When we got to the hotel and were given our room, when we opened the door, in the room were balloons that said Happy 46th Anniversary, gold and silver balloons on either side, and a couple of glasses and chilled wine. I cannot express how amazing it was to be treated so kindly at the Holiday Inn. The carpet in the room is gross and there are many stains on the carpet, curtains, and bed sheets. They won't let you bring your own towels to the pool, but the towels you're supposed to use are basically hand towels. Keycards don't work 9/10 times you try to open the door. Booked this place for the heated pool and hot tub, very disappointed that we were never informed. We found out when we went to the pool. Would not recommend this place. There's a Holiday in directly across from it that would probably be better.

Security - there's no way as customary to secure the door from inside, no dead bolt, no latch, no door block on jam, nothing, not even a "do not disturb" to hang on door. So we're there an hour before woman walks in as we're lying on the bed gawking at us, and because the rooms are incredibly small (only window for natural light closed drapes behind tall headboard, coffin-like dark small room) the door and the woman are only 3 feet from the bed as she's basically standing at the end of the bed gawking at us and then shutting door. Noise - there's approx 2 inch gap from bottom of door to floor, so inside the room you hear all the sound from other guests and the restaurant as if they're in the room with you. Insects - for the few hours we stayed until we promptly checked out and went elsewhere, we saw cockroaches at the coffee station, that with the door gaps meant bugs were free to go from room to room to restaurant, including the multiple flying bugs of different kinds that were in our room. Service - we let hosts know (all online, no staff on site) that we were checking out for issues and requested refund. The one time we actually got a call back and spoke to a human, it was broken English (China?), and had to follow up on issues and request for refund again, and then never heard back. We went and stayed elsewhere, paying for two hotels that night, and never heard back from Nutt House.

The towels were super soft, which I always notice and appreciate. There isn't a traditional lobby or staff working on site 24 hours a day, but that honestly wasn't an issue at all. Ken greeted us when we arrived, showed us to our room right away, and answered all of our questions. He was friendly, welcoming, and very informative. Anytime I texted the number they provided, we got a quick response. We never felt like we were on our own or couldn't get help if we needed it. The amenities were great too. The free coffee bar was perfect in the mornings, and having an ice machine and elevator made everything easy. The complimentary aluminum water bottle was such a thoughtful touch. And definitely make a reservation at Christina's on the ground floor of the building. The food was fantastic and such a convenient bonus to have right there. I was a little worried about parking, but there is tons of street parking available. No problems at all. If you're looking for a cozy, unique place with tons of charm, this is it. We would absolutely stay here again.

Around noon on check-in day they called and asked if I needed a "handicapped room". I told them no and they said they had non-ADA king suites available. I called back an hour later to see when the room would be ready and they said 2-2:30. We arrived at 2:20 and the lady at the front desk said the room wouldn't be ready for another 45 min to an hour. Another couple was sitting in the lobby waiting for their room to be ready as well. We came back at 3pm and another employee was working the front desk. Thankfully our room was ready. That same couple was still waiting on their room. Obviously, they were not thrilled their room wasn't ready at the scheduled check in time (3 pm). I'm not sure if the original room we had would have been ready earlier or not. Our room was on the third floor behind the elevator. Surprisingly, the room was quiet when the fan was on so we didn't hear the elevator much at all. The room was spacious and clean. We had an issue with our room key working on the room door and the pool. But, once we got it re-keyed at the front desk it worked the rest of the time. Apparently, holding the room keys close to your phone deactivates the keys. Maybe in the future they'll switch to the blue tooth keyless entry like other major hotels. The indoor pool was nice. The hot tub was even better. The breakfast options were decent each day. We would consider staying here again when in the area.

This included the many changes made to the number of rooms needed as well as accommodating all of our other unique requests. He made a special effort to ensure our check-in experience would go smoothly. The staff members, Kyra and Tiffany, were patient as each room was paid separately and some needed to be split paid. Everyone on staff was kind and compassionate, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who asks. We did not leave a food mess nor have a messy room. when we arrived the infestation became prominent and insanely inconvenient. The crickets were a huge problem outside and became a problem inside. The front desk the first two days seemed to not care or like their jobs. We finally got to complain and they gave us an email to send our photos to. It is not guaranteed we will get any type of compensation. These photos aren't even all of them.
