This bed was NEVER maid during our entire stay !!

One star is too good for this place. We had NO maid service for most of our 4 night stay - begged and tipped for fresh towels and soap with a tip - got that one day but nothing else. Unmaid beds overflowing trash and no towels or soap that we needed. Called the night before we checked out and the excuse was thar the hotel was busy. I will NEVER stay here again with so many other choices and Marriott should be ashamed to out their name in this hotel. Also dirty when we checked in - they must never ever clean the rooms.

We stayed only one night but it was a great stay. We had the Mill suite king. The room is big enough for two, well appointed with a lot of thought put into maximizing the space. LOVED the exposed brick look and the sleek bathroom. If you have business in Columbus, this is an ideal stay. One drawback. We were on the first floor, the Saturday night party music from the dillingham directly across the street is less than ideal when you are a light sleeper. Definitely found the place to stay in the future the next time we are in town.

This Marriott is a beautiful hotel! Be exposed brick and carved wood and a beautiful industrial yet elegant touch. This staff was extremely welcoming and helpful! The rooms are beautiful and clean with extremely comfy beds! I would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful property. It's been mostly renovated and they've kept some of the brick of the old building. It doesn't look at all like a normal Courtyard Marriott. The staff was very nice. Some of the things worth mentioning. 1. The room was clean, renovated and comfortable. However, the walls are thin and we could hear people in other rooms. There is a barn door style bathroom door that looks great but you can hear anything anyone is doing in the bathroom. 2. The hotel is attached to a Houlihan's restaurant which is very convenient. Also, walking distance to downtown, the riverwalk and the convention center. 3. The train will come through town sometime between midnight and 4am and blast the horn all the way through. No avoiding that. 4. The shower is a rain shower which is quite pleasant and they have large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and soap on the wall in the shower. This is quite convenient and saves waste and plastic. 5. There was a nice gentleman that greeted us as we walked in the lobby and asked if we would like a bottle of water. That was a nice touch. All in all, the experience was good.

My husband & I stayed here while visiting my mother in law nearby. We were warmly greeted by Jenna who worked at the guest services desk. She blessed us with the military discount since my husband was former Air Force. She also gave us breakfast coupons for a nearby cafe since the hotel restaurant was undergoing construction. She was the sweetest! We also want to thank Booking.com for not charging us to cancel our previous reservation for a Marriott farther away. We made that reservation prior to our trip not realizing the farther distance to my mother in law. This made it so easy for us to reserve a room at this location without an additional fee. Also, the rooms have been recently renovated. The bed was exquisite. Also has Starbucks in the lobby! We give this location 10 stars!

Nah.... At check in we were really impressed with this property. This refurbished warehouse provides an industrial chic vibe for the lobby and common areas. The impressive features of this hotel stop there. Pros: -very friendly, professional, courteous and accommodating staff -beautiful lobby and common areas -great location only steps away from fun dining spots, the riverfront, and the quaint downtown Cons: -hallways and rooms are outdated and need an update -windows allowed water to drip in to our room while it was raining outdoors -walls and doors are paper thin so get prepared to become acquainted with your neighbors - the Houlihan's restaurant on the premises is DISGUSTING and should be visited by the health inspector as well as a corporate representative... -a train will provide you with an unavoidable 4:45am wake up call This hotel has all a lot of potential to be an outstanding place but needs work to get there.

    My big, corner room.

