I entered this fine establishment a potential customer; however, due to the incredible service and prime golfing course that leaves one incredulous, I plan to return -- not as a potential customer -- but as a returning customer. The service I received from "team leader" Stephanie Robb left me hopeful. The didactic, pedagogical atmosphere has clearly ingratiated itself amongst Stephanie's relentless, dialectic pursuit towards refining her eclectic customer service. Thank you Hinkles, for revolutionizing my understanding of adequate customer service -- I remain hopeful that you will continue to proselytize future associates at this establishment with a similar attitude and drive to assist future, forlorn cynics like myself. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! Visiting ABQ on a family vacation and thought this place would be fun. We played mini golf and on the 18th hole we were FORCED to leave because they closed at 10pm and it was 10pm exactly. They Refused to let even my kids finish the 18th hole. The course was poorly kept and covered in fire ants. I asked to speak with the manager, and the kids that were working (about 16 years old) went to the back to get him. His name is Jerry and he refused to come speak to me, instead sending the kids out to to tell me he was too busy and gave me a business card to call him. UNBELIEVABLE that the General Manager was so cowardly he had kids do his job. We will definitely never be back. read more

Hinkle hinkle hinkle. Aged and noisy, all of the rooms smell like an arcade- but that's half of the charm. Go kart racing is fun, for what it is and the nickle arcade can be hours of fun if you like playing older arcade games. (older, as in 90's, early 2000's) I would recommend Hinkle, there is a theater near by and lazer tag can be a lot of fun although I think that the matches are a bit short. Great for kids. In a shameless attempt at buying the affection of my evil step-children, I took them to Hinkle. I went on a weekend when it is the most expensive... ...mostly to prove to the mother of said evil step-children that I am still prosperous enough to mate with. It was a blast. The evil step-daughter climbed higher than I did on the wall the employees were discreet by only smirking behind my back. I appreciate the courtesy.I was unable to convince the employees to take off the speed governor on the go carts. ..."so I can lap these fools somethin' sick" I said. They were unsympathetic... ...something about "Safety". The evil step-son was eager to go play lazer tag. So was I. I was still quite emasculated by my evil step-daughter's ability to climb the wall higher than me. I needed to prove myself... ...preferably by pretend killing with harmless lasers willing toddlers, high schoolers, and their dates. I assume most parents have a mature gravity about them that prevents them from engaging in these childish games... ...but not us. We were the blue team. We beat the red team. Mostly by shooting all the wandering toddlers who, while not knowing what was going on (life or death struggle between good and evil) were still having a good time. My evil step-children now glanced in my general direction with something akin to mild interest. Mission Accomplished. Between the 4 of us we had a total of 47 quadrillion tickets. The kids divided the 4 plastic army men, super ball (overstatement), and stale candy all those tickets bought. Carnival economics 101, but good family fun! read more

This is a *huge* complex with *tons* of activities for kids and adults. It is pricey though, so this is a once-a-year place for us.

This is a really fun place. We didn't eat anything and the food didn't look that great so this is just about activities. Unfortunately we happened to be visiting ABQ during a winter storm so the bumper boats' lake was frozen and the mini golf courses were closed. However the bumper cars were outstanding. Best of all were the games. This place is not cheap by any stretch, but they have done something very smart. They have made the games winnable and actually have decent prizes to buy with the tickets. You can actually win the jackpots at this place. Everyone had a million tickets and was having a great time. The games are set to give close calls to the player. So for example my son was playing one of those big wheel spin games. He clearly landed just outside the 1000 ticket zone on the 4 ticket zone but the game gave him the jackpot. This happened to us all. It's so nice to have a place that isn't trying to nickel and dime you. My kids think this is the greatest place on earth. We spent a fortune but had a great day. Had a great time at Hinkle, for a fun date. Attendants were very nice and helpful, the girl that cooked are food was wonderfully pleasent and a hard worker. No single slice pizza, but burger and hot dog were still good and cooked to perfection. It was a Saturday night, so teenagers and kids were there, though parents kept a close eye on them. I paid $10 for the special they had for their arcade games, which was just what I wanted to spend. The games were fun at Nickel City (arcade games) won 800 tickets my first game on Deal or No Deal, which made me very excited, I won another jackpot of 500 tickets on another game. I ended up with around 2000 tickets, most of the "good" prizes were in the 4000-10000 ticket range, but still I walked away with an awesome Star Wars 3CPO bobble head and some sweet delicious candy! Next time I go, I would like to go to the other building across from Nickel City, which also has more games to play! All in all we had a great time and will go back to see if I still have good luck. read more

Just had the worst go kart experience of my life. I took my four year old for the first time and apparently I didn't have me left foot close enough to the brake. When I told them at the end that the car wasn't working right they told me the car was fine but they were controlling my car remotely because of where I had my foot placed! I went and complained to the manager and she said safety first! Lame read more

The pizza was disgusting, not pizza at all! The arcade games were great, Laser Tag was awesome we didn't get a chance for the virtual games or bumper cars, but we'll for sure check them out next time after we have dinner elsewhere. Worst Experience Ever. Extreme price increases. $3.00 fountain drink with no refills. Game prices have doubled and new card pricing is no longer includes free admission with $10.00 card. We usually buy summer passes and have birthday parties here but that is no longer happening. We will just go back to places like Peter Piper and Chuck E. Cheese. Place was nearly dead today when we went. Weekends are usually packed. This place is headed downhill fast. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Another reviewer mentioned that this place was more like a Vegas Casino for adults than an arcade for kids. I completely agree. I was extremely uncomfortable with the 3 men (employees?), including the security guard, who seemed to be blocking us from returning to a game that had really been paying out. The security guard kept scowling at us and looked very angry. If we had broken a rule I dont understand why he wouldnt say something. But my children were under control and it just felt like the employees didnt want kids there. As I was getting my family ready to leave the place, I turned back to make sure none of our belongings had been left behind and the security guard motioned angrily at me to wrap it up, as though he was afraid we were going back to the game. The next day, my family returned to the Hinkle arcade to use the rest of our game credits and the game now seemed to be broken and glitching. This place has absolutely no sense of customer service, but my kids still had fun and that is the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. read more

My absolute last time going to Hinkle Family Fun Center, ever. I decided to go to Hinkle to partake of what I thought was a good deal-the Spring Break Special. In actuality it really wasn't much of a deal at all, you just save $2 off the original price for the all day pass. In addition, you really don't get an all day pass. Many of the attractions that you pay for shut down 2 to 3 hours before closing time. Another thing, don't eat here, we ordered a pizza that was supposed to take 15 minutes, it took 40 minutes. My little 8 year old got scolded by the bumper boat lady, for getting on the boat for without her permission. After she kicked him off the ride, by the way there were only 3 other kids there, I asked her if a warning would have sufficed, she said no. Saw adults do the same thing on the same ride, and nothing was said, nor were they kicked off. I asked to speak to a manager, no one showed(waited 20 minutes). This place is overpriced and the customer service is awful. My boys and I will not be coming back, and I will tell my neighbor and friends the same. I won't be surprised if this place goes out of business soon. read more
