We checked in ; 4 gals out for a fun filled week . Our reservations were fine and our room was ready to check in. We found it to be clean and bug free...yes we checked. Comfortable queen beds w ample pillows and blankets. We were told that dinner would also be included for Mon thru Wed guests. We enjoyed the 24hr pool, spa and workout area. Our room was always well stocked for 3 people even though we were 4! It's management's policy to set up the rooms for 3...fine until there are 4 people. Nightly warm cookies were a nice treat and 24hr coffee in your room or breakfast room. The elevator was shut down for maintenance just before we loaded our car. Luckily we were only on the second floor. The staff are Friendly and helpful. Breakfast after a good night's sleep is a nice perk. Many healthy options including gluten free. This is a very nice place to stay as it is kept clean and is a newer build. The staff at the front desk were very nice and quick to get us set up. The room we had was spacious, well stocked, and clean. It was also very quiet which surprised us as often newer hotels are not given much insulation between rooms or in outside walls. Fridge and microwave also set up in a nice kitchen space in the room. They serve breakfast in the lobby eating area which is very room and fairly large. Out back there is a gas fire pit with a handful of chairs around it. There are several restaurants within walking distance including Chick-fil-A, IHOP, Five Guys, and Famous Dave's to name a few. Sadly, and I mean that when I write it, I will not be back to this hotel. I'm a crewmember and our company put us up at this hotel last night since our regular hotel was experiencing water issues. From the moment we checked in we were treated poorly. We had requested rooms that were even numbers because we heard from other crewmembers that the odd rooms faced the highway and it was noisy. A simple request for ANY hotel(they were not at capacity) to accommodate. The woman at the front desk, actually both women were snarky and spoke to us in very rude ways. Some of their comments: "Only cranky old men complain about the highway noise" "The windows close all the way, so the sound is blocked by that." -accompanied with an eyeroll. They both seemed completely inconvenienced with our request for even numbered rooms and made it very clear we were putting them out. We checked in at 1325 on 11/29. Housekeeping was also extremely loud, carrying on outside of our rooms. The rooms were clean, so it's too bad they have such cranky people running the place. read more

My parents have I think IHG Platinum and we were upgraded to a suite with a separate living area making the room more spacious. The hotel is in what seems to be a more newly developed area with a bunch of chain stores so easy to stock up on supplies before heading into Glacier. The hotel had complimentary breakfast with eggs, sausages, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, cereal, fruits, etc. and they also had a small freezer in the lobby with individual small ice creams all day. In the afternoon there would also be popcorn and cookies. Also was able to get a free shuttle ride back to the Kalispell airport. Only con is if you're there for Glacier, it's still about a 45 minute drive to the West Entrance by Apgar Visitor Center. read more

I decided to stay at a nicer hotel for my trip to Kalispell and booked this hotel. Our evening started with some very loud occupants above us. We gave it over an hour before we called the front desk and the young man there said that he would speak to them. After two hours and no sleep and it's past midnight and multiple times going to the front desk my husband decides that he's going to go tell them that we need a new room if he cannot handle the issue going on upstairs and at this point the people above us are purposefully jumping around and banging on the floor. As my husband was exiting a room a man was in the hallway with a knife out trying to get into the room across from us. My husband came back in and put his firearm inside of his waistband and went outside to go let the front desk know that there was a man with a knife in the hallway. At that point the man from the front desk was in the hallway and was being threatened by this guy with a knife so I called 911. 10 officers from Kalispell PD came and arrested him but at this point he had already assaulted A 15-year-old boy and his mother in the hotel room across from us. The paramedics came to help them and the man with a knife was taken to jail. We had three children there two of which knew what was going on , they were bawling. And to be completely honest they were afraid and so was I. Meanwhile whoever is above us continues to slam around on the floor. All of these things are 100% the negligence of the people managing who was at this front desk. The person at the front desk was not capable of handling any of what was going on in the hotel. There was a large group of teenagers in the front entryway congregated. Everything was completely out of control. The young man at the front desk kept telling us that he had to wait for his manager to get there because he didn't know what to do. We asked them to comp our rooms because within an hour of the manager getting there we were moved to a different room that was less expensive. They refused to comp our rooms for even one night. I am so grateful that my husband carries his firearm and that if it came to it we could've protected ourselves and the young man at the front desk. However I have never seen such poor customer service after such a frightening incident. I had a 10-month-old baby who was up crying and screaming and we had to pick up all of our things and move in the middle of the night and nothing was done after all that happened. The people running this hotel were completely negligent. We will never stay at any hotel from this chain ever again. It has been about two weeks since this all happened and I keep waiting for my credit card to be refunded the charge but it still has not been and I can't even believe it. We actually helped defuse the situation and offered to give statements to the police for what happened. Our first night back home in Utah my daughter was crying before bed because she was scared of a man with a knife and kept asking if he was going to come back. I actually have a video of the people running around above us making an insane amount of noise but I am unable to upload a video so I took a screenshot of my kids are looking up at the ceiling while we are listening to the madness upstairs. At this point I really don't even care to get a refund I am so upset at the customer service of this hotel. We should not have even needed to ask for a refund. read more