I stayed here for my first time while working an event across the street at the trade center. I'm a big fan of Columbus, Georgia. I love that it is near a huge military base, and I think it has an adorable and charming personality. The Marriott is the perfect location because it's right in the middle of downtown Columbus. It is an older building so it doesn't look like your uniform Marriott. When I arrived, I was so warmly welcomed by the entire staff it made me think I was really going to enjoy my stay there. Herman and the valet staff were so kind to me. The parking is free and conveniently located in front and back of the hotel. I was upgraded to a corner king room on the fourth floor. My room was nice and big and spacious. I couldn't complain about anything, at first. I was checked in by Krystal and she explained to me the amenities, the concierge lounge hours and restaurant hours. I also got a few coupons to Houlihan's which is their hotel restaurant for when the concierge lounge was closed. There are only two elevators so I mostly took the stairs. For only having two elevators, it didn't take too long but the hotel was definitely at capacity due to the festival. There is a coffee shop/café as well as the restaurant. There is a 24 hour Fitness Center on site but I wouldn't get too excited about it, because it is tiny and has no air-conditioning. Every time I worked out there my face was beat red. It was so hot in there. There's also an outdoor pool, not sure if it's heated or not. Also pretty small and underwhelming. Everyone who works at the Marriott is completely lovely. You couldn't walk by one person who worked there without them saying "hello," smiling, and asking how you are doing. Southern hospitality at its finest. I had dinner at Houlihan's and Damaris was my server. She was so kind and amazing! I had salmon and it was pretty delicious. I went back for breakfast on Saturday morning with the breakfast buffet that I had a coupon for. It was pretty gross and I wouldn't recommend it. It also took a while for a server to get over to me, so that experience at Houlihan's was not as good. The concierge lounge had Talika and Joyce two wonderful women who are so gracious and so happy to help you when you arrive. The food is OK, but I really mostly went up there for water and coffee. The thing that irritated me the most about my stay is my shower situation. I had hot water my first day there so I knew the shower, at one point worked. My last three days there I took cold showers. It was so freezing I literally had to blow dry my body when I got out. Have you guys ever had to blow dry your body before? Spoiler alert: it's not fun. I used the Marriott mobile chat to tell them about my issue. I made myself busy and outside of my room so that somebody could fix it. I was told it was fixed. Well, the problem never got fixed. The next day I took another cold shower. I wasn't able to wash my hair the entire time I was there. Same thing happened the second day after they told me again that it was fixed. I was already pretty cold, and there is nothing worse than looking forward to a hot shower and getting a cold one. Mrs. Oliver spoke to me and apologized and offered to move me to a king suite. She was really sweet, but at that point it was my last day there and I was working and I really didn't have time or energy to move. They did offer a solution and points but at that point I was just kind of ready to leave. Overall, this hotel has great potential and really kind people working there. The hospitality is definitely off the charts. The woman at the gristmill coffee shop was rude but otherwise, everyone was a doll. The hotel itself, has issues based on how old it is. I will likely return here next year because of the convenience of being so close to the trade center. Hopefully they will have resolved some of their issues. Timothy checked me out and he was lovely, just like everyone who works there. However, I was up early for a flight and wanted a coffee for my hour and a half drive to the airport. I was told Houlihan's opened at 6 am for breakfast, so I planned accordingly. When I went to get my coffee to-go after 6 am, the doors were locked. I brought my stuff out to the car and Timothy talked to the restaurant and got me my coffee. Thank you, Timothy! Overall, I think this hotel needs to get hot water in their showers, air conditioning in their gym, and at least a decent breakfast.

Of course, as I encountered the room, I used my black light to search for critters and stains. Surprisingly, I didn't find any stains, but I did find dust behind the grate in the bed frame. I don't know why anyone would design something so challenging to get into to clear the dust--still, a minor issue. Next, the hotel offered breakfast, which is always nice since I'm not a morning person, even when I'm on a business trip. So, not having to go out and search for a diner is welcoming, and they offered eggs, sausage, and some other items. The grounds were well kept and right next to Mercer University Medical School, but the building is small. Plus, the area offered a river walk along the Chattahoochee.

