Yummy sandwiches and amazing goat cheese ball from evening executive lounge reception and coffee/espresso available most of the day.

Located in the Eixample district (like a downtown - about 30 mins from airport) of Barcelona, this Hilton is what you'd expect from a downtown Hilton. Location is good with restaurants and shopping in waking distance, plenty of public transportation close by, nice modern lobby with bar and restaurant on premise, good size rooms and helpful front desk staff. While not in the heart of the super touristy area, this location provides a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. With the public bus pass, you can get to all the tourist spots relatively easy, quick, and inexpensive. Highly recommend if you are in Barcelona and a Hilton loyalist.

We have been here before. Multiple stays were beyond 10 nights each. We were given a room on the executive floor. The restaurant Mosaic is closed so breakfast is in the small area as shown. The executive floor lounge is on the 4th floor and it is closed as well. Based on previous visits, variety cold drinks and hot drink machine available. No longer the case, only hot drinks. See pictures. Complimentary Snack served is horrible. But, their hamburgers and calamari were awesome and delicious. Free Happy Hour is strictly 6pm to 8pm, no sooner than 6pm or later than 8pm even if it's a minute after or before. You will be denied service by the bar tender. Gym is closed so you can get a pass to the LA Fitness but it is a 10 minute walk, definitely not convenient. As a Diamond member, the first morning for breakfast we were not on their breakfast list nor were given our free water. Day 5 of our stay, again no water left. Both situations I had to explain we are Diamond members and are on a long stay. This occurred 3 times. The hotel is very convenient to the Barcelona Sants train station and the El Cortez shopping center One star for front desk, Rocia and 1 star for breakfast staff Ramon, Diana and Carmen.

This Hilton has plenty of pros and a few cons. Pros: - You can exchange currency at the front desk, which has favorable rates than elsewhere. - It's very easy to hail a taxi because they conveniently line up outside in the morning. - The executive lounge offers a full hot breakfast buffet and a 24/7 variety of beverages including mineral water, teas, and soft drinks. - The in-room coffee machine offers a selection of premium Nespresso pods - There is a concierge service exclusively for the executive floor guests, which helps you book show tickets for face value. We booked a same-day evening flamenco show that was sold out. - Location isn't in the center of Barcelona, but provides serenity from the noise of the city while being just a 10 mins drive away Cons: - The Wi-Fi Internet for Diamond members is limited to only three connections throughout the entire stay. So if you're traveling with a partner, be selective about which devices you connect because you can't change your mind afterwards. The connection is also very spotty and will sporadically drop. The free network is also very slow. - The bathroom has both a toilet and a wash bidet. Unless you use a bidet on a daily basis, it just takes up room in the bathroom and is an eye sore as you stare at it across from you while using the toilet. - The rooms are smaller than the guestrooms in the US, which was a bit cramped.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Love the location (lots of places to see by foot or easy taxi access). The staff is fantastic. We got upgraded to the Jr Suite. The place was wonderful.

As soon as I walked in, I knew my stay here was going to be excellent. They use some sort of aromatherapy oil at the lobby and the nice smell makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Front desk staff, executive lounge staff, and restaurant staff, all excellent service. They all spoke good English. I had a few minor issues but they took care of them immediately. Even after I checked out, my point wasn't posted properly and when I contacted them, response was immediate. Breakfast wasn't the tastiest food, some I had in Asia went above and beyond. Much better than the US. They have the friendliest staff there and it was really nice. It was about less than five minutes walk to the Maria Cristina metro station L3. We purchased 48 hours metro cards and went everywhere with that card. Plenty of restaurants within a walking distance. It's not located at the historical area but short metro ride away and worked just fine for our vacation.

My review is for this Hilton hotel.

I stayed here in the last four days. I found this hotel to be friendly, clean, efficient and eco friendly. The location is off to all the noise and hustle from the city. Just a short distance taxi ride to the major attractions. The surrounding is quiet and safe in a very walkable community. I only wish there were more local eateries. Other than that I was very satisfied with my time here. I will return here for my future visit.

Greeted with smiles from the staff! Checked in immediately and put out dtuff in...and went exploring the city! Very nice, clean room. Nice breakfast. Nice reception each evening!

The Hilton Barcelona falls squarely in the realm of the nicer non-resort Hilton properties but, being part of an add-on after a cruise, my stay at the hotel was not exactly my choice. Furthermore, I wouldn't have had the gripes I do if those who booked the add-on days weren't split up between hotels. While I was at Hilton Barcelona, others were in the middle of town, which brings me to the one complaint: Hilton Barcelona's location is nothing to write home about. It's not that it's bad--there are plenty of restaurants and shopping areas nearby, the metro station is just a short walk, and getting a ride into town isn't terribly expensive--it just doesn't feel like Barcelona proper. It's not in practical walking distance to the Gaudi buildings, parks, or coastline--you know, the places you want to see when you're on a leisure trip to Barcelona. I will say, however, that the buffet breakfast is actually stellar. Between the spread of fruit, meats, self-serve espresso machines, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it, the xurros, you're sure to find something great to get you going in the morning.

Worst Hilton I've stayed in Europe. Location was decent. El Corte Ingres is by the station and it's very convenient. Check in was okay. I had originally three nights, but I cancelled the third night. I had a separate reservation for each night that the receptionist said they had hard time finding my reservation for some reason. The room was good. Fairly big bathroom too. Their business center opens only 7:00-19:00 which was inconvenient for me. Breakfast starts at 7am which was also inconvenient and didn't fit my schedule. I managed for the first day but not the second day. I usually impressed with breakfast in Europe but I wasn't at this location. I had to wait for staff when I tried to check out at 6am. There's room for improvement. Overall, my stay was okay. Nothing great. If I come back to Barcelona, I'll probably stay at other hotels.

