I am not someone who really ever takes the time to write a review but when you receive extraordinary service or lack thereof, in today's world, this becomes the standard of which people first look at. As an architect, I have many choices of where we could buy stone for our new patio, but having met Holden Hipps during COVID, we felt the selection and hopefully the service by Hipps would warrant choosing them. We finally closed on the "forever" home and the patio stone my wife and I liked best, was only available through Hipps. I reached out to Holden and he was extremely responsive in verifying the availability and the cost. Within a week, the stone was delivered and neatly stockpiled for my landscape contractor. Holden kept me updated every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about how smoothly this went, especially in today's world of uncertainty in purchasing anything. Chad Goodman at Hipps Stone did a phenomenal job of hauling and delivering--and spreading--gravel for us. Our site was in a particularly challenging location that required him to nimbly back his dump truck up a steep, winding slope. He is an incredibly skilled driver, and he even spread the gravel smoothly across the area, saving us a lot of work. Gotta ask for CHAD the guy is the Picasso of spreading stone out of the bed of a truck. He is like an artist he'll be immortalized in the great annals of history as a real craftsman.. If you want to get an in on reserving Chad to spread your stone when you buy it from Hipps you'll have to go through his daughter Miranda, her professionalism and kindness are only matched by Chads skill behind the wheel of his dump truck. He had no problem navigating the hill and was able to skillfully deposit the rocks right where I needed them. Very easy to do business with. Krystal was very responsive when I called her and helped me order the right stone over the phone (it was perfect). The truck arrived on time with Chad, the driver, calling me about 10 minutes before he arrived. Chad needed to back the truck down the road for about 75 yards and then placed the stone exactly as needed. Both Krystal and Chad were communicative and add so much value to their business! I had Hippsstone deliver 24 yards oh mulch a couple of weeks ago and 6 yards of mulch today. I needed it delivered at a particular time late Friday Afternoons.
