I hired ASD for a complex kitchen countertop and backsplash project after seeing their stunning backlit Crystallo stone installation in a Street of Dreams project. My project entailed a backlit island, multiple cutouts and a curved wall structure. From my first conversation with Marina, one of the owners, I knew I was in excellent hands. She was exceptionally customer-focused, providing multiple updated quotations as my project evolved and offering thoughtful guidance on stone selection and other design decisions. She was patient, knowledgeable, and never tired of my many questions. When I found my Crystallo Quartzite at MSI, Marina offered to pick it up and store it for m and held it for more than two years while I finalized my cabinetry and overall kitchen design. Throughout that time, she checked in kindly and never once showed frustration or impatience. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. ASD's fabrication team is among the best I have encountered. They beautifully fabricated the various pieces of my Crystallo Quartzite, which is an exceptionally delicate and translucent stone. Eduardo and Leo in the fabrication shop were outstanding. They took the time to provide samples, review templates, and patiently create multiple edge samples so I could make an informed decision. Eduardo was nearly ready to leave for the day when I asked for one more edge sample, and he graciously made it without hesitation. It is rare to find professionals who are so genuinely committed to customer satisfaction, and Eduardo exemplified that level of dedication. The installation crew was equally fantastic. They worked diligently, took great pride in their craftsmanship, and were fully invested in delivering the level of quality I was hoping for. Lim, the lead installer, was polite, friendly, and consistently positive throughout the process. The install crew including Juan, Geo, Ivan, and several others--put tremendous care into shaping the edges and polishing the seams to perfection on a very challenging quartzite. Their seam-polishing technique is truly world-class. ASD allowed them to take the time needed to perfect the results unlike other fabricators who rush through projects to maximize ROI. They stayed up late to clean and seal the stone thoroughly before they left. ASD also designed and installed my backlit island waterfall, and the final result is absolutely gorgeous. They artistically assembled slivers of the quartzite to cover my curved wall for a stunning look! Just as importantly, they stand behind their work and assured me they would be available if I noticed any issues after the installation was complete. I highly recommend Artistic Stone Design for any stone fabrication project. Their artistry, professionalism, patience, and commitment to quality are exceptional. Anton and his crew exceeded our hopes and requirements. This was a small project to update a small guest bathroom. The original contract was clear, clean, and Anton abided by all terms. We found the price to be fair and reasonable. Anton connected us with a collaborative designer with whom he works closely (Bonnie Johnson, Spruce & Steel Design). Bonnie added a synergistic fit with Anton, providing him with critical detailed drawings and managed us (the clients) relative to design choices such as tile, lighting, hardware fixtures, etc. What stood out as exceptional was the quality of the crew and the work each of them did. They arrived on time and worked incredibly hard. Impressive was their attention to small details that shaped the outcome. BUYER BEWARE! This company has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. I purchased…read morecarpet for 2 bedrooms and rubber flooring for my exercise room in early July. Was given two different install dates for each floor type. First install was for the rubber floor which happened without issue. Stan was my installer and he was GREAT. If that was the only installation, my review would be five stars. Installation of the carpet was to happen on 7/28 between 8am - 9am. Received a call at 9am that the installers truck broke down and he'd be here at noon. Noon comes and go without anyone showing up OR an update. Called them around 1pm and they say they found an installer and he's on his way. A crew of two guys show up, do a walk of the rooms & inform us we need to remove everything out of the closet due to the built-in inside the closet. We were told by the estimator/owner when we got a quote we could leave everything on the top rod of the closet, hence why we didn't remove everything. My husband starts pulling everything out of the closet & asking the installer questions about the installation inside the closet. He was frustrated that the plan changed but he's moving clothes out. The installers walk out without a word and never return. We didn't know what was going on so we call the store & they didn't seem to know either. Find out later the installer was "offended" by my husband. For what? No one knows. At this point I am offended by the installers unprofessionalism and disrespect. My husband did not yell, curse, or do anything that should to walk off the job. Gilford's response is they were taking him to a "nice dinner" to talk to him and would work on getting an installer for the following day and they'd call us with an update. They didn't and we ended up having to call them, again. Fast forward to Tuesday. We called around 11am because no update. They tell us an installer will be out "between 12 and 1" after another job. That time comes and goes without an installer or update. Text them for an update: he's finishing up and he's coming today. At 4:00pm when no update or installer shows, I call the office to be met with more rudeness and unprofessionalism. Rob starts yelling, talking over me, told me he doesn't care AND hung up on me. Apparently he didn't like that I'm frustrated with their missed commitments, lack of communication and unprofessionalism. Told me I'm "flipping out". I don't know who wouldn't be frustrated with the situation. Rob doesn't know how to deal with customers or de-escalate situations and made it worse than it already was. Installers show up at 5pm and don't leave until after 10pm. Still have to put everything back and set up beds in order to sleep so we don't go to bed until nearly midnight and I have to work the next day. Why wasn't our installation prioritized for that day since it was missed on the promised day? Why were we put off until the LAST appointment instead of the first? Again, no customer service. I've waited 6 weeks since our installation before writing this review to see if they'd reach out and apologize for their screw up and Rob's disgusting response towards me. Nothing. Not an email or a phone call. When the 2nd set of installers heard the story, they apologized, which I appreciated, but felt it was the owners that should have been making the apology. It was the first time these installers worked for Gilford. Why do they recognize the behavior was unprofessional but not the owners? I have more floors to do but I'll be looking for a company that doesn't berate customers when they want an update on missed appointments. Rob made it clear when he said he "doesn't care". It shows and I'll be giving my money to a company that does care.
