The hotel was nice, room was nice. We chose this hotel because it was one of two that had an indoor pool. We knew it was going to rain the whole time that we were there so we wanted an indoor pool. That's where this hotel failed. The pool room was rusty. There was paint coming off the ceiling. The pool had stuff in it had not been cleaned in quite some time there were no towels available. The pool itself was cold,now it didn't say that it was a heated pool so I'll give a pass on that but nobody wanted to get in it. The restaurant inside the hotel was over priced. I had a bowl of yogurt with strawberries, blue berries and granola and it was 7 bucks. The ladies at the bar were phenomenal and we loved hanging out with them! This was a very nice and quiet Hilton Garden Inn! We've stayed at a lot of hotels as well as Hilton's. This one was at the top of the list for sure! This is why we choose Hilton hotels! The ease of booking, staff super friendly, rooms are clean and well maintained, coffee and breakfast provided downstairs in the morning. Thank you Hilton for a great night stay to set us up for a long day of traveling. Can't wait to stay again! The only negative at this hotel was the lighting in the bathroom was very dark even with the two lights on both sides of the mirror. My wife said she had to go to the big mirror by the tv to put on face lotion and makeup this morning. I had a hard time shaving as well because of the poor lighting. Other than that everything else was great! Bed was comfortable, room was very clean, nice tv with streaming features, loved the decoration! read more

So we arrived late and there was a Women at the front desk that wasn't very happy I went outside the lobby and was locked out. I called the front desk and she was nowhere to be found I was looking through the locked glass doors where reception was and she wasn't there or answering her phone .There were several people there waiting to be checked in. I tried to swipe my card and VIOLA I was able to open the door. The room was nice it had two queen beds that were so comfortable, it was one of the best mattresses I've ever slept on. read more

I chose this location for the sole purpose of it being a destination charge location for me and upon arriving to the hotel although they advertise that they have 3 Tesla and 3 J1772 chargers the spots are not designated for EV vehicles only so anyone is allowed to park making this a very unfortunate circumstance as anyone can park in these spots taking away from electric vehicles being able to plug in. Thankfully I had enough charge to make it to another place to charge but had I gotten here with the lesser amount as initially anticipated I would have been a not so happy camper. Either than the non designated EV parking spaces with the EV chargers the hotel was clean and nice. Didn't really deal with staff except to comment about the parking and they said they would leave a note for management. If they fix the EV parking easy 5 star rating. read more

Hotel is located in a nice area called Bradley Lakes. There is a beautiful lake right next to the hotel also a nice two mile walking path going around the neighborhood. Now I say neighborhood but there aren't any homes around here; strictly businesses. If you plan on staying here, make sure you have a rental as there are no restaurants or entertainment within walking distance. Now the hotel does have a bar and restaurant but you can only eat that so many times. My room was clean and quiet. No issues there. The gym seems to need some love. It has three treadmills and one elliptical. The first day I went in there none of the treadmills were working and there was no water in the cooler. After advising the staff, the next day only two of the treadmills were non-operational. They do have a weight rack (up to 50lbs dumbbells) some matts, medicine balls and that's about it. Breakfast is usually good at Hilton Garden Inn's but the lady that cooks here burned my omelet, twice. I hate burned eggs. If you are looking to be near any activities this is not the place. If you are looking for a private location this is it. I would recommend you try it out. Tip: If you are a Hilton Honors member and are eligible you can choose whether to earn points for your stay of take a free breakfast. Just ask the front desk. read more

A hidden gem in Columbus. The grounds and lake are relaxing with places to sit and take it in. The hotel lobby and rooms are designed well and modern. Fitness room small but adequate. Fax copy/machine needs upgrade. The elevator is a bit bumpy but it works. Appreciate the COVID precautions: hand sani stations, wipe dispensers, pool closed, plastic ware. But the sweet icing on top is the staff especially Ms Wanda at the front desk. Please give her a raise. The in room fridge died and they replaced it immediately. Breakfast was better than the average hotel breakfast. Overall a really nice experience. read more

