EVERY TIME I COME TO THIS BANK I HAVE TO SIT IN LINE FOR 20+ mins. There's always a bunch of people…read moreworking in the building and the only time they bring a second teller is if the main teller is doing something complicated. And they try to sell me their terrible checking account but the only reason why I go in is for my work's account. I cannot tell you how many lunch breaks I've wasted sitting in that line. And every time I'm sitting there everyone around me is complaining about that line. There wasn't even a yelp account with this bank. I created it and I'm writing this while still in line! You wait, I won't be the only one to complain about that line of 5 people that takes 20 mins. They get 2 starts because most tellers are nice but management needs to step it up and hire another teller.

I thanked them and they gave me the money remaining in my account. They gave me all 100 dollar bills. Today I went back to see if I could switch a few 100 dollar bills for 20's. I was told no since I was no longer a customer. I was floored. I asked the teller if I could speak to the manager. The Teller Manager got involved and said that they wouldn't do it. It was against the banks policy and she follows the rules. Again, I was amazed at the poor service. As a 43 year former Bank of America Senior Vice President, I know BOA wouldn't have treated anyone like that. Especially a good customer up until yesterday. I had planned on opening a Personal Account but now I'll go to another bank in town. Very disappointed in Seaman's Bank.

Friendly, professional people help you out with whatever services you may need. No one turns their head, pretending to not see you! This makes it easy to get in & get out, particularly during the pandemic. At my local branch, the interior is still locked with the lobby ATM open. Twice now, while paused in what I was doing, bank personnel have opened the door to see if I needed assistance (i did). Just opened the door without me banging on it! Like - I was a customer who needed help! The ATM gives $10 bills, the employees are helpful & courteous and they give a decent rate of interest. My short wish list is checked off at CHB!

My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

I made a list and started calling and then I landed on Quincy Credit Union in Weymouth. Not only was it near me but the interest rate was amazing. Life was extremely hectic that week and I was lucky enough to deal with Mike Grady. He went above and beyond to make this fast and simple..even took the time to call my insurance company for me. I switched to SoFi online banking because this bank was so bad. They are so outdated, the app looks…read moreand works like it's from when apps were first created. You can't add your card to your apple wallet, you can scan a check into the app. It's all so outdated. My account went overdrawn while working to change things over to a new bank and they charge you for the fees...makes sense. One day I checked and they charged me 6 times at once. So I call and I tell the very rude lady on the phone that I'm taking care of it and I have already switched the bill to my new account. I'm not sure why they keep trying to take it out of this account but in the meantime could you help me stop these fees from coming out. She said no as quick and rude as possible. I've had other banks before so I know that usually there is something they can do. But I guess not Quincy credit union. They suck, their customer service sucks, the app sucks. Don't use this bank!!!