Some of the rooms have a balcony with chairs and that was pretty neat. They offer an airport shuttle that you have to reserve 24hours in advance. I didn't use it but 1it's a nice amenity. It was nice to have a real breakfast and the two women working it were wonderful. Beyond that though, it wasn't the best stay. The staff seemed to not be able to answer the most simple questions. It took 25 minutes to check in because the desk person was new and no one instructed him on how to perform the check-in tasks. Another person could not take a credit card to pay for items from their little deli. The rooms were good other than the bed being too soft. I know lots of places are having trouble getting help, but when you get them, you should train them. read more

Our neighbors in the room next to us showed up at about 2:00 a.m. and partied very loudly until 6:30. This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in a long time! I'm prior Navy so I have stayed in a few hotels to say the least. My family and I stayed here on a trip to Glacier National Park. I wanted something closer to the park and honestly this was not my first choice, but it was in my budget. I was so pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown to me and my family by the staff who went above and beyond. The rooms were clean, really nice with refrigerators and microwaves. The continental breakfast was amazing as well, certainly beats the Mess Decks on ship! They had sausage, omelettes, waffles, cereal, fruit, so many choices. Every year around the same time, after September but around Oct-Dec when the illegal alien housekeeper from Mexico (this is not the issue because my review doesn't pertain to them) they hired and her daughter who helps in the laundry room go back to Mexico for a couple months they will rope in an unsuspecting person for help in the laundry room never telling the person they hired that their job is only temporary when they hire them. Then when the director of housekeeping who apparently is in charge of the whole hotel (that's a/the general manager's job but I guess it's just a title at this hotel) lets them go she will make up some lame false excuse as if it's supposedly your fault you were let go and then repeat the process the next year and hire another naive person around the same exact time of year for temp help. Besides that most of the workers are longtime locals so if you are not useful to them or in their high school drama filled clique they will make sure you don't stay on even if you are a hard worker/a person willing to put in the work and show up for all your scheduled days. So if you see any advertising for a laundry room position at this hotel every year at the same time understand that it's not permanent position, the director of housekeeping doesn't even have the common decency/professionalism to be honest about that with people and you will be gas lit with an "it was your fault" excuse as to why they let you go. This is how this business operates because of who they have "in charge." It is not ok to treat people that way. People need to be aware of this. read more

We stayed at this hotel and while it was very clean and had everything we needed, they are not enforcing the mask mandate at all. Despite the signs. My wife is high risk and we were very disappointed to see the majority of people completely disregarding the mandate. In lobby, hallways, elevators and even receptionists. We were hoping to rent a vacation home but couldn't find any in our price range so we chose this hotel because it's always been our favorite. Very disappointed to see this happening. I'd like to start this out by saying I have no problem with Holiday Inn Express. They are clean and comfortable hotels. I would however like to issue a warning to guests staying at or thinking of staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Kalispell, MT. Our truck was stolen out of the parking lot of this hotel recently and it wasn't until after we'd had almost every possession we own in this world stolen that we found out vehicle break-ins are very common at this location. If you choose to stay at this location please try to park in front of the building and remove all valuables (and non-valuables for that matter, the scumbags who did this even stole our dog's toys) from your car. I would STRONGLY suggest avoiding the side lot altogether as the hotel has made no attempt at installing security cameras or patrolling that side of the building, which is where most of the cars are being broken in to. In the unfortunate event you do end up in our shoes (or more specifically, sandals, because they stole the rest of our footwear), call the police first as the front desk seemed un-phased and unapologetic that this happened on their property. read more