I had no issues during my stay. It's located in an office park. Not within walking distance to anything at all so be prepared to drive. I don't really understand all the negative reviews. This is not a high-end hotel but there was nothing to disappoint me. I paid about $100/night before taxes. The check-in on a Saturday around 2pm was quick. The staff was friendly. I had a view of the lake which is better than the parking lot. Each room has coffee/micro/fridge. (the fridge is a little sensitive. Seemed either too warm or would freeze over) The faucet in the tub looked like it might fall out of the wall but other than that, no issues. I did not use the restaurant or gym or indoor pool but all looked standard. I would not hesitate to stay here again. BE A GOOD GUEST Question to all those who are expecting white glove service. Do you realize how little time these workers have to clean these rooms? Do you know what they are paid? Do you leave the room in the same condition as you would if you were a guest in someone's home? Poop splatter on the commode tank, stains on the sheets, queen top sheet on a king bed, broken bed caused the mattress to sag in the middle, and a front desk attendant (Chrystal) that seemed like she would rather be anywhere else than work. This place was the worst place I've ever stayed. First they gave us the wrong room. We paid for 4 nights in a junior suite. At approximately 2:30 we got our room. She be happy right....the first night there was a bug crawling on my pillow. Assumed regular bug. The second night we had bug bites. Again assumed that they were mosquito bites. We were sluggish in the morning. The 3rd night a very large roach was in the corner. We weren't fast enough to kill it. It went under an unlocked door.when we opened it it was filthy! We called The Hilton and told them what was happening. and while on the phone another roach surfaces. After the Hilton operator called the front desk. They called us and offered another room. As we were packing to leave....a #%#% Roach falls on my ARM! I lost my mind screaming at the top of my lungs after midnight! Of course no one opens their doors to see if I'm ok. This place is worst that motel six. And the room mentioned before was just down the hall! From 515 to 520! Needless to say we didn't get much sleep and left ASAP! We have a picture of the filthy room. The plugs that were loose and coming off of the walls. The faucet coming out of the wall. This doesn't deserve one star. I reserved two rooms for four adults. We had rooms across the hall from each other. We all wanted to relax briefly around 5 PM. There was so much noise in the hallway, we thought ithere was children playing. Wrong! It was four housekeepers. They were knocking carts against the wall. I said I was just trying to see what was happening. They apologized but it didn't stop. After all, they where having such a good time while cleaning the rooms that late in the afternoon. After dinner, we returned late, and our friends asked me to come look at their room. Hair, including pubic hair, was throughout bed. The sheets appeared to be spread since the they were not tucked well. We checked our room! It was the same yet not quite as bad.It was downhill after that we were all given another room. Our friends second room was satisfactory but ours was smoke filled and another hair in the bed. If we had another place to go that late we would have left. This is actually a health hazard. Don't stay here please! It was an awful night Also, when the elevator door opened there was a great deal of puddled water. I told Christy at the desk. She asked another employee to please help her and get the elevator. She said she couldn't she was busy shutting down. Christy was very busy. The other employee replied, "Could be somebody peed in it. Probably the worst Hilton Garden inn I've ever been in and I'm stuck here another 6 days unless I finally decide to go somewhere else but that means lugging all my stuff around again. Don't let the beautiful exterior and scenery fool you. That's actually the reason it gets two stars instead of one. Upon arrival to my room using the digital key I found a young man sleeping on my couch. As I politely tried to close the door, he came over and told me he was just getting ready to leave and that his mom works here. Nice young man for sure but what?! The tv in the bedroom had no remote control so I will worry about that tomorrow I guess. The place could use some real cleaning and not just surface stuff. In-room coffee is quite good Cons: 1. Wirlpool bath did not function properly (it would turn on, but the air induction system was inoperative) 2. Electric (Tesla) vehicle charging stations were not marked and one was beside a handicap accessible spot (so if the space was taken, the electric vehicle owner would either have to park illegally or bring their charging port and a long extension cord) 3. Bed was tilted toward the headboard (Room 223) 4. Flatscreen TV was dated 5. Bedding was not to Hilton standards & pillows were of a poor standard, not firm at all. 6. The shower floor is not anti-slip so we had to waste a towel & place it on the tile floor to prevent a rather disastrous slip and fall. There is no place to place your shampoo. The shower doors are merely hanging and move inward freely, allowing someone to fall despite one ADA handle on one side of the shower; there are no real ledges for you to put you legs on to bathe or shave (ladies) and is a poor design overall 7. There are no ADA handles around the whirlpool bathtub to aid someone in getting out of the tub, greatly increasing the likelihood of a fall or a large person being stuck - this room is a liability waiting to happen 8. Bathroom towels appeared cleaned, but smelled of an ashtray 9. Breakfast buffet: we sat ourselves, got our own silverware and drinks, watered down cranberry juice, Sunny Delight Orange Drink (yuck); I personally observed the "chef" remove the sausage links from the steamer line, place them back on the grill and put them back in the pan on top of older sausage links back on the steamer serving line (potential health risk); of the three staff members in the kitchen there were several dirty pans of biscuits stacked up on the prep line, not being addressed 10. Was targeted with credit card fraud by a phone call to my room claiming to work for the hotel and having my name and information, the manager said yeah these scams happen all the time at the hotels I manage. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Hilton Garden in Columbus. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, and their customer appreciation happy hour was greatly appreciated (see what I did there?) after a long day of travel. We ended up staying until closing time with Adrienne, she was full of personality and spunk and had us laughing all night. Seeing as there isn't anything else around within walking distance, it was nice to have a good bar open late. The breakfast crew were equally entertaining in the morning and very accommodating with our breakfast orders. Coffee was subpar but you can't please everyone, right? The location is tough because of the proximity to the highway, I would consider myself a heavy sleeper but was woken up by the highway noise and freight train multiple times throughout the night. If you have the option, go to a higher floor and the quiet side of the hotel. You'll thank me in the morning. read more

