We arrived in Bettendorf late into the evening. We were so tired and relieved to reach the Hilton Garden Inn. We were able to choose which floor we wanted to stay on, that was nice. We chose 1st floor for ease of carrying luggage. We stayed in room 104, which is right across the hall from the pool and exercise room! The trolley carts were smaller than most, so for our family of 4 it was a trick getting our luggage on it. The room is spacious and clean. There is a microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge. There was plenty of space to set our suitcases. There is a thermostat for temperature control, I always appreciate that. Unfortunately, no bathroom fan for ventilation. After 4 showers the room gets pretty stuffy. I really liked that the towel bar was in the shower. We didn't need to reach across the bathroom for our towels and it was big enough to put our toiletries on it. However, I did need to call the front desk for an extra towel, there were only 3. They promptly delivered and brought 2 towels, that was nice. The bed are fairly comfortable with ample pillows. read more

Not a bad hotel but some of the staff are extremely rude and ignorant. Stayed here for a soccer tournament with 40 other families. Threatened by staff multiple times that they would kick the entire group out and we were given curfews of 830pm during Labor Day weekend. If your kids were outside of the room they must be with an adult or you would be asked to leave. Families with reservations that were paid for arrived with no room as they checked in late in the night and staff turned them away even though they had a reservation and the hotel had charged them already. Come here for peace and relaxation only. Do not bring young kids and soccer/sports teams unless you want to be threatened multiple times with being kicked out for laughter and playing. Would not stay here again! Also, rooms smelled like cigs, blood on the floor and 0 cleaning of rooms prior to check in. Grandparents welcome, families with kids need not apply. read more

We were road weary when we spotted the Hilton Garden Inn & decided to stay the night. Reception staff were polite, the room was reasonable priced, comfortable, & clean. Room offered a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee station, & bottled water ($2 if not a Hilton Honers Member). There is a restaurant in the hotel that offers breakfast & dinner reasonably priced. The only negative experience was the WiFi connection didn't work properly & I thought charging for a bottle of water was cheesy. read more

Nice looking hotel. Nice clean rooms. Staff is very professional. As I came in to check in, I was told the rooms were not ready. The lady said I could wait or could go get food and return or she would call me when it was ready. After I did go and grab a bite, I returned and waited in the parking lot. I then saw the lady getting in her car and leave after she told me she would call me. So I went in to check in again and the new clerk was able to check me in. Not to happy that I didn't receive a call. I did not book my room as it was for business, but I was not aware that the breakfast was not complimentary. Somehow I was not told. I was surprised when I grabbed breakfast and then the tenant brought me the bill out of nowhere. Not too happy about that. One thing that is very disturbing is that the water that comes out of the faucet in the restroom smell like sewer. It was a shock to be brushing my teeth and then smelling sewer coming from the water. Not a pleasant experience. read more

Really nice and newer (as of fall 2016). I rarely stay at Hilton Garden (typically Hampton) but it has a different feel than a Hampton (maybe more upscale)? Staff was exceptionally friendly and the facility is immaculate. Good option if you are in the area. read more

