Carter and Ethan did a fantastic job! They were on time and got right to work. I needed 5 trees planted in rocky soil. They had access to the tools they needed and got the trees planted quickly on a very warm day. Since there was time left, they approached me about other projects and were happy to pull some weeds for the remaining time. Throughout the entire process from the initial request for a quote, to confirming the work needed, to the pricing, scheduling, and finally the actual day for the project to happen, there was clear & consistent & professional communication via both email & text. As for my team of two onsite workers, both team lead Anthony & his co-worker Gavin, were on time, extremely hardworking & thorough. Anthony was professional & both were friendly & outgoing. The landscaping cleanup of our sorely overgrown side & front areas around our house has been transformed thanks to their efforts. They cleaned up everything & brought all the cuttings (10+ bags & 2 garbage cans!) where we requested so we could dispose of them (thereby saving a little $). Quick and efficient to schedule. However, significant scratching to our kitchen cabinets (new remodel) occurred during the move (which they would have known about but didn't mention). They were pretty inexperienced. Wish we had spent a little more on a professional mover. His Workmanship (Eric) won't acknowledge or reply to my emails about the damage (with photos) and request to file a claim. My guess for the lack of a response is that they don't carry insurance. We had them out for 3 hours today to do some weeding. We have a country lot and landscaping beds that had gotten overrun with thistle and other weeds that were a real pain to pull. The two guys arrived on time (to the minute), went over my priorities, and went to work. They got a ton done, at a fair price, and walked through it all to ensure that I was happy with the work before being paid. Within minutes of them leaving, the owner was in contact with me to check that all the work was satisfactory. The first spring crew came yesterday. It's so easy because Eric schedules them even on short notice. When they come they need very little instruction and no oversight. Completely diligent and professional. For the first of many springs, I will be able to rejoice in the new life, new colors, new plants. The pond looks amazing, as if fall and winter never happened. The birds are enjoying it too! The clearing around the boulder walls looks great! I can see many wildflowers coming up in my backyard and be grateful for that the wildflowers are not entangled with leaves and weeds. In the front yard, believe me, my neighbors, like the last time your crew came, will be complimenting our yard instead of cringing at the sight of it! I am grateful that I had the good fortune to find your landscape business last year. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! They don't give an address or phone number in their craiglist ads or on their website (but the Manager, Eric Pfeffer, uses the number (612) 512-5623 in Minneapolis). When trying to schedule some "rakers", he told me that students for the Madison area are only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He also told me I wasn't a good match for their services, since I didn't live at the address (but offered to drive over to pay them in cash when they were done - which is what they require). On Monday 8/9/2021 His Workmanship sent two labor helpers to load and unload a Uhaul truck which was to take 2 hours to load and 2 hours to unload. Labor help was provided 2 dollies and 2 furniture dollies and it took 2 of them a total of 4 hours to load. Helpers called to say that they would be late arriving and upon arrival did not notify me that they were on site until I called the company to inquire. Website says college age students. I had a father and son team who showed up. Neither were college or professional as they had no idea how to properly load a truck using the provided equipment. The father said he wasn't feeling well and had spoken with Eric to let him know. The father then began throwing up in my bathroom. I then called Eric to report and ask for new helpers, and was told that the father said that he felt better and could continue, I expressed my concern to Eric who in turn said that if I felt uncomfortable with them continuing, that he could send them home and that I would not have any help to complete my move. At this point the move had to be done that day. When unloading the father let me know that it was going to take another 4 hours for them to unload. At this point they had exceeded the agreed upon time and I had to hire 2 additional helpers (not with His workmanship) to unload the truck quickly. I paid His Workmanship a total of $730 due to them requiring payment before continuing. I have reached out to them to let them know that I am seeking reimbursment of the out of pocket additional expense for additional labor of $285 that I paid to complete the job. This has caused me tremendous emotional distress and anxiety as I am a 61 year old grandmother who has never been treated this way or had such a bad experience moving. I am a Christian woman and used this service as I belived His workmanship was also Christian based based on their website. They continue to send me surveys and to ask for friend referrals but will not respond back regarding doing the right thing and refund me the out of pocket expenses. I let them know that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and other outlets letting others know about my experience with this company and to beware. When others ask how the movers were and how my move went, after hearing the above story are in shock and agree to the out of pocket request as doing the right thing and hope that they will honor this. Any help or assistance in getting them to do the right thing would be greatly appreciated. read more

Hired His Workmanship to deal with some terribly overgrown perennial gardens. Arrived promptly and went over what I wanted done. The men were very polite and worked hard. They trimmed the bushes that I asked and did a good job. They worked extremely hard, but the work in the gardens was less then satisfactory. It was a miserably hot and humid day and because of the weather I was not outside with them. I was led to believe they knew a weed from a flower and that was not correct, over half of my perennials are now gone. Nor did they pull any weeds, but just cut them off at the ground. The most irritating thing is when I wrote to Eric, the main contact sharing my concerns, I only heard from him asking for referrals, but never addressed my problem. Needless to say I would not recommend them for gardening, unless you are willing to work side by side with them and educate them in the difference between a weed and a flower. read more

Very easy to work with, very quick responses to messages and the person that came to help us was amazing. Took directions from us and even passed on some ideas that were really helpful. The only thing that was a little strange was being told on top of paying them in cash we had to give an extra $10 for gas. Found it a little rude, as I don't get paid extra cash to go to work plus the guy who helped us had a 2 mile drive to our house. All in all good experience read more
