Maxwell works with excellent tile installers and cabinet makers, and we are thrilled with the end result. Our bathroom not only looks fantastic, but Maxwell was very thorough in making sure all the quirks that had gone into prior renovations of our 1909 home were fixed, and we feel so much better about the quality of our home than we did prior to construction. Maxwell was consistently excellent at communication, and was calm and kind with all of our questions and minor changes that came up on our end during the process. Everything came in on-budget and on-time, with no surprises. We wish we had more renovation needs, because we would love to work with Greenlight again. In July 2025, we had Maxwell and his team back to build an exterior deck/set of stairs, move a dryer vent, and build a wisteria trellis. Maxwell was very responsive, as usual, and was able to fit us into his schedule. The crew cleaned up thoroughly everday and minimized any disruption to our yard. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process, and everything was completed just as we wanted it, at a fair price.

The tilers, plumbers, and electricians Maxwell brought in were all excellent, and gave us confidence that we'll never have to redo the bathroom again. Rip City Construction (RCC) recently remodeled our bathroom, breaking out an ancient cast iron…read morebathtub, tearing out the floor and walls and then installing a glass enclosed shower, a vanity, new light fixtures, a medicine cabinet and a sink with faucet. In addition, the walls and floor were expertly tiled. Our house is a hundred years old so everything took an extra effort. RCC organized the demolition, construction and refinishing, ensuring the remodel was completed on time and within budget. Because close attention was paid to details, the end result was perfect and beautiful. They covered the hard wood floors and were boot covers. He did three closets in about 5 hours. From the beginning, we never intended to work with Andrew on a full kitchen remodel. This is why we…read morehad him revise the original contract, explicitly changing the scope from a full remodel to strictly non-buildable design development. We hired him and his designer solely to draft the plans. We had no obligation to move forward with remodel portion of our project. The "time and materials pre-construction work" was supposed to reflect the non-buildable design details discussed 3 separate time including at our group meeting with the designer. The plans delivered didn't match the design elements we talked about several times for the "time and materials" contract. Andrew describes the design process, "He'll (speaking of the engineer) likely want to take that (plans that Andrew's designer creates) and do a site visit as well to specify the required beams/posts." So he was very aware that we wanted the beams and post redone and mocked up the plans. "(Andrew's designer) will build the model on her computer while we're there and we can talk through it and see it as we iterate on design decisions." Which didn't happen but we were flexible and assumed we didn't need to micromanage the mock up and they would act on good faith to deliver the plans with the details we discussed. Andrew isn't being honest here - We emailed 3 times and talked to him on the phone to state that we would provide feedback and address invoice as soon as possible for we had a family issue come up. We paid the invoice less than 2 months after you sent the invoice - Invoice sent 9/11 and paid 11/7. By email, he stated he can be somewhat flexible with payment dates. As well as on the invoice it states "no rush on our end". By not disputing the quality of the delivered work, Andrew clearly acknowledges that the blueprints lack the detailed specifications we repeatedly outlined in three separate meetings. Rather than correct the errors with integrity, he intended to charge an additional 7.5 hours just to fix mistakes in the original plans. That's unacceptable--we hired Andrew to deliver the correct plans from the start, not to pay extra for what was already agreed upon. We just want to receive the plans we discussed so we can move forward and update our review to a amicable experience.

negligent, cheap, corner cutting, vindictive, poor workmanship, messy, ableist, racist and…read morehomophobic my house flooded right after I had spine surgery last fall. after remediation I hired these guys to rebuild my gutted house. They made an oversize bid for work that did not need to be done to jack up the price, and my insurance allowed the fees, but they cut corners everywhere they could and did not do the work that was needed. I had to call them out on it so many times it became a daily review of the work to make sure it wasn't shoddy. they abandoned the job for a full month and after many attempts to reach the foreman, I called the owner to complain. They stated they were waiting on tiles, but I still didn't have walls in my kitchen and the drywall was ready to go. My kitchen floor sags and the marmoleum is cut all over in weird places. the trim is falling off. there are many patches left where they didn't paint the walls. I am constantly scraping caulking off of walls and trim where it wasn't cleaned up. there is no insulation in the outside walls. they didn't reattach doors. they just left one day. I don't speak Russian by my phone can translate and some of the workers were quite cruel about my disability and my gender identity, as well as racist towards other people. -000/10 do not recommend.