Lovely and affordable hotel in a nice, easy-to-get-to location. It's still a pretty clearly new hotel, so I'll be curious to see how time starts to effect it over time. The rooms are nice, the amenities are nice, and I enjoyed my stay. I'd stay again. THINGS TO KNOW: -If you love coffee, you're going to love this hotel. There is a Starbucks (with drive-thru) located just as close as the parking lot. There's a Jimmy John's a bit of a further walk, and there's a gas station that's almost as close as the Starbucks. -The hotel is right off of the highway. Very easy to get to. -The hotel also has a business office (with a computer) and an ATM. -No free breakfast, but they offer a breakfast at the restaurant for $11 a person in the morning. -The hotel's pool and hottub are both salt water. -Pool is open 8AM to 10PM. Fitness center is 24/7. -Hotel has do-your-own laundry washer and dryer. Didn't check the prices for it, but the room said it's available 24/7. PROS: -Lots of parking space. There seem to be spots all around the building. Most of them are really close to the building too. Not much walking to be done. -Gym is fantastic. All new equipment and everything is super functional with nice space between all of the equipment. Ellipticals, reclined bike, treadmills, weight bench, dumbbells, and weighted medicine balls. There weren't any towels or ways to clean off the machines when I was done, but they do have a water cooler. -Rooms were very clean. Absolutely no complaints about the cleanliness of the room. Everything looks very clean - sparkingly so. -All rooms feel pretty modern too. The lamps have outlets built right into them, Keurigs for coffee, and nice, flat-screen TVs. The blankets and room design looks very modern and fresh as well. -Rooms come standard with microwave, fridge, and Keurig. Bathroom also had a gorgeous, all-glass shower with a decently comfortable bathroom size too. -Pretty good pricing. Maybe it was just Halloween weekend, but less than $100 for a Friday night is impressive. CONS: -If you're sensitive to noise, make sure you request a room without a connecting room. We were able to hear the conversations of our connecting room neighbors all throughout the night. -Gym and pool door locks seemed a bit fussy. While I was working out, people kept trying to get into the gym but their room keys weren't working on the door. Mine worked, but I had to let in quite a few people. -Door keys are a bit odd. Instead of swiping or scanning, they use a near-ness activation that will unlock the door if the key is near the lock. Took a couple tries most of the time to get the door to open. I can't imagine how much of a headaches these door locks are going to turn into as the hotel gets older. read more

This was awful. We paid nearly $500 for a 2 night stay in a "deluxe" room which was anything else. Where to start? Dirty carpet and sofa. Bathroom was terrible layout, one basin, when shaving you had your but hanging over toilet. Ugh. Bathroom door hit closet door when open. Terrible air conditioning which blasted out over the bed and left other spaces hot. Too cold or too hot in same room. Microwave on last leg as was fridge. We requested a quiet room on a high floor, and got a room over the patio on the second floor, wedding party out there all night No sleep that night. read more

Book a disabled room a month ahead of time and asked if it was close to elevator and was told no. It's not close to the elevator. But when I get here I find out it's next door to the exercise room. So all the noise the exercise machines make is like a knocking on my wall. There are 3 other disabled rooms across the hall from my room that were available when I booked this reservation that they could have booked me in. Whose would think to ask if it next door to the exercise room? I will next time! But since I am a gold member you would think they would have extended the courtesy. Got to the hotel after a day of traveling and baseball games. Finally got rested around 9pm and the fire alarm went off. The next night there were kids screaming and running around the hotel. After many complaints it was still happening at 11pm! The pool closes at 10pm every night, which was disappointing! Internet was awful! Very disappointing weekend! read more

My husband and I travel a couple times every month across the county. This hotel was exceptional. The check-in experience was easy, and the front desk staff were beyond courteous. Any time we had a question they were so helpful! The cleanliness of the hotel made me think it was recently built. It turns out it was built 4 years ago. The beds were so comfortable and the room was also spotless. We had the breakfast buffet the day we checked out. I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was for the amazing food! Freshest fruit, most delicious eggs and all other choices. Again the wait staff were extremely accommodating and Alisha, the hostess went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best. We are coming back in September for work and we will definitely book here again. read more

New property, one month old. Convenient freeway exit, not charming but fine for sleeping. Across from a big box mall and large supermarket. Does not appear to be much dining options immediately close by but certainly lots within a mile. Room is commodious and attractive. Comfy beds, microwave, mini-fridge, Keurig coffee maker. Breakfast at 6 off the lobby. Very helpful and nice staff. Attractive, large lobby and eating area. Free WiFi is slow. And if I were the owner I'd be complaining to the construction company. The bathroom showed some finishing touches that would annoy me if it were my house (scratches on bath exterior, not the best joints in certain places, etc.). Nothing that spoiled my stay, so I am fine with it. I had no problem with hearing my neighbors. I'll be back next month . I'd attach a picture but the wifi is too slow. read more

This place has opportunities. Our initial room had sugar ants, in which the front desk provided two complimentary breakfasts for the inconvenience of having to switch rooms. Our new room had an iron but no ironing board, making it rather difficult to press my husband's work shirt. I mean, who wants to steam iron on a hotel bed??? Then, at 11:45pm, the fire alarm goes off. We think, "Fine, it happens." No one tells us the reason of the alarm or if we can reenter after the ringing stops. We thought it was pretty unprofessional. The final straw was going down to the pool with our kids the next morning, so my husband could take a conference call from the room, only to discover that it was closed because the person responsible for that area was, "running late." We were scheduled to stay for three nights. We will he checking out this morning. read more