My husband and I booked this hotel because it comes up in reviews as being the best hotel in Kalispell. Boy were we surprised by this terrible experience. I definitely expected more for $140 a night. This was hands down the worst hotel we stayed at during our cross country journey. Hotel is 'pet friendly' hotel but proceeds to book guests in rooms where they have a 15-minute walk to the nearest exit. Every other hotel we booked was wise enough to book guests with pets on the first floor near the exit. Could not believe how far away from the exit they put us and was so nervous my dogs might have an accident on the way outside. Hotel itself was really noisy and I think they booked the US Olympic gymnastics team above us. We listened to people and things loudly slamming and tumbling well into the night. I called the front desk who said they would handle it but nothing changed. Did not enjoy the room at all because of the noise. Also - good luck getting your stuff to your room. There were no dollies available when we got there and had to lug most of our stuff up to the second floor from across the full parking lot in below zero weather. "Complimentary supper" was supposed to be served until 7. Went down at 6:20 and everything was picked over or completely gone. Instead of refilling, staff picked it up. No apple juice in the dispenser...dispensed water instead. Went to try the complimentary milk and cookies. No milk in the container and cookies were long gone. Slightly pulled out the nightstand to plug in my laptop into the wall and found a bunch of moldy muffin wrappers. GROSS!!! Will post a pic of that shortly. All-in-all I was extremely disappointed in our stay at this hotel and will never book another room at Holiday Inn again. read more

Our only complaints: First cleaning, the maid didn't leave coffee or cups. The second, left dirty towels on floor, but left clean ones. Neither is too bad, the front desk provided coffee and cups. He and She are very impressed with the Holiday Inn Express chain. This one was just as good....clean, neat, quiet and restful. They were very lucky to get the last room (having booked after researching on TravelAdviser.com). The motel was difficulty to find, and the GPS system couldn't locate the street, but a visit to the website on the phone gave very clear directions. It is handy to the chain stores, and not too far from downtown. There is a wonderful pondless waterfall at the entrance that sets the scene for this modern motel. A fridge and microwave were helpful, and the free wifi was quick and easy. Beds good, tv good, Highly recommend. SO much better than trying to stay closer to the park.....heed our words, weary traveler. Save bucks and frustration, and rest your tired heads in this cool oasis. read more

I was very impressed with this hotel when I checked in for a business trip. The lobby is nicely decorated, perfect for Montana! At the time of my check in, they were serving a nacho bar in the dining area and shortly after that they had milk and cookies out for guests in the lobby. Check in was incredibly quick and the staff were able to direct us to a few local restaurants for dinner. Our room was modernly decorated and larger than expected with a very nice bathroom. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had little or no noise to deal with during our 3 night stay. The beds are comfortable and soft, we had fresh towels dropped off every day and had a great experience here. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay! read more

Maid never touched my room! I have stayed here before and always had a good experience. So I come back to my room this evening to find my room untouched -- bed unmade, towels on the floor, trash in the cans. I went to report it to the front desk. The clerk's immediate response was, "oh boy." She said there were no housekeepers available and then scrounged around to find several towels. She never apologized or offered any sort of compensation for my troubles. I am not a messy guest nor was I desperate for a clean room tonight, but I still paid for that service. I finally had to ask her to note it on my record and ensure that I receive points for my dissatisfaction at a minimum. She made a few keystrokes and muttered and said she had updated my record. Still no apology. It's unfortunate but now there are more choices in Kalispell and Whitefish and I will look elsewhere next time I'm in town. read more

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Employees were so friendly and nice. We absolutely loved the breakfast options including several gluten free items. When I complimented the breakfast staff on having gf options they were so nice and prepared a to go bag full of gf goodies for us to take on our way out. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had lovely full size products in the shower. Only downsize is a very basic pool area. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend. read more