I say that with all politeness but I wouldn't be being fully transparent if I didn't mention it. If you are new to the area and looking for a place to stay nearby, this Hampton Inn location is an excellent decision. When I told my son we'd grab a place to stay 2minutes from the base the evening before he was set to report back at 6a, he wasn't overly thrilled. I assured him it looked ok from my research. As soon as he realized it was next door to the Infantry Museum he knew it was ok. The staff were very friendly. We slept well at night. The hotel has a pool and serves a hot breakfast in the morning. They have a small military discount and while I haven't stayed at anything on the base I can confidently say this is a safe and great place to stay if you're looking to be nearby. If you're traveling as a family, the pool and brekke options may be especially nice. Had I known there was a pool sooner, I think we would have spent a bit of time out there. Perfect for summer stays! They had cookies out at night and I spotted grab and go style lunch/snack packs during the day, in addition to coffee/tea/hot cocoa out 24/7. When I went into the bathroom to wash my hands, I immediately noticed a stained and unclean towel so I decided to check a few more. I called downstairs and asked to speak with the manager and the receptionist (Carlin) said he was in a meeting and asked what she could help me with so I started explaining to her about the stained/nasty towels hanging in our bathroom. Suddenly the phone clicked out, so, I called back to the front desk in a matter of seconds and the manager (Mr. Alex, an Indian man) answered however, I could here the lady talking to him in the background. The manager said that they've been having big problems with the phone whereas it'll just cut off. I told him to let me hold on the phone while the receptionist (Carlin) tell him what my complaint was. He asked me what the problem was and I said to him if the phone is gonna keep turning off then let me hold on while Carlin explained to him about my concern. Nonetheless, he wasn't listening and was very rude. I told Mr. Alex that I was running out of time to prepare for my pick so we simply ended the call. In addition to the nasty towels, there was a red shirt left in the drawer that had something about abortions on it. Those issues were clear indicators that the room had not been properly cleaned or sanitized. At that point my husband and I would've checked out but it was the week for military graduations and all of the hotels were fully booked. We sanitized the room ourselves with OdoBan, Lysol and Clorox wipes. We thought to also go to a local store to simply purchase our own towels. I was a guest along with my daughter, son-in-law and my 4 grandchildren from March 12, 2026, to March 15, 2026. We were in Columbus to witness my grandson's turning green ceremony at Fort Benning (Ironically- Formally Fort Moore). In the early morning hours of March 15, 2026 I was awakened by the sound of my room door handle turning, as I sat up I was faced with a Man in the doorway with the light at his back, I could not see his face but I did see his backpack and the flashlight he was holding in his hand at chest height not a phone flashlight but a regular flashlight. Now you can understand my shock and panic when I saw this strange man in my hotel room, I did yell out a few expletives asking what he was doing, at that point 2 of my grandchildren that were staying in my room sat up awakened by my yelling. This stranger said he must have the wrong room and said he was looking for his mother I asked how the hell he got into my room, he said he got a key card at the desk. (ARE YOU KIDDING ME) then backed out and slithered away. Kind of makes you wonder what he was exactly up to. Now I quickly get dressed, which is not as easy as it sounds, due to being 67 and stiff early in the morning. I went to the front desk to be met by a wide-eyed young lady who seemed to be expecting me. I told her my name Mary Moore and room number 215. The rooms were booked under my daughter Mary Campbell. She said she was expecting me (ARE YOU SERIOUS) . She then went on to say the man in my room was at the wrong hotel. Now this future aerospace engineer, otherwise known as a spaceshot of a hotel clerk assured me I was in no danger obviously psychic abilities are her forte as she "looked at this intruders license and took his word for it that his mother was in room 215 " again reiterating I was in no danger. Thank God it wasn't a room with a young woman or a disabled person. By now I hope you see the HUGE problem I have with this. Fortunately for the clerk Angelique I thought I would go back to my room before my rage hit a new height and I lost it. Unfortunately for Angelique my daughter addressed the situation and was told to calm down no one was in danger, Angelique did end up in tears. One should never tell a daughter who is upset about her mother's safety to calm down. It never ends well. A manager was contacted. My daughter spoke to someone that identified himself as Reese the Regional manager who assured my daughter that this would be addressed and someone from corporate would be calling her, that never happened. He told her to get a Hiltons reward account and he would give her points for the stay, that never happened. Now I'm not saying that Hilton doesn't value it's customers but no follow-through and empty answers and no communication doesn't scream customer service or any real care or concern. My daughter has been given the runaround since this happened, which I think is strange since everyone she spoke to has a mother somewhere and seemed genuinely shocked that this occurred. So, I am writing to you because I do not have the patience or good graces my daughter has after weeks of disturbed sleep and total rage that this total lack of responsibility and safety for customers is in any way acceptable to any business. I do expect a reply to this Email not from some costumer service mouthpiece but from someone that does have some authority and can give myself and my daughter an explanation as why this happened and why we have been given the run around. I have stayed at Hilton several times and never had a problem but this experience and the lack of caring about senior citizens' safety is totally unacceptable. I have yet to discuss this incident publicly but that will be my next step if this is not addressed and we all know how social media, followers and local news love to run with a senior safety issue. Just saying. Expect to hear from you soon. Mary T. Moore This is the letter I sent to the CEO on April 3rd, no email no call no reply, First time I have been anywhere in 18 years and this happens and the hotel doesn't seem to care. I have not even mentioned the state of the room UGH.

