It was determined that four major cross beams required replacement. Each cross beam is 6 3/4 inch X 19 1/2 inch X 32 feet long. It is an enormous undertaking to remove the old beam and install the new beams. The HOA started with 10 potential contractors. Many self-selected out due to the complexity. Ultimately, it became clear that Apex was the preferred contractor. Kurtis, who did the estimating, was always clear and honest in explaining the plan and provided detailed estimates. He searched for ways to reduce costs. Because they knew what needed to be done and had the skills, Apex was the lowest bid. The project was managed by Ben. He is an excellent communicator and very detailed to ensure the project was done safely, successfully, on time and on budget with a minimum of disruption to the occupants. Alex, the foreman, ensured everything was on track and he'd often pitch in to do work to keep costs down. The crew was very respectful of the owners. They did an outstanding job.
