Bro ordered a thali , them folks came out with leftovers and microwaved it and gave it me like it was a free food. The rice was cold, broken. The bread was hard. They charge me $20+ mind you. This place is a disgrace to nepali food. Please dont visit this trash place

    Chicken Chili Momo

The food here is a absolutely amazing! You can tell they have some skills cause the presentation is on point. I almost felt bad eating it until I had that first bite of Chicken Chili Momo... then it hit me how clean and present and balanced those flavors were. I cleaned that plate with some naan and would've licked it if I weren't afraid to embarrass myself.

5/5 -- Exceptional Hospitality, Delicious Food, and True Value…read more Indian Curry Lounge absolutely deserves five stars -- not just for the food, but for the incredible hospitality, service, and value that make this place stand out in Harrisburg. I'll be honest: the location isn't the most inviting, especially at night. Walking in felt a little unusual at first -- but the moment we stepped inside, the experience completely turned around. The staff here are genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. The chef himself even came out to talk to us, asked if everything was good, and shared his story. That personal touch really made the whole evening memorable. You can tell they care deeply about their guests. Now, the food -- fresh, flavorful, and made with care: * Noodles were made exactly as requested -- mild for my child -- and still packed with flavor. * Curries were rich and delicious without being overly oily or spicy. * Naan was fresh, light, and fluffy -- one of the better ones I've had in the area. * Dosa was crispy and simple but very satisfying with the accompanying chutneys. * Chili Paneer wasn't as spicy as I prefer, but the texture was spot-on -- crispy, well-coated, and flavorful. * Samosas were definitely worth ordering -- perfectly fried and nicely spiced. But the highlight of the entire meal was the Tokri Chaat. It came in these adorable bite-size, crispy edible baskets filled with chickpeas, chutneys, yogurt, and spices. Beautifully presented and even better in flavor -- a creative twist done perfectly. Between the warm hospitality, the thoughtful service, and the great-tasting food, Indian Curry Lounge is truly a gem. Even with the location being a little off-putting at first, the people inside make you feel at home instantly. If you're in the Harrisburg area and craving Indian food with heart behind it, give this place a try. Five stars well deserved.

I went here based on reviews and was hungry for indian food. My dinner, matar paneer, tasted really off. I ordered peshwari naan as well. Attached you can see a photo of what they call peshwari naan. So sad looking, nothing like any other indian restaurant where I've been. I tasted the naan and it was sad, wasn't horrid, but wasn't at all yummy. I opened it to find it's missing a lot of things. I only had a few bites of the paneer because it tasted like something was wrong with it. Later that night my stomach was not happy. If I were eating in there, I'd have returned everything. But, for a carry out order, I wasn't going to go back to return the food. I won't be going back here to try anything again.

Rumi isn't a restaurant--it's a teleportation device disguised as a dining room. One minute you're…read morejust hungry, the next you're wondering if you should start learning the language and cancel your other dinner plans for the rest of your life. Let's start strong: the baba ganoush was impeccable. Not "pretty good," not "I'd order it again"--impeccable. Creamy, smoky, confidently delicious, like it knew it was the best thing on the table and didn't need to brag. The lamb kabobs then showed up and completely stole the spotlight: tender, perfectly seasoned, and basically melting on contact. And yes, the white sauce comes on the side, which is ideal because it's so good you'll want to dip everything into it--kabobs, bread, possibly your dignity. The mango drink? Absolutely unhinged in the best way. One sip and I forgot what I ordered, where I parked, and what my personality was before this moment. "To die for" feels accurate, but also misleading because you'll want to stay alive long enough to order a second one. And then there's the service. I didn't feel like a customer--I felt like I'd been adopted. We were treated like family, friends, and students all at once, getting an enthusiastic, genuinely fascinating education about the food while being cared for like honored guests. Dining at Rumi feels like stepping into another country where the food is better, the people are warmer, and everyone is just thrilled you showed up. Come hungry. Leave full, happy, and slightly confused about why all restaurants aren't like this.

I placed an…read moreonline order for pickup and as I arrive I'm waiting for 5 minutes at the counter while the worker is on his phone talking to his friends. He finally greets me and asks what I ordered, he then goes to grab my food (which isn't even packed yet) and continues to stay on the phone for another couple minutes in front of me as he slowlyyy packs the food. He then forgets to include one rice and two naans that I paid for. I tell him he forgot the items and he then goes BACK on the phone for another couple minutes before trying to put the items in, which at this point I was too frustrated and didn't want to make a scene so I just left. Safe to say I won't be coming back especially if I have to wait 10 minutes to pick up an online order that's already prepared.

Tried Guras spice house yesterday for the first time and was actually very pleasantly surprised! My…read morehusband drives past here often for work so we decided to give it a try to see if it might be a good takeout place in the future. Ambiance 2/5: a little weird (game machines on the left of entryway when you come in, a "good vibes" neon sign with its lights off, doors a little run down) but the food is very delicious! And inexpensive (eg. a large serving of onion naan for ~$3)! The prices were so reasonable we ended up ordering way too much food. I would come back. It's its own building with a parking lot in front with plenty of spaces to park. Service: only one waitress who was manning both the register and serving all the tables. Service was a little slower since she was running everything but she was very friendly and working hard so we didn't mind. It seemed to be authentic as a lot of the other customers dining in were speaking Nepali! Food wise: My husband ordered the papadum (this is the dried lentil chips you sometimes see as appetizers at other restaurants--it it was served here with tamarind and I think mint chutney?). I'm not really a fan of papadum in general, but the sauces here were good. If you like it at other places you probably will like it here. I think this could probably be skipped (order something else as everything else we tried was quite good). House Muldani Soup: a delicious lentil soup. We were offered multiple spice options -- no, mild, medium, hot, or super hot. We picked mild which was a little too spicy for us bc it turns out we are still wimps to spice but still delicious. 4/5 Next we had the chicken biryani in mild spice level-- the chicken thigh meat was very tender and the rice well spiced. Large portions! It fed us both until we were stuffed and I'm eating it again today as leftovers -- still pretty good. It also came with cucumber raita (cucumbers in yogurt sauce) which was yummy as well and helped bring down the heat level and balance everything. 4/5 But the amazing standouts that really made Guras spice house a 5/5 overall was the incredible onion naan and malai kofta. They were DELICIOUS. This is the best naan I've ever had and it came in as a large flat bread cut into 4 quadrants -- with perfect texture and the onion flavor bursting forth. It tastes AMAZING when dipped into the malai kofta sauce -- which mind you was perfectly dreamy and creamy with a nice balance of tomato flavor. The homemade paneer dumplings were also so soft with a great texture, pairing perfectly with the sauce. Value: 5/5 - The total came out to be $42 or so for all this food and we were stuffed with plenty of leftovers. In summary, get the malai kofta and onion naan!! Also looking forward to trying the mango lassi in the future! (They also have rose water lassi which looked interesting as well)

At first, we were disappointed by the momos because the photos showed them as soup dumplings (similar in style to Chinese xiaolongbaos), so we were expecting them to be steamed and soupy inside, but it was actually just fried. However, it tasted really good with the sauce and spices they added! I would recommend it. The chicken tikka masala was also really rich in flavor and the curry was delicious. The interior had cool vibes and music videos playing and the service was great.