This property is conveniently located and allows for easy access to/from the interstate. There are a number of restaurants nearby and a few shops, a grocery store, and two pharmacies across the street. Every staff member that we came in contact with was super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The only issue was that only one of the multiple settings on the shower worked properly. read more

We are Hilton Honors members and used points for a one night stay. After checking my credit card statement I was also charged full price for the room as well as points. I called the hotel and the were no help. Telling me to call Hilton. They didn't email a receipt either. I will not stay at this hotel in the future as they were did not value me but others who were staying there for some event. Watch you bill and make sure to get a printed bill if you do stay here. Pros: Newer hotel. 2 years old? Nice staff. Bar/restaurant onsite Good tasting tap water (you can make coffee with the hotel tap water. Not so in Florida and other states. Free parking Great location if you need to get around the quad cities. Less than 4 miles from the airport. King suite has two bathrooms and the bedroom was separate from the LR. Refrigerator AND mini Keurig (score!) Real, mini creamers Cons: Only two creamers - they're mini. Throw me a bone and leave two more. Do the math. If you're fear is people take them, leave 8 creamers and enough coffee for a couple. I'm a single, I'll have two cups of caffeinated coffee in the morning. I like two creamers per cup. Means I need 4 creamers to get my morning off to a good start. So many times I've gone to make coffee and there's only decaf. To be clear, this didn't happen at this hotel. I had exactly 2 caffeinated coffees, thank goodness my non other half wasn't with me or we'd have had to call the front desk, take up their time and other staff's time to deliver us two more coffees and two more creamers. PAPER THIN walls. Not an exaggeration. This broke my heart. I'm a Hilton gal, loyal as they come (well, it takes for friggin' ever to earn enough points to ever do something with them, but that's a subject for Reddit.) Anyway, love my Hiltons. I travel a lot, weekly, for work so I like a Hilton with a restaurant. And a newer one makes my day. This Hilton was clean and attractive and newer. Sleep is next on my list. Comfy bed. Quiet room. No freeway noise and absolutely, do I never ever want to hear my neighbor, belch, talk on the phone, cough, etc., but wait, there's more! Let's just say a bathroom was involved. This hotel had a comfy bed, great pillows (the best of any Hilton I've stayed in). And that's it. Freeway noise is all night long on the entire freeway side of the hotel. Very loud. Heating/cooling system like a motel's. So loud and on and off all night unless you turned it off. So I did. Which meant I could hear everything. See above. Maybe if your neighbor is quit or the room is vacant and you're on the side of the hotel away from the freeway, you'd love this place. Cross your fingers that you get lucky. Book direct. Use a travel site to book any hotel and its a crap shoot. read more

Room was clean and bed was comfortable, but it was not what I expected. Hotel staff was OK. I asked a few questions about place around and she was like "How would I know?" She did not exactly say that but that was the massage I got from her expressions. Fan in the bathroom was broken. It was not convenient. Two toilet paper holders had really small amount of toilet paper left. No extra in the room, so I had to go to front desk. I made a reservation a month in ahead and I got a room in second floor with parking lot as a view. Location is convenient, but that was all. We may come back to the area, but I will look into another hotel. read more

The hotel is ok. But the evening bar/restaurant gets a zero Very high priced drinks and the manager uses a shot glass. I stayed at this hotel for months. Visited the restaurant for breakfast and dinner at least 2-3 times a week for dinner. Tipped well actually over tipped but did not get treated like they wanted to keep me. I moved to Homewood Suites. The cost is less per night and they give free breakfast and dinner. With wine and beer. Full kitchen. read more

I visit the quad cities frequently and have stayed at quite a few of the area hotels and I just found my new spot to stay. This Hilton looks relatively new, is clean, conveniently located, and rooms include microwaves, refrigerators and Kuerig single-cup brewers. Everything I could ever need. The location is good, and there is a Starbucks right outside the front door for those that need their morning fix like me. At check-in, the clerk was pleasant and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. This will definitely be my go-to spot in the quad cities. read more