I waited at the bar to order a drink for almost ten mintues while the bartender flirted and talked to the single men in the dining area. She never came over to me so I ended up just leaving. After numerous other terrible displays of customer service we decided to leave after just 2 nights of our 2 week stay in Columbus. I accidentally left my neck pillow there and I called that same day to ask if I could come get it. They said they would leave a note for housekeeping and she would call me. The next day after still no call, I went in to get my pillow. When I arrived at the front desk they asked me all of the same information I had given them on the phone and told me the housekeeper would look again tomorrow. That was not what I expected from a hilton so I asked them to please go check another lady came out and said they would have called if they had found it. I asked them to please check, once again. They said they probably dont have it since the housekeeper never called me. Long story short, they never looked. I said I would not leave until they checked and that made them do so and... they came out with my pillow!! After telling me it was not there. TERRIBLE service! Don't be fooled by the nice exterior. The ONLY reason for two stars was the lovely women at the breakfast buffet!! They were so sweet! This place needs more people like them to be a successful Hotel! read more

The Hilton Garden Inn really went above and beyond our expectations. During planning, we were working mostly with Gayla, and for the day of, we worked mostly with Brandon and Amanda. I must say that those 3 really did their best to make all of our guests feel special and love their stay. We used the Hilton for our wedding reception (feel free to ask for pictures), and I could not have asked for more from the staff. The bartenders were tons of fun, and the serving staff the night of even joined us on the dance floor towards the end of the night! We did have 1 small minor issue the evening before with the front desk, but that was all taken care of by Amanda & Brandon. Night#107 this year in a Hilton property. Parking is inconvenient to the front entrance if you have luggage. Checked in and was given a room next to elevator and ice machine with several ac units beneath window. After completing my computer work, I called down to the front desk and asked if I could be moved to a quieter room. I was told I would need you bring everything out of the room to return key to be moved. I gathered my luggage and went downstairs. After navigating the hoses from a professional carpet cleaner as I got off the elevator iade my way back to the front desk. I was moved to a room number 4 digits higher. Better I thought. Nope.... I was now on the other side of the elevator. After being lectured about how they would have to clean the room I had just moved out of, I was hesitant to request another move. Room was a standard king room. Desk chair was adjustable which was nice. Desk vibrated when elevator was activated. Small refrigerator worked well and had adequate room. Keurig in room but all coffee pods were decaf. Housekeeper was vacuuming the hallway from 8:05 pm until 8:30 pm. Room smelled musty and ac struggled to keep up with the humidity. Poor water pressure in shower. Very hard mattress and only provided feather pillows. read more

