I had a tree fall into my roof and the minute I called these gentlemen, they were on the job cleaning up, and getting it off my roof. This is a wonderfully run family business. They are so polite, and we're 6 weeks behind in jobs. But they put me to the top to take care of my needs. They leave your property looking so neat, as if they were never here. I have had this company out a couple of times to do some trims and a couple of removals. They were always professional, clean up after they are finished, and the jobs were done quickly. The last job I had them do was to fall 3 old eucalyptus trees. They were about 30 years old about 3 to 4 feet across and over 100 feet tall. They had caused a few issues and it was time for them to go. Keith and the crew fell those trees in one spot. They didnt damage any buildings or objects in the area. It was amazing to watch. My family has been doing business with His Tree Service for over 10 years. Brian Bawcum (the owner and manager) is a pleasure to work with. He is an honest, straightforward man who stands by his work. Brian and his crew have done a variety of jobs for us through the years including removal of large trees, pruning small and large trees, and removal (grinding) of stumps. The crew does its work quickly and professionally. His Tree Service owns all of the gear they need including industrial chippers, saws, ladders, and safety harnesses. This seems to make things go more smoothly since they are not dependent on renting anything. Their prices are reasonable considering the quality of the work they do. Brian is quite flexible with adjusting the scope of the work as needed. For example, he often will give us a bid that includes all clean up (every twig and branch chipped and hauled away) or where we can take care of the minor clean-up duties to reduce the cost. We've never been disappointed with their work. They are reliable and really know trees and how to care for them. read more

The selling point for me was knowing the Keith (who conducted the estimate), would be accompanying the team to my residence for the completion of the project..From the estimate, to the actual project, the project managers (Mark, Keith, and Joel) and the crew utilized all safety measures; wearing masks and protective gear. They were timely, pleasant, professional, HONEST, addressed ALL of my concerns, and, ensured that the crew, myself, and my neighborhood residents were protected from debris and the equipment. I 'got a kick out of' watching the process from inside of my home (especially the crew member on the cherry picker). They exceeded all of my expectations! Was quoted a price to top 4 trees based on the fact that there was a shelter port right next to them. The owner then said he wanted to buy the shelter port. Then he expressed his concern with hiw much taking it down would cost so despite my just having surgery i did that. Big job. Well he didnt buy it. And when i received the bill it was for the full price including the sheter port being in the way! Stay away from this company at all costs. read more

I have never had trees removed before so asked a farmer friend for a referral and he recommended His Tree Service. So glad he referred me to them! Although I have nothing to compare their service to I can't imagine anyone could do a better job. They removed 2 large trees from my backyard and ground the stumps; they were extremely professional, friendly and efficient. They had both trees removed, stumps ground and complete clean up all done in 3 hours. I hosed things down once they left but that was for my own peace of mind and wasn't truly necessary. The entire crew was friendly and helpful. Even replaced a previously cracked roof tile while they were up in the tree. I liked these guys and the work they did. We have used His Tree Service for many years and I would recommend them to anyone who wants the best possible service. They are extremely professional and competent . We have many trees (which I love), and I wouldn't trust them to any other tree service. They are able to trim a tree and enhance its beauty. There are many tree services who will come out and "hack" your trees, but with His Tree Service they understand the "art" of their trade. This man, who I believe to be the owner of the business, came out to cut branches of a tree for my landlord in the backyard of the house directly in front of my apartment. I live in a duplex with a long drive, that is between the front houses backyard and the duplex. He parked his truck with cherry picker in my drive, directly behind my car (which means he could see it) and after notifying my neighbor why he was there, he began working. While I agree that my landlord should have informed me that he was coming, (trust me, it is a matter I am taking up with her) why could he not have walked a few feet farther to advise me as well? When I came out to leave for work, the owner - who was up in the cherry picker - became rude with me, immediately. He first said "what, you can't make it?" While I do own a small vehicle, there was maybe 10 feet for me to pull out of the carport and I had my neighbors car on one side and the wall of my apartment on the other to contend with. When I told him no, he stated that he "could make it"... I replied that was nice, but I couldn't. He then stated "Give me 10 minutes", to which I replied "No, I will be late for work" (I was working San Ramon - a 2 hour drive with minimal traffic - that day because I was leaving from work directly to San Jose for the next 2 days) I further stated that had I been informed he was coming, I could have moved the car before he started. To which he replied "Well, I told your neighbor!" This is when I became weary of his 'customer service technique' and informed him that there was a WALL between us and we didn't live together. He sparred back with "well it's going to take some time to move the truck!" and I said "it'll take longer if you keeping complaining about it" and I got into my car. I watched him from my rear view and side mirrors, talking to himself up in the cherry picker and suddenly he 'spear chucked' the branch cutter down to his assistant, who of course, didn't even attempt to catch the sharp tool. It then hit my neighbors car on the front left top fender causing damage. I heard the assistant call up to him "I hope you have insurance!" to which the man in the cherry picker said "there's no damage" and the assistant looked again and replied "yes.... Yes there IS". I stepped out of my car and looked. I then immediately text my neighbor with this mans Company name and phone number. After I had finally left, my sons girlfriends friend pulled up to pick her up and she noticed the owner standing directly in front of my Grand Daughters open bedroom window smoking a cigarette. She got out of her vehicle and said "there is a 2 year old child in that bedroom, please don't smoke there!" and the owner got rude with her and stepped forward about ONE step. I'm with Steven in his review, I wish they had the option for NO stars, I only gave him the 1 so I could post my review. It is my opinion this man cares more for money than he does for clients, customers or people in general..... I highly suggest that NO ONE hire him! read more

One morning, after it had been raining hard for a while, my husband left for work in the morning and he heard our old tree crack that was between the street and the sidewalk and noticed it had started to fall due to the wet ground and the fact that it was an old city tree. Needless to say, it became an emergency situation! We called around to find a tree service (even 24 hour services) and finally got a hold of His tree service. His tree service was wonderful, very professional and quick to assess the situation. The took down the tree with no issues and we are very grateful that they were able to come out and handle the situation.
