Love loved this hotel. What a gold mine, We got in early ..went to Costco and the local grocery around the block! Across the street was Frugal's they had the best Halibut sandwich and Huckleberry milk shake! Hotel was immaculate, a fire by the front desk daily. Staff was wonderful...loved the manager everyone more than professional. Hotel pass through was a Casino I played every day and won! They offer you drink when you come into the casino, was surprised a call drink in a tall glass with ice ! Was free. The Firestone restaurant was amazing! A must to have here was the Salt block steak was $75. And worth every penny... the wonderful manager At Firestone, their fireplace was not on I asked her about it and she turned on both fireplaces. The hotel restaurant breakfast is so worth it...the best bacon you'll ever have... the yogurt parfait was so perfect ...we loved this Montana Hilton property! Stayed here a few nights while visiting Glacier NP. At around 5pm our room was still not ready so we decided to go out to eat first to wait on the room. I got the notification during dinner that our room was ready. Upon returning to our hotel and going to our room we found the room had not been cleaned and the beds were not made and the bedding was piled up in chairs. I went to the front desk and they apologized and said that they had a large room turn over that morning and they could not get all the rooms clean. They gave me a new room that was ready and we got settled. Overall our stay went well and had no other issues. When it came time to check out the app would not allow me to check out so I went to the front desk. They confirmed my info and we were on the way. A few hours later when I was checking on another reservation that night I noticed I was never checked out and it was going on 11am, meaning If I wasn't checked out I would be charged a late fee. I tried calling the hotel 3 times but got a computer and my calls never went through to the front desk. Thankfully I was able to message the hotel via the Hilton app and finally got a response and check out confirmation from the hotel. Aside from those few hiccups, my stay went great. read more

This hotel is so nice. It's so clean! It was a pleasure to stay here. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept so well. We had a jr suite, which was very spacious. I used the laundry room, and it was very clean, too. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful. I have no complaints about this room or the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness. The mattress and underneath the mattress was clean. I even checked behind the tv and there was no dust. I was talking to housekeeping and they said the hotel has very high standards for the housekeeping staff and they actually do dust everything. After the room is cleaned, it's checked by a housekeeping manager. I've stayed in alot of hotels and I'm telling you, this our room was clean. This place is dismal from the standpoint of services. Nothing about its operation screams "Welcome!" I travel for business and the company has me staying here regularly. Compared to other hotels, this place disappoints. Start with no free breakfast. Ok, admittedly, guests pay for everything, even the "free" stuff. It just gets bundled into the overall price. Not at Hilton. You pay a premium for the room. They charge a premium for the buffet. Even a simple desire like oatmeal does not fall into their a'la carte option so you must pay full buffet price. Guests come and go. Having free coffee in the lobby throughout the day is a standard at many places. Not here. You can get coffee from the breakfast bar but any other time? You're stuck with the Kureg coffee pods in your room, and chalk white "creamer." Maybe you just want some water? $2.00 each for the bottles in rooms. I guess this is a tourist trap...er, destination hotel. There is no business center where one can work in semi-privacy. The public computer and printer is located on side of the check-in counter. No chair. No desk. No privacy. No place to set your laptop. Oh, and the computer hasn't worked for months, so forget accomplishing anything with this setup. Is it that hard to make people feel like you appreciate them spending their hard-earned money with you? I heard one family of three walk away disappointed muttering, "For $400 dollars a room and they still want to gouge us for breakfast?!" We booked this room last minute after leaving Glacier National Park. We chose this hotel because Hilton is usually our hotel of choice. For one weekday night and a basic room with two queen beds, we paid $238.52 which is slightly higher than average. The check-in process was quick and easy and after a close inspection, we found our room to be very clean. I don't know if it's just me, but I always do walk through of my room wherever I stay. That ensures if I find anything to be wrong with it or the cleanliness, I don't have to pack all my stuff up in case I need to switch rooms. Luckily, that wasn't the case and we were able to unpack and unwind. We arrived just before 8pm and still had some time to enjoy the pool and hot tub before it closed at 10pm. The entire property was very well kept, clean, and quiet. Once in our room, we didn't hear a peep coming from the hallway or the rooms next door, and we were even right across from the elevators. When the shades were pulled down, they fully covered the window at night to not let any light in. I cannot sleep with any light and like it to be pitch black, so having good shades is something I appreciate. Overall, we had a great stay even though we were here less than 12 hours. The room was clean, cool, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The pillows, unfortunately were pretty flat.....but you can't win them all. I would definitely stay here again! read more

