New conference center is awesome- modern upgrades all around. The hotel is beautiful...but let's talk parking! Parking is like a mouse in a maze looking for the cheese. The cheese being a parking place. Terrible design. My first time at this facility- it was not hard to notice the full lot, cars double parked along curbs and behind other cars, curb jumpers and others parked across the street, in the neighboring hotel lot. My only complaint is that I was not able to fully enjoy this hotel. Upon entering, I really thought this place was beautiful. My room was very nice however just a little small. I was barely in the room 10 hrs but I really have to say this is a very nice hotel. I did not try breakfast but from the looks of it, it was well worth it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Bathroom was a shower stall only which was just fine for me. I was only staying one night for business and wish I had a little longer to stay. read more

The bathroom had hair in it. There were trash under bed. Bed felt itchy and smelt like a bald man's head. We asked for a toothbrush we got one. We then used the toothbrush and it felt like a scrub brush you would probably use for dishes. It was painful and my gums blead and it doesn't look pretty. The hotel is pretty nice. I will say, I wasn't the most impressed by the cleaning. I feel like there was still hair or something left over in the bath room towels and shower from previous stays. Normally, I'm a big fan of Hilton's cleaning but this one could have been better. Also, when you turn on the air conditioning to cool the room down a little, the sound was pretty annoying. These might seem like minor issues but it just didn't sit right all in all. read more

Our room was not clean, toilet full of poop non working. No other rooms! We had to drive home which was over an hour at 12:00pm.

This hotel is the best hotel to stay in the area! The staff is amazing and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate some special requests we had. The rooms were clean and sanitized. The hotel is the most upscale in cedar falls. The beds are very comfortable. Each room has a kuerig in it. The swimming pool is salt water and has a huge hot tub. The decor is modern and clean. The hotel has a bar in lobby with great bartenders that have been here for many years. The only down size is the food is pricey and served in the lobby area. This is located off the highway 20, near the campus of University of Northern Iowa. You have choices of two other hotels that share a common road but easy to see and navigate the correct road to find the main entrance. The facility is clean, fairly new even though I believe it's is 3 years old. The front desk staff was fast and efficient. The room was very clean, and the business center was functional and well stocked. Their fitness center was well designed and the treadmill tv screens worked, a common complaint I usually have at hotel fitness centers. I gave them 4 of 5 stars due to no staff member helped during the breakfast transition. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to give a menu or direct me to the buffet line. I finally flagged down a server who thought I was resting at a table and didn't want to be disturbed. I wasn't that tired but overall my experience was a positive one at this Hilton. read more

Great hotel in the Waterloo area! We are in town for an interview and the hotel couldn't be nicer. Upon arrival there are welcome cookies and flavored water. The staff at check in was quite welcoming and gave us some great tips on where to eat in the area and also let us know that the hotel restaurant is open if we didn't want to venture out. The outside area has a great patio with a bonfire where you can sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine. The rooms themselves were quite spacious with two rooms. One is a sitting area with a flatscreen tv and the other is a bedroom with a flat screen tv! Beds are super comfy; and overall a peaceful environment. I would love to stay here again. read more

I stayed at the Hilton for a wedding, and during the event Martha and Weston were unbelievably helpful. They were consistently going out of their way to help myself and guests. Not only did they provide exceptional service, they were kind and quick in their service. I could not think of a better duo to work my own wedding. The Hilton clearly hires the best of the best and I could not be more impressed. 5 stars all the way around and I will not hold back on referring this group to anyone I know. read more

I agree with other reviews that the hotel is kept neat and tidy. My favorite feature was the patio connected to the pool. After swimming, my friends and I sat outside around the gas fire pit listening to the sounds of Iowa in the warm night air- until the quiet was broken by the excitement of a helicopter landing in the open field beside the parking lot! Copter pilots need a room, too! There are great amenities. My high rating is a result of the excellent staff. Every waiter, front desk or cleaning staff person we talked to was above and beyond helpful and courteous. My family was very happy with our stay! read more

Stayed here several times. The staff is very helpful, rooms clean, and no sounds coming through walls. Breakfast layout is adequate with very capable hard working servers. Out in the country location where city hustle and bustle can be forgotten. Gas station less than 1/2 mile away. WiFi and gps had no issues. Inside pool great for kids. Can be fully booked at times because it is one of newer hotels in area and local events nearby can fill it up. Hotel was clean and modern - mini fridge, microwave and kurig in room. Spent a few nights here on a work trip and unfortunately did not get to enjoy all the amenities offered. I wish I would have been able to enjoy breakfast, it smelled great! I only interacted with the front desk staff who promptly checked me in and out. I've stayed at better, but for the area this hotel is by far the best option. Insulation is poor - I could hear my neighbors banging around and even someone snoring. read more

