Excellent breakfast with attentive and pleasant staff - especially in the dining area! Prestine rooms and in the heart of Dubuque. Definitely will be back!

Disappointing to say the least. Whirlpool tub had hair in the jets when I turned the jets on. The shower had mold in the mount. The side of the tub came off when I opened the bathroom door. This is supposed to be clean and sanitized for our "safety". I did not feel safe at all in regards to the cleanliness of the room. Charged a $60.00 fee for cleaning and damages etc. I've seen 20 or 30 but never $60. And this was not disclosed until after I purchased from their site and no cancellations accepted after 10am and I made the reservation at 2:00pm. So my $159.00 room became $219.00 which really hindered the travel budget. This hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast, either. I would stay anywhere in this area but here if I had it to do over.

Definitely not worth $178 a night for sure. I checked in online and used an electronic key. I didn't have to have contact with the front desk the entire visit. I did stop in the little convenience shop and purchased a drink and paid at the front desk. The woman was very nice. I also checked out online so I had not much contact with the hotel employees. The hotel itself was clean. It was recently remodeled so it looks nice. I would expect to pay $50-$75 for a room like we got. It was pretty noisy in the hallway. The room really had no view of anything except trees and flooding. The room had a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. They had a pool and business center. They also had a Farm Table restaurant and a Houlihan's restaurant there. There was an indoor connector walk to the casino.

Stayed here overnight as a quick Labor Day getaway. Beautiful hotel, all the staff very friendly & helpful, like Pam when we checked out (supplied us with some cold water bottles for our drive back home. Sweet!). Hotel has lots of amenities. Had a great time at the Greyhound Park on the property. Also spent time just down the hall in the Q Casino (and was a winner!). The front lobby had delicious fresh cookies out for the guests in the afternoon. Breakfast is a buffet, except for hot food made to order from a server. Which, since the area was full of guests, we had to sit an area away - so we had a delay for that. But otherwise the breakfast was delicious and did have a wide variety of choices.

I had to finally call and the lady appeared. I was quickly checked in which I did appreciate. Not with the same attention I have been in the past but checked in nonetheless. I checked in on the mobile app requesting a late check out of 4pm. I should have realized someone wouldn't go to bat to help but realized my request didn't go through until the morning. I asked as soon as I went down an was told there was nothing she could do since it was too late. I don't doubt she couldn't do anything as she wasn't empowered to do it. Said someone from "sales" would be in and they could help. When I returned, it was the same woman and had to ask if she was able to get someone to help and she said she could do anything. Before that I had asked her to try for a late checkout at 1 which she said was likely the most she could do. That was granted and as disappointed in the failure of the app I was happy to have that since I had no place to go for a few hours. Unfortunately, I don't believe she tried to go above and beyond that. Prior to that, I had come down the evening before to wait for Uber Eats to no one behind the desk again. When she did come out, I asked for a a bag for the ice machine since we don't have a bucket. Was told I'd get a bucket she assured was clean. She came back and offered bowls. Bowls that you'd use for soup or ice cream. Because they don't have any ice buckets. Who is taking their ice buckets? Back to the morning of requesting a late check out, there was no one behind the counter again. Had to wait and the same person from the night before finally showed up. Understaffed? Not empowered? Doesn't care? Idk... disappointed in this stay and see lots of room for improvement.

Train!!!! 3am train We found this on yelp that everyone was getting a kick out of this place so we decided to try it. Called ahead (from across town). The woman on the phone was very kind. Walked into the old fashioned lobby and checked right in without any hassle. Besides the front desk is a small market of choices for snacks incase you forgot something. The woman was friendly again and told us all that we needed to know. She told us about the adjoining bar that opened later that night. The two creepy life sized Native Indian dolls weren't much for conversation. Got in the rather old elevator....It made lots of noises as we ascended to our floor. Using an actual key we went into the room. The rooms decor was like stepping into my grandma house. It actually had a grandparent smell. We cracked up at the size of the "queen" bed. That is not a queen. It was clean though. Minus a couple little things the bed was clean and that's important. There was a mini fridge, a couch, a microwave and about 6 different lamps in our one room. What made me laugh the hardest was the instant coffee maker..The antique. Even had the plastic mini cups holders. Oh I was afraid of setting something on fire. You're adventurous right? Tired of the same old hotels, yea try this one for a whole new experience. Also the bar attached to the hotel has karaoke every night and the staff is very welcoming. Within walking distance of many places to eat.