As I began to wipe the sink counter and over to the light switch I noticed the wall was dirty so I wiped the spot on the wall when I noticed the wall was dirty and stained all the way down to the base boards. I moved to the toilet and the wall behind the toilet is nasty. I could not go that far into cleaning this bathroom so I cleaned the toilet and moved to the shower and when I tried to open the sliding glass doors there were stuck together on the track. Husband and I both tried moving the doors but was not working and as it's glass we decided to stop trying to avoid breaking the glass because at this point it was apparent we would have to literally yank these doors with all our strength and possibly break them sending glass all over and sending us to the hospital. After wiping the shower walls I turned on the shower faucet to rinse the cleaner the entire faucet fixture moved from side to side. This faucet is no longer attached to the wall. So we decided to just shower as quickly as possible because the shower doors are open and water was just spraying onto the floor so I put down towels and did not bother calling back to the desk for help because we called when we first got to the room and when we flushed the toilet, it began to overfill as if it was going to overflow and we are exhausted (we checked in @10 pm after driving for hours) and honestly what would they have done. Whoever cleaned or was "supposed" to clean this bathroom had to slide their body sideways into the shower like we did to even get in and clean because these doors are stuck in the track and are not moving which leads to believe they did not clean the shower. Moving to the bedroom I removed the hotel sheets and blanket and wiped the vinyl headboard with a wet cloth and was shocked to see the amount of dirt on the towel after wiping the headboard it was disgusting. I could literally see my handprint in dirt on the towel. Honestly I would have been more comfortable staying in a tent outside than in this room. When the baseboards of a room are filthy, that is a sign that it is not being well kept at all. We are totally shocked at the lack of maintenance and sanitation in your hotel. This was possibly the worst room I have ever booked in my life. This was definitely Not the Hilton Honors experience

She had paper printouts for guest check ins and couldnt find our information. It seemed odd to have paper prints in 2026, especially when we had booked online. After waiting for a long time, she gave us our room keys. When I scanned the key, someone screamed inside so I quickly shut the door. A woman opened it up in a panic and I informed her the front desk gave us keys to that room. We went back downstairs and the front desk worker was very confused and overwhelmed. She couldn't understand how the other people had been given our room. She also couldn't find another suite for us and proceeded to complain and rummage through the papers for awhile. Another guest tried to buy some drinks and toiletries and the front desk couldn't seem to ring them up properly. I called a different hotel and they were able to book me immediately for a room to accommodate my family. We told the front desk we were leaving and would contact corporate for the refund as she did not know how to process transactions at all, especially not a cancellation and refund (I had already been charged for the stay). Later that night, I contacted customer service for IHG Hotels and Resorts through their automated system. It took an hour before the representative could provide me a case number and let me know that management would call me the next day to resolve my issue. I never received a call and the charges for the room have not been refunded. Avoid this poorly managed hotel at all costs! They are at best, incredibly incompetent and at worst, predatory!