We booked three nights at this hotel for a big event in the area. Initially, the coffee machine and the shower did not work in our room. Amanda, the manager was notified. The next day, maintenance checked out the issues and did absolutely nothing. My wife had to go to my daughter's room to wash her hair. When I tried to eat something at what appeared to be a continental breakfast bar, the rude food clerk intervened and said I was not entitled to breakfast. This was embarrassing to say the least, and the first time I have ever stayed at a hotel with a continental breakfast bar that was ONLY for a select group of customers. There is nothing on my reservation that says the breakfast bar is only for certain bookings. Eventually, Elizabeth O'Leary, the General Manager got involved and had Fabiano Pierra call me after we left. Fabiano said he was sorry. Great... Sorry! Basically kicked out of the breakfast bar, the shower did not work and the coffee machine did not work, and he was sorry. He said he would open an investigation, perhaps refund part of the costs, and get back with me. Still haven't heard back. So, I filed a complaint with corporate when I returned home a week later and was told I'd hear back in three days. It has been over a month now and I have not heard back. We had 32 people staying in the area at other hotels. They all had a delightful experience. We did not. Bottom line, pick another hotel when staying in Kalispell. read more

OK, so to put this in perspective I travel a lot and stay in Hilton properties primarily in my travels. My new wife and I stayed here as part of our post wedding run about the northern Idaho and western Montana adventure. While this was a nice hotel and it appeared clean and well appointed, I have to say that as a Diamond member I felt less than appreciated (was not thanked for my loyalty as is normal, desk gal was nice but seemed out of place, address and directions via app and google maps took us to the wrong end of town where the hotel isnt... blah). The digital check in and electronic key didnt work and I was assigned to a room who's window literally looked at an adjacent wall. I asked for a change in room and was told it was the only room... The hotel housekeeping staff was below par at best... we had two nights in the room and on day one ofter first night, staff were on deck until 1800 working rooms and ours was never touched... reported to the desk... got a nonchalant 'sorry' and a few servings of coffee creamer we'd requested... I will say that someone thought the view sucked...(it did and who the hell designs a building like that?)it whimsical and tried tie some postcards of area scenery across the window... funny but not helpful... Like I said... felt under appreciated... not only as a customer but as someone who spend at least 130 nights a year in Hilton properties for business.. Dont think I'll return here... there are two other properties in Kalispell... one of which I've stayed and liked.. my mistake in choosing here... read more