Room was clean, big with a beautiful bathroom. The nerd in me was impressed by the computer panel which controls the elevator system. There are 4 elevators for use. On each floor outside the elevators is a touch screen computer panel in which you select where you need to go - floor number or restaurant name. The computer figures out the elevator which can take you to your destination fastest and displays the number on the screen. After the display is shown the elevator arrives within seconds. The floor number is pre-selected when you step in. You cannot select the floor from inside the elevator. This was a very efficient system and I wish all hotels adopt it. They also serve delicious breakfast and the spread is huge. Every single thing that I tried on the breakfast was of excellent quality. The servers even come to your table and ask you if they can bring you coffee or juice. The empty plates are immediately removed and the tables cleaned. L1 metro line starts from the 'Hospital de Bellvitge' stop which is opposite to Hotel Hesperia. That gives you the advantage of pick your seat on the metro journey. If you are taking the metro to/from the airport, you'll have to change from L1 to L9 at Torrassa station. Airport is about 10 minutes away by taxi, so you might not want to go the metro route. By metro, hotel is about 30 minutes to beach or La Rambla street and 1 hour to Parc Guell. So it's definitely not in the center where you can walk to the happening places.

The room was spacious, with the biggest bathroom/closet area I've ever seen. The elevator control pad asks your destination and lets you know which car to use. TLDR: Come for the rooftop views of Barcelona, not so much for the stay…read more While Barceló Raval's rooftop offers one of the best panoramic views of Barcelona, the hotel itself is giving knockoff of the W. They try to give off that sexy, mysterious vibe, but as soon as you step into the room, the green ceiling, cheap fixtures and damask wallpaper give it away. The hotel is reasonably "affordable" for its location (near the Gothic Quarter and La Barceloneta), but definitely in a sketchy area. I highly advise walking outside the hotel at night, as you'll find the rough crowds your parents warned you about. The nearest metro station is about a 10-minute walk, and to get there, you have to cut through some of the sketchiest alleys. I booked through Expedia and was upgraded to a room with a view, a bottle of mini wine & an extra bottle of water. My amenities weren't so great from the moment I opened the door. Since my room was pretty high up, the room was stifling & those views were blocked by a stainless steel mesh. FYI: your room requires a key card at all times if you're trying to use electricity, which includes air conditioning. The shower initially felt luxurious--spacious with a giant waterfall head and solid water pressure--followed by lush bath towels, but that impression faded once I noticed the pockets of mold and grime in the corners. Sleeping was also a challenge since walls are thin and anytime the guests next to me entered their room, it sounded like someone was entering mine, which kept me paranoid and on high alert. Rooftop: the rooftop not only offers panoramic views of Barcelona, but also has a bar and pool, though hard to even suggest the pool is an amenity since it's more so for aesthetic than functionality. On the roof, it's not an open floor plan, so you'll have to walk around the building to get a full 360 view. For those who are height deficient such as myself: prepare for obstructed views because of the high railings (great for safety, but not so much for those under 5'3).

They did leave us some goodies as they knew we were celebrating our honeymoon! We booked a king bed club level suite, which came with complimentary breakfast, club access, and tapas time (from 5-7pm daily). The tapas were actually pretty good and my favorite of the three options. The club is pretty weak, just snacks and a couple of small bites and a limited option of drinks. Didn't seem like there was a consistent staff member there, but one would pop up occasionally to clear the dirty trays. The not-so-great: rooms aren't very quiet. You can hear sounds and noises from the hallway and outdoors, even on higher floors. It's primarily from other guests, especially annoying when it's later at night. The gym is okay, but some equipment need some up keeping - like the accessories are pretty much all missing from one of the technogym machines. The treadmills also don't have any internet, so you can't log into your technogym account. The elevators are the worst. You have to pre-select your destination and then wait for whichever one you are prompted to go to. It doesn't take into account how big each group is, so sometimes it's a very long wait or gets quite cramped. Other guests also aren't very mindful with their bags, so you can get whacked by their personal belongings... like it occurred with yours truly. We didn't even bother with the gym or spa. It's a tiny pool and pretty busy when we peeked. There's also a lot of children at this hotel, so if you're looking for a relaxing getaway, you should probably look into a boutique hotel. Hotel is a smidge far from the tourist attractions, but it's close to a metro stop and a mall. It's also closer to the airport, which is good if that's what you're looking for!

The sink and counter were bigger than we're used to and great to spread out on. The main bedroom was awesome - it had a king size bed, lots of outlets, a solid TV, a Nespresso machine and a lovely mini bar. The second room had a king sized hideaway bed and a small seating area. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and overall it was incredibly comfortable. The workout facility downstairs is small, with a treadmill, bike and small weight rack. It's not bad for a quick run. As was said earlier, the location is great. There's a nice park next door and a lovely square with about a dozen restaurants about 2 blocks behind the hotels. It made for a perfect spot to grab dinner a couple nights in a row. We also jumped on a tourist trap double decker bus that stopped right outside the hotel at the train station. It made it really easy to get around. There were also a ton of small bakeries and restaurants within walking distance. It made grabbing breakfast and lunch super easy. We really enjoyed this hotel. The Not as Good We reserved both a superior and classic room but couldn't tell the difference for an additional 130 euros. The front desk said the superior had "more light."