I along with my family stayed in the hotel on June 26th, 2021 night. Room was spacious. However toilet flush was not working. I let the front desk know immediately. After we came back from party later in the evening, I checked at the front desk and they asked us to move into another room. That room was smelling very bad. So we decided to stick to the older room and toilet flush was somehow working that time. Next morning, again same problem. Flush stopped working and even bath tub was choking. I requested front desk for assistance but nobody turned up. So overall it was a bad experience. When I narrated all these to front desk staff while I was checking out, All I heard was "Sorry". I have always like this little baby sister of the Hilton family. The local staff every where you go, know the area well enough to guide you. I don't like their cheap booze, but thats what liquor stores are for... In general, this one is just as consistent as others I have stayed in - clean, friendly staff, pleasant service. If the Garden Inns are available, I tend to stay with them. I always know what to expect. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the more luxurious brands with fluffy robes and other obscenities... but Hilton Garden Inn is like a good old friend. I stayed here for a few days on business recently. It was recommended by my coworker who travels to Columbus often. He said this is his favorite place to stay, though there are other decent options in the area. Its located in what I'll call an office park, which has lots of offices but no restaurants, which is odd and a slight bit annoying. So you pretty much have to drive someplace for dinner though there's lots of options fairly close by. Apparently if you get a room with a king bed its some kind of fancy bed with magic fingers or something. I wouldn't know since they had no more king bed rooms when I got there (of course my coworker got one though). It was pretty packed the whole time I was there. But the queen bed I had was conventional but very comfortable. The room was decent sized and seemed pretty up to date with an flat screen HDTV. The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean. Overall for what I paid (admittedly a corporate rate) it was worth it and when I go back I'll stay here again. read more

Was there for the Thunder In The Valley Airshow and it is a lovely location right off the freeway but in a quiet business park. There is a lake next to it and it easy nice to hear the water fowl calls in the morning. The entry way is clean and eye-catching with a bar and breakfast area that were inviting. The rooms were immacculate, and nicely appointed. The shower head provides a powerful morning wake up that I really appreciate, considering many hotels have horrible shower heads! There is a keurig coffee machine with coffee and tea pods. They also provide liquid creamer, which I was very grateful for. Here are the few small downsides. The elevator is in the middle of the hotel, which is situated with the entrance on one end. Not area deal breaker but if you are are lazy like me, and bring everything in at once, it can be challenging to get to the elevator if all of the carts are in use. I recommend you check in and find out where your room is first because there is a side door right next to the elevator bank which makes load in easier! Also, this hotel hosts many wedding receptions it seems, as there was one both nights I was there. If your room is on the water side, you can hear the music and celebrations from your room, regardless of floor. HOWEVER, they must be aware of this because both nights, it got quiet not much after 10 pm. I only mention this if you go to bed early and hear the noise. They have a good handle on it, at least when I was there. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely chose to stay again! read more

Let me first say that the young lady Briana working the very busy front desk , alone , was lovely & super helpful . Also it was clear that cleaning & sanitizing was / is a priority here on property . What was not was a priority was/ is maintenance. We checked into our room around 7p and the toilet was running , loudly , non stop. After my daughter used it ( nothing bad , mind you !) and attempted to flush it wouldn't flush or refill just kept noisily running . My husband finally got it to flush and it just got louder and kept running . He went to the front desk to let them know of this issue . They offered to move us , Which is acceptable , but it's now after 9p and the new room remains not ready nor available. All we wanted after a long day of travel is to shower & rest but here we sit held hostage in a room we can't use the restroom in , can't unpack in let alone shower and relax in . This is the last night of our family vacation before returning to " the real world " ( so to speak ) and it is being spent sitting , staring at one another - and the walls -.in a room that is not ours really , is unuse-able and waiting in limbo for one that will hopefully be satisfactory so we can start changing clothes , showering and winding down who even knows when !! Oh bc & when I called to book I was told that while the on site restaurant was closed , I was told the bar is open on weekend nights . Hmmm a drink at the bar might be a respite as we wait . But no . It's not open . The sweet young lady at the front desk said she thought it was supposed to be open too . That would've definitely changed my original booking choice as , on vacation, I enjoy an evening adult beverage . As a long time Hilton Honors members I am glad to say that Ive has few issues At their properties overall but very disappointed in this major inconvenience and huge waste of our waning vacation hours . read more