this place is horrible. i highly don't recommend. their beds SUCK woke up feeling worse than i already do. my whole body ACHES from that bed. we got a noise complaint from the old people downstairs. it was 11pm...... if you want a quiet night go home? their tap water is actually disgusting, bathroom is SO tiny. you have to PAY from breakfast. The word "Tired" comes to mind when it comes to the Hilton Garden Inn Kalispell. It's well past it's expiration date. I wondered why it was so inexpensive. Where to start. Checked in on line. Went to hook up my mobile key (great idea). Nope. Had to start over at the front desk. Then keys didn't work. Back downstairs for new keys. Walked in to an air conditioner that sounds like a portable generator is in your room. Carpets are filthy and smell like dirty dog. It simply shows they pay their people way too little and they don't care. So I thought I would relax and make a cup of coffee. I like that they have Kuerig coffee makers and can bring my own coffee. I opened up the water reservoir to find some inanimate object floating in the bottom and covering the inside of the reservoir. That is taking the ick factor up 100 levels. Here is my letter to the manager of this hotel that I just emailed to her.... Hello Crystal, I called you around 5:30AM on Friday morning. You said your computer was down so you couldn't assist but you'd call back once it was up and running. It has been 4 days and I am still waiting for you to call me back. I feel that I have been bounced around like a tennis ball between you, your staff, Booking.com and Hilton corporate ever since I made an online reservation on 8/5/19 through Booking.com. Moments after I made the reservation online on August 5th, I realized I did it for the wrong dates. This is my mistake and my deepest regret. But I figured this must be a simple fix, for a hotel of this size could surely figure out how to click "cancel" on an online reservation. Boy, was I wrong! I immediately attempted to adjust this reservation through Booking.com. They directed me to your hotel. I called your hotel and explained what had happened and they directed me back to Booking.com. Booking.com gave me only one option - to email the property to request a free cancellation. So, I did that. I did it twice, (August 6th and August 12th) as you can see below in my series of screenshots. I received zero response from Booking.com or from any representative of your hotel about whether these messages were received or my cancellation approved. So, I assumed that I was stuck with these dates. On September 13th I got an email confirmation from your hotel telling me that my trip was confirmed. So, we just had to make those days work and planned the trip for those dates. The morning we woke up to leave for the trip, I checked my emails. Out of the blue I see a confirmation from you saying that my request to cancel for free has been approved!!! Additionally, my credit card had a pre-authorization charge from your hotel. Imagine my surprise, shock, horror and upset. I called the hotel at 5:30AM in a panic and you personally answered the phone. You seemed confused and couldn't get the computer to work but you said you'd call me right back. You never called me back. I had to move forward with my trip and arrived in Kalispell that evening. I arrived at Hilton around 7PM and requested to speak to you. You were gone. I spoke with a lovely woman named Hillary. She tried her best to help me. She said she would print my documents and put them on your desk with a note. She called me later that evening and assured me that everything should be credited back to me. In the meantime, I even reached out to Hilton corporate for help. They have been bouncing me around between several staff members named "Cleannefie, Edelyn, Marc, and 'Corporate Guest Relations Specialist'"... None of these people/computers are doing anything to help me and they all just shit out generic corporate responses to get rid of me. I was told that it is up to the general manager of the hotel to help me. This is why I am back to you. Here is my problem, Crystal: Why in the world did you/Hilton not respond to my initial requests on August 5th, 6th or 12th? Why did you, personally, not call me back when you said you would? Why did you charge my credit card for one nights stay when I was told by Booking.com and Hillary that it was a free cancellation? I have so many questions and I am absolutely irate. This is the absol worst hotel we've ever stayed at. 1. Over priced by at least 50% 2. Room had a view of a wall 3. internet was down 4. No soap in the room 5. Coffee maker hadn't been cleaned years 6. No cups for coffee in lobby. When cups arrived no coffee 7. Restaurant was closed 8. They charged for breakfast that should have been free 9. I'm a Hilton gold member so out of the four? Five? Hilton owned properties, this is the one I stay in the most. The full breakfast buffet is included with gold membership, And I like the breakfast options better than at a Hampton inn. This hotel was new about 7 years ago. They do need to do some updating: like USB power ports, total dimming bedside lights and some new treadmills in the workout room. The homewood suites is slightly beating this place out for features, but for the price I'll suffer the old treadmills and the lack of USB ports. read more

I usually stay at Marriott branded hotels, however; in Kalispell they don't have any under the Marriott umbrella. My second choice is always Hilton. I must say, I was impressed by the staff and the hotel. They do a great job keeping the rooms and the hotel clean, the staff was extremely courteous and I know for a fact I would come back and stay at this hotel if I were to go back to Kalispell. Exercise room was exactly that - an exercise room. Not too many options to get a workout in, other than the standard treadmill, bike, and elliptical machine. Hilton will never get my business again. As I can see from other reviews, Hilton has let other customers down as well. I even had Alaska Airlines fight for me to no avail, seeing as it was the airline's fault, I needed to cancel my room. Customer service is dead in this country. There are too many other hotel chains to choose from Hilton, for you to be ill-mannered and hold onto $238 from the little guy. Yes, I am fully aware that the room was a non-refundable room; I am the one who purchased said room. However, I am a Hilton Honors member (for only a short period of time longer) and with other loyalty programs, unforeseen events can sometimes be waved on occasion. Especially if it is the first offense. So buyer beware! You are dealing with a narcissistic company that really thinks its property/company is pretty special. As far as I can read from the other comments, maybe you can keep other free money Hilton and update your properties a bit. read more