Since I'm still young, I find 99% of hotels amazing and magical because it's a vacation. I love a change of scenery, and I absolutely adore staying nights at new places. So when I say this is not the best place I've stayed in, that, my friend, is not a compliment. Walking into this hotel, it appears to be very nice, welcoming, modern and fancy. The entrance has a nice flow and a comfortable feeling overall. However, the actual experience (and the actual room), in my opinion, was far from it. We registered for a room with a family of four, and we requested a room in a quiet area of the hotel. Our room, of course, was seriously right by the elevators, and we heard all the traffic, grumpy parents and whining children as they walked past, next to, and around our room. The walls are very poorly insulated, and you can hear your neighbors' conversations from the hallway. The doors slam shut very loudly. The beds are small with one small blanket each, and even though there are two beds, there is only enough room for one person to fit comfortably in each one. This room seems as though it was designed for two people that are staying together, aren't a couple and aren't comfortable sleeping in the same bed, because there is definitely not enough room for two people each. We had three bath towels, which was a problem since all of us take showers. The toilet is terrifying. You barely have to touch the handle and it flushes with the greatest amount of force and torque that is physically possible for a toilet to possess. It is loud. Very, very loud. Here's the problem that actually caused me to make a Yelp account and actually write this review: the food issue. Apparently, we were supposed to be informed that the food here is not free, which we were not. The breakfast buffet is extremely overpriced and disgusting. Their waffles are sour. Sour. Most of the food is cold and inedible, and they even charge you for it. It is set up like a regular, continental hotel breakfast where you go in, take what you want and leave, and that's what we thought it was. Around the exact second we all decided we couldn't eat what was on our plates, one of the workers came by with a bill. She claimed that they don't charge the kids, which was nice, I guess, but pretty well deserved because we couldn't eat it anyway. My family was still charged $24 because the two adults had a scoop of eggs and two sausages on their plate. Which they couldn't eat either. Because everything was gross. We tried informing the waitress that we couldn't eat the food, but she walked away in the middle of our sentence, telling us not to worry because she "didn't charge us for the waffle". We tried talking to the workers at the front desk, who decided not to be very helpful with the situation at hand. They stated that we were supposed to be told about the food when we checked in, which had not happened. After a good five minutes of trying to get our point across, they informed us that we actually didn't have to pay for it because it was included with our stay. There was also a small problem with the accessibility to the pool. None of the room keys can open up the door to the pool room, which they should. We could not get in to the room, and when we informed the people at the front desk they told us their keys worked, and the problem was never addressed. We had to keep the door open with a towel so others could access the room as well. There was, however, one girl at the front desk who was very pleasant, so I'm not saying they were all terrible. Just mostly. I would not recommend staying here, and I hope our family is not coming back. read more

Very nice hotel, and I love love the fire pits outside. It made for an enjoyable evening to sit around the fire and relax. Our room was quiet, I noticed another yelper who had noise issues, but I suppose we may not have been there at as busy of a time. The Hilton is amazing, but I was very unpleased with my server on 11/23. Her name was Molly and she was very rude. I sat for about 10 minutes waiting on a refill until the point I flagged her down for help. Once arriving at my table, I asked for the refill and she "sighed" like it was an inconvenience to her. Her other table was far more important than me and as well as chatting with a gentleman in the back. I do have to give Mandy from the bar a shoutout, she helped my husband when he went up for a mixed drink as she was very knowledgeable about the good mixes! Hotel customer service Missled us us to believe breckfast was free and but we not ask reward member we pay Breckfast and here people over our head and the first night was beautiful and we stay here offers something and reason in town for to my sister and my niece, nephew, my cousins,uncle,aunt and they mess up mistakes us to one and we tell book to two night and I come charged stuff and I was second time the frist time was good here and I will try give this hotel charge to town from IL and was family and ask nobody to be over our head and the maintenance guy and the head engineer made out of hotel stay a little better for us the first night the lady was overwhelmed she gave us two keys when we woke up only one of them work and then told us breakfast was in the morning but she didn't tell us it was a cost. Okay but the bed was comfy and brand new sheets also for my parents 15 anniversary but it was bad for them. And we re key she put in one night pay two and my my mom was disappointed but she was happy the first time we was here and the housekeeper doing a wonderful job. read more