Lovely hotel. Nice r I had to leave my house due to terminix coming to spray and I have a 3months old. I needed a quiet place where his naps wouldn't be disrupted, and where we could have food onsite.The indoor pool was the deciding factor when choosing this hotel. All naps were disrupted by the loud house cleaning team, as well as a team of window washers using a pressure washer. The pool had a sign on it that said it was closed due to cleaning. I came back a few hrs later only to find it was still taped on the door. I inquired the front desk where I was told it was accidentally left from the pool cleaner Yesterday.... I offered to take down the sign; he said yes. When my son and I got into the pool room we found the pool was never turned back on, neither was the hot tub. I told the front desk host, and all he did was have it turned back on... I felt like knowing I chose this hotel specifically on he indoor pool, that I can't use until tomorrow now, he should've compt my stay. Also, the professionalism of the food staff was subpar; and that's being nice... I felt like the hotel was so nice, but the staff wasn't very professional, nor willing to do extra mile type things for a guest. --Time Hop-- They promised points for a future stay at any of the hotel properties in the US. Two months later, I try and use them.... oh whoops, they didn't put the points on..... Pissed pissed pissed. Now I've had to pay for TWO crappy experiences. read more

But we booked the room because the website said it had a hot tub...we'd been traveling all day and were tired and thought a nice soak would be great plus there was a nice restaurant on site....turns out they not only got rid of the hot tub but the "restaurant " is 1 poor fella back behind the counter. So far, the only highlight is Jeffery who was at the front desk and compted us breakfast, which ordinarily you'd have to pay for. He was kind and understanding...I'm sure he gets way more grief than he deserves for the corporate big wigs mistake! Give that man a raise!!! The best place to stay in the Columbus / Ft. Benning area. I stayed here basically every weekend this summer, and so came to know the staff and management quite well. They offer top-notch service. To make a long story short, after a mess-up on their end, the hotel -- and in particular the manager, Scott -- went over and above to rectify the situation, and, in the process, they won my loyalty as a customer. So too did the staff on a daily basis: they were always friendly, helpful, and available. The breakfast servers remembered me and my girlfriend and we looked forward to seeing them on her visits down to Columbus. Beyond the great customer service, the hotel offers a unique retreat from the Columbus area. Nestled back in what is basically a residential neighborhood, you feel like you've left the city behind. It's got a great patio and gazebo, and the rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. It is not right downtown (or, "uptown") -- you'd have to take a 10- to 15-minute cab ride to get there -- so stay at the Marriott if you want to be able to walk home from the bars there. But if you are a family, or are visiting a soldier (ask for the government/active duty military rate), this is the place to go. read more

I am going to give four stars because this is our second stay here. They seem to be really busy this time and it shows. No towels by the indoor pool, so we had to call, but they were warm out of the dryer when they came. We checked in at 6:30 pm but they were still cleaning rooms. We only waited a few minutes but very surprising. The morning breakfast is $9.95 for adults and half price for kids. Everything on the buffet was cold except the bacon, so I would suggest ordering from the grill; pancake, waffles, or eggs to order. The service was wonderfully friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean, so I will stay here again. read more

We had a super stay at this lovely hotel once settled in. I admit that I called to have the bathroom in our room touched up upon arrival and I still went behind with my clorox cleanup but that's just my preference! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The front desk clerk may have quipped an attitude during my checkout but I'm not positive and let it go -- I was still pleased with our stay. The setting is in a lovely landscaped, treed, business park. The hotel has a waterfall (great photo opportunity) that flows into a peaceful lake behind it. The grounds were reclusive during our 4-day weekend stay. The king bed is marvelous -- so comfortable but the sheets were as thin as rice paper... seriously! This location worked out well for our family reunion... every convenience/store/restaurant etc. is a 2 minute drive away! I'll have to figure out how to get the pics from my phone to this review later. read more
