The one & only positive thing that I can say (also why I gave 2 stars rather than 1) is that he responded to our initial inquiry quickly. Unfortunately, after that he showed nothing but rudeness and arrogance. When I pointed out a rather serious error that he had made on our mortgage application, he became argumentative. Furthermore, neither he, nor his processor sent any of the documents that we needed to complete for approval. When I reached out to him about that matter, he was once again rude and dismissive, telling me that I was wrong. While I cannot speak on other branches, I do not recommend contacting this location.

The staff is helpful and friendly and I have had no problems with just banking. The problem at North Easton is with the mortgage lending staff. I have made 3 appointments and been totally blown off twice, the final time being today to start the process . Today, Barbara neglected to even provide the courtesy of a phone call before I got there and was told she wasn't in the office but if I wanted to call... I went to another lender. I'd use this bank for anything but mortgage lending services as the staff cannot be bothered to even show up for a scheduled 1st appointment and won't give even the courtesy phone call leaving you in a lurch. 4 or so years ago I had the same experience w/ Tara who had an appointment to call and just never even bothered to do so. I don't think this bank wants loans from 1st time homebuyers .

You can't add your card to your apple wallet, you can scan a check into the app. It's all so outdated. My account went overdrawn while working to change things over to a new bank and they charge you for the fees...makes sense. One day I checked and they charged me 6 times at once. So I call and I tell the very rude lady on the phone that I'm taking care of it and I have already switched the bill to my new account. I'm not sure why they keep trying to take it out of this account but in the meantime could you help me stop these fees from coming out. She said no as quick and rude as possible. I've had other banks before so I know that usually there is something they can do. But I guess not Quincy credit union. They suck, their customer service sucks, the app sucks. Don't use this bank!!!

They were quick to help me set up what I needed, informative of my options, and understanding of my situation. While there I also saw compassion as another male employee filled up a dog bowl for a thirsty dog outside and compassion for parents who were worried that their child with special needs who couldn't control their volume was not in any way an issue. I would highly reccomend this bank to anyway based on principle, policy, and polite customer service. I will never bank anywhere else.

And I opened the account simply for convenience as the branches are spaced across the South Shore where I frequent. The best thing I have experienced here is the customer service. Friendly, professional people help you out with whatever services you may need. No one turns their head, pretending to not see you! This makes it easy to get in & get out, particularly during the pandemic. At my local branch, the interior is still locked with the lobby ATM open. Twice now, while paused in what I was doing, bank personnel have opened the door to see if I needed assistance (i did). Just opened the door without me banging on it! Like - I was a customer who needed help! The ATM gives $10 bills, the employees are helpful & courteous and they give a decent rate of interest. My short wish list is checked off at CHB!

What put me over the edge: On Friday, I found that my redecoration of my apartment had put me near my daily transaction limit. Fine, no problem, I understand those are in place in case your card is stolen, so I called in to raise it so I could make a plane ticket purchase. I had to call 6 times before someone picked up. He told me he'd have to check with the manager. After a hold for 7 min hold he came back and said that it would be lifted, for just the amount of the plane tickets, for 30 min. Excuse me? It's my account and also my money and my limit. In addition, I tried several times, and the manager had actually never executed the raise. (This is not the first time she has failed to help in a situation of mine.) Naturally, I inquired if I now couldn't use my card for a certain time. I was told that it would be 24 hrs until my card worked again. But being that they are closed on weekends, that meant Monday. So, cut off completely from my account for the entire weekend. I inquired if I could use ATM , and he said yes, I could use ATM. I went downstairs and the ATM rejected my card. I called back and was told it had to be a village bank ATM. Which of course is not convenient when I'm traveling for work. So, here I am, unable to use my credit card or an ATM at all. Oh, and they have started canceling all the orders I made on Friday, though they were below my limit. So, please, save yourself the trouble, go get a DCU account.
