (though it wasn't without a couple of burps). NOTE: Though the hotel is a "five star" hotel by European standards, it's really a four star hotel by American standards. But still very nice overall. First, the pros: - The rooms absolutely meets Hilton international standards. The air conditioning is absolutely frigid, which, as an American, I enjoyed very much. - The bed was very comfortable. - The bathroom was nice, and relatively well-designed (though the shower dripped onto the floor a bit). - The design of the room generally was modern and comfortable. - The staff were accommodating when I was mis-billed for an extra day of wifi. - The service overall was quite prompt and attentive and friendly. - Location-wise, the hotel is great. Close to a metro, a cheap taxi ride from the center, on several bus lines, etc. It's also not in the middle of the action, which I prefer. There's a very good department store a couple of doors down (Spain is cheap right now!) and a Starbucks next door. There were a few cons: - The wifi was EUR 9/day, and was of variable quality. Sometimes it was quite quick, but it wouldn't sustain a FaceTime call a couple of times. - The wifi is also annoying when it comes to billing. You have to "bookmark" this one page so you can come back to it if you leave the hotel. If you don't bookmark the page, and put your name and room number in again, you'll be double-billed. - There's no pool, which would have been nice in the hot and humid Barcelona weather. - The TV was a bit iffy, not wanting to work at times. Maybe it was because I had been in hostels for the two weeks before, but I really enjoyed the Hilton Barcelona and would go back. Note that the five star hotel option in Sants on Priceline gave me the Hilton twice (thought I just wanted to stay one night -- but after one night changed my mind :)). read more

I took a bus out to where I would take the train from. I had downloaded all of my directions in advance to make things easier. I bought a 2 day pass for the train, but in hindsight a 10 trip pass would have been cheaper and gotten me through my entire visit. My hotel for my trip in Barcelona would be the Hilton Barcelona. The directions to get there were pretty simple. A bus ride, then a train ride and then it was a short walk to the hotel. It proved to be slightly more complicated than I imagined as I walked back and forth past the hotel several times. It only had a couple of blue Hilton flags to identify it that were recessed a bit from the actual street. I felt a little silly when I finally found it. I went to the front desk to check in and I was behind probably the most annoying person in the world go get behind for checking in. I waited in line for about 20 minutes in order to check in. When I finally checked in I was offered the choice of a room on the third floor or waiting for a room on a higher floor. I just wanted to check in so I opted for the lower floor. This hotel has that numbering system where even numbers are on one side in one hallway and odd numbered rooms are on the other side. I didn't notice this when I first got off of the elevator and it lead to few more seconds of aimless wandering. It is a decent hotel but it is very pricey as well. read more

Was here twice, both for business, and found this hotel as a functional and clean hotel. It was more centrally located than the other Hilton - close to the subway and a quick stop to the convention center. I organized a party here at the bottom floor and the food / drinks were pretty decent and did not break the bank. The staff was professional and accomondating. The lobby bar had food and drinks and good for catching up on the football games after a long day... Just don't rule for the Madrid! read more