Extremely nice staff. Room wasn't that clean, the restaurant was closed so I had to leave to eat dinner. Also I was told incorrect breakfast time and missed breakfast. You also have to pay for WiFi in order to use FaceTime. A restaurant and free WiFi was why I chose this hotel. At $350 a night it would have been nice to get food on site. Kalispell, Montana isn't exactly a bastion of luxury hotels, so the Hilton Garden Inn is one of the better hotels (if not the best) in town. It has a pool, complimentary internet, and a half decent gym, which was more than I could ask for in terms of amenities. I was in town for work, so I ended up booking a place here. The front desk is constantly busy, so you'll likely have to wait to get served, which is a minus. Rooms: Clean and well-appointed - although quite bland in terms of appearance, as might be expected. They cleaned the rooms regularly, and provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion daily. Service: Room service was prompt. However, the front desk, manned by two people usually, is constantly busy, and you'll likely have to wait to get service or check in. Parking: Easy, plenty of parking to go around. Lobby: The lobby has a spacious, hunting lodge look to it which suits a Montana establishment well. The lobby is in a weird place, sort of in the back corner, and there are a lot of tables for dining all around. Also lots of comfy couches to sit on and get work done. Overall, this is a good hotel if you're going to Kalispell. It's adequate and gets the job done, even if it isn't a 4 Seasons. This place books up during busy season and when there are conventions, so check availability before showing up! read more

They talk at the top of their lungs and it sounds like right outside my door. Who in the heck has so much to talk about at 8am? Like the day has just started and blah blah blah blah.. omg. We were on a road trip from Arizona to Glacier National Park, then to WA, OR, NV & return to Arizona in late June 2017. We decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn as it's one of the better/nicer Hotels in this location. This Hotel was only 30+ minutes from Glacier National Park. We stayed here two nights and found breakfast at the Hotel worked for us. Most items were in the buffet and cooked items were to order, This worked for us and we could return to our room to brush teeth, etc before leaving for the Park. Our room had two queen beds, clean room with no issues. No parking issues at this Hotel. The staff were friendly and great. read more

The next morning we were told we'd get the right room. After returning from glacier we still did not have the room we paid for. We will not be back, be better Hilton! I called to request housekeeping after our room was missed on our second day. I was asked "what do you want exactly"? Again nothing was done. Bath mats were left as pool towels, and apparently no other towels in house after multiple attempts to pick them up ourselves. No mattress pads here, just a thin sheet...yikes how is this ok? Pros: The beds were SUPER comfy. Like, I laid down and almost immediately fell asleep. The room with 2 queen beds was roomy enough for 2 people. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: $90 for a room and they can't even give away a bagel?! No bueno, Hilton!! They make you pay $10 for a crappy continental breakfast!! Also, we were awakened by the cleaning staff VACUUMING THE HALL AT 9 A.M. We heard the vacuum approach the room. Then it stopped. Then it started again. It went past our room. Then it stopped. Then it started again. (They were unplugging it each time it stopped to move down the hall.) It just kept on going like that - stopping and starting ALL. THE. WAY. DOWN. THE. HALL. Hilton you would of gotten a better review if they didn't put us on the first floor right next to the stairs, pool, and gym. When I booked online I requested a higher floor. We did check in early so that may have been the reason why. The room itself was nice and clean. The hotel is situated what looks like, in front of an airport. We didn't hear any planes while there. I'm generally a Marriot person, but no Marriot in town means it's a Hilton property week. This place is great. Clean quiet rooms and an adequate fitness room with all machines and weights in good condition. I love that they have coffee, tea and lemon water in the lobby along with some snacks. The lodge inspired decor makes this place feel modern and cozy but it doesn't have the cheapo modern feel of a lot of the newly renovated Marriot Courtyards. Based on this experience, I might have to try Hilton Garden Inns in other towns as well. read more