Exceptional friendly welcome and check-in process. Stayed in 3rd floor King Suite on first of two nights. Larger bathroom. Good sized room with comfortable bed. Included balcony. Fine breakfast which was well stocked. High priced due to proximity of Glacier National Park. Second night, stayed in a 2-Queen bed room as the price of the previous King room shot up in price. This room was on back side of hotel and had no balcony. Room smaller including the bathroom. But still quiet and comfortable. And, this smaller Queen room was higher rate than the previous King room of night 1 at this Holiday. We stayed two nights to the east of Glacier and two nights in Kalispell. Our observation, the restaurants, highways, accomodations on the west side of Glacier are much more modern and of higher quality than most on the east of GNP. read more

We were very happy with this hotel. Adequate fitness center (unless you are hard-core) decent pool area, good breakfast, warm cookies in the evening. The lobby area is beautifully decorated with a rustic mountain lodge theme. Very polite staff who were very accomodating when I needed to print some documents. There's a Costco, Starbucks & Famous Dave's all within walking distance. And about a 30 minute drive to West Glacier. I'd recommend staying here. read more

This was our 2nd to last night and we wanted a restful sleep but affordable as well since we paid a fortune to stay in Glacier Nat. Park. This hotel fit the bill, our suite was incredibly roomy, clean, smelled really clean, and everything was in its place and arranged very comfortably, and the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful, and very accommodating. The continental breakfast was pretty good as well. There was an assortment of pastries, cereal, waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatos with all the juices and coffee (alot to be desired on the coffee, but there is a Starbucks around the corner). All in all, it was a very relaxing stay and sleep and I would stay at any of their locations in the future. read more

After a poor choice of meeting a date from online, I need a place to stay for a couple of nights. Previous reviews, brought me here. My two dogs and I had made an 8.5 hour trip from Oregon and were not up for a turn around trip back home. The rockin' ladies at the front desk, after hearing my sad story, left me a really wonderful care package in my room. The fact that the staff here are thoughtful and caring, is enough alone to want to stay here, but the amenities are a bonus as well. What a great place to stay! Talk about customer care........ We have been staying here on and off for awhile as we sold our home in Kalispell while waiting to move. We have 2 friendly dogs and the other day, my wife was taking the dogs out and our pets saw another dog they wanted to go greet. Well, my wife got tangled up and had a collision with the asphalt. She was like most people, embarrased, but bruised up. A day or two later without us ever mentioning it to anyone, there was a vase w/gorgeous flowers, a dog toy and a get well card signed with personal notes from many of the Holiday Inn staff. One of the guests must of seen the ordeal and mentioned it to the employees. What a great unexpected, sincere gesture. Everything here is very clean and everyone is so accomodating. The hotel was great again. We had our dog with this time. They gave us a room on the south side that worked great for us. First floor and close to the door when the dog needed to go out. The breakfast was good and had a good assortment or foods. The employees were nice and pleasant. The room was clean and considering we were here five yrs ago, the hotel doesn't look run down. Its seems to be taken care of. The area has really exploded with the addition of Cabelas, Chic fil a, and Crispy Creme joining them recently. So much growth up this way! read more

As much as I travel I have started to think of Holiday Inn Express(HIE) as my "home away from home" they're consistently good, have really comfy beds and sheets and amentites I want. Holy Cow, the HIE in Kalispell might be even BETTER then my home! I arrived in Kalispell without a hotel room but checked to see if they had one in town, so of course I chose to go there. The decor and lobby are awesome, reminds me of some nice old but upscale hotels in Austin. Everything from the fixtures, the flatscreen, updated appliances (no rattling fridge here), and even a lighted make-up mirror were awesome and somehow seemed even a notch above the other HIE's I have stayed at. The front desk staff were so friendly and gave me a few goodies for being a gold priority member. With breakfast and a manager's reception (I thought these were just as Embassy Suites?) I was just way impressed. I'm not sure what the prices were in comparison to some of the other hotels in town (there's a hilton, hampton inn, red lion etc.) but if they're comparable in price to the HIE, defintely try it.
