This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.

We started on the wood-area of the park, walking toward the creek and water falls at the Glen itself. The round trip of the hike was just a sliver more than 2 miles but it was an easy hike, with just two sections of up/down hill-climbing. Very beautiful and picturesque, with an amazing tunnel under the Amtrak tracks. Very much recommended for a short, morning hike if you don't mind the drive out.

They also have some pretty expansive butterfly fields, which, alas I was unable to fully appreciate because I didn't go there at quite the right time of year but that's okay. Great place to see a bunch of frogs, deer, and the occasional snake.

The terrain is relatively flat so it's good for folks of a wide variety of fitness levels. I think this would be a great place to introduce a young one to hiking as the trails aren't too long or challenging and there's a variety of stuff to look at. There are also a few benches scattered throughout to sit and take a break. There are quite a few knobby roots in the paths so I'd recommend shoes with sturdy soles. We didn't go out to the longest trail because we stopped on a whim and weren't wearing the best shoes. All the trails are well marked with white maps that show where you are and all the other trails so it's really easy to navigate. There are a few older signs that must have been there for a while and some of the trail names seem to have changed. So just ignore those. The first trail that spurs off the main trail leads to a little pond, but we couldn't really see it as it was obscured by cattails. Our favorite trail was the boardwalk trail as you're surrounded by all the cattails and it feels like the boardwalk just goes on forever. We saw some folks that looked like they were there to bird watch, so it might be a good place if you're into that. As it is a nature preserve, there are signs posted for no dogs and no biking. There's other info posted at the trailhead and some interesting posters as well.

Sporting fields nearby are usually populated by soccer teams, softball players or folks playing frisbee catch with their pooch. On the canalside, you can catch families out for a stroll, plein air artists or couples walking hand in hand. It's a picture perfect location with a distinct view of the canal.

I haven't had to leave a subpar rating in so long!…read more We came here for the trail, because the photos we found online looked beautiful. It's about 2 miles long and sounded like a perfect fit! We were sorely disappointed. At first I wasn't even sure that the trail WAS the trail. There was a sign clearly pointing it out, but the beginning was rocky, severely uneven, and overgrown. Okay! No problem. Maybe it was just a rough start? So we pushed on. But it got worse. You can tell that the land is often swampy, because they had a makeshift "boardwalk" laid out near the water. So mushy ground wasn't a problem. But the overgrowth got so bad that we opted to turn back after only about 10 minutes of walking. (See photos!) Based on our experience I would NOT recommend the trail, because it is not well maintained. But I did snap a picture of the lodge and the pavilion on the way out, and those seemed nice. So I gave it 2 stars for that!

It was about 5 miles long and had wonderful views. It has beautiful bridges and walking paths so you weren't walking in mud. Lots of nature views! Some of the trail goes behind some houses but it isn't terrible and is for a short stretch of the hike. The dogs absolutely love it. There are even sections were you can go up to the canal and the dogs can go swimming. Definitely coming back here sometime soon.

It is easy to miss from every entrance if you aren't careful. I've been exercising and walking the dog at Cobb's Hill for ~6 years and just this winter break finally made the walk down/up into the Grove. Accessible from Nunda Blvd OR the Reservoir, you can hike around the forest area and eventually be lead up to a gorgeous display of public water tower art. There are gorgeous murals here. Some of Rochester's top artists have left their mark and you can walk around both towers to see what pieces speak to you most. There were families exploring the day I was here, even though it was a chilly day. Don't wait many years to explore this part of the park like I did. Get over there and breathe in some fresh air!

Small dog section, large dog section and then the big community section. The small and large sections sections are nothing special basically pavement, However the community section is wonder!!! Thee is a huge pond in the middle with a fountain so dogs like to swim the and play fetch in the water. I have been in this pond many years ago to teach my dog how to swim. Around the pond is a large walking trail that you can walk or sit along while you let your dog roam free and make new pals ! If your dog likes the water this will be your favorite dog park too !!

I hardly see cars parked there and it's never busy like corbets glenn.
