During my first visit the Dr ordered a full allergy blood panel to figure out what's going on with my child. The very next day, I went to lab corp (where my child had a traumatic experience due to the phlebotomist not being experienced on taking blood from a toddler). As an engaged parent, I called the office a week after to see if the office received the results and was told not yet. A month later, my husband and I are unknowingly believing to finally receiving some answers, all to be told, the office never received the results. This was extremely frustrating and disheartening to hear, especially because we wanted to know what's going on plus, we took off of work for no reason. Later, I received a bill from that visit and called the billing office to inquire as no services were rendered; I followed back up again because no one ever followed back up with me after my first interaction with billing and the billing office informed me that the office was not responding to their messages regarding my case despite sending multiple emails so it was out of their hands and I was told to call the office directly. I called to request the service code and spoke to Angie, who was extremely rude and unprofessional and just lacked basic customer service skills stating that even if the Dr saw the patient for 5 secs or 5 minutes, that they still have the right to bill for the visit. Despite our unfortunate circumstances, she continued to talk over me and say she would advise the billing office to still charge me in full because she was the one who makes that decision. In conclusion, I have never been spoken to that way in my life. I was polite the entire phone conversation because all I asked for was the charge code and to be transferred to the billing department. Due to her nasty interaction with me, I will never bring my child back. This is a very much money hungry practice because at the end of the day it's a less than $200 bill; something that truly should be written off completely due to her behavior. She called me back minutes later to rectify the bill in question after being disrespectful. I only answered because I anticipated it to be the doctor or her supervisor because I can imagine someone hearing her loudly speaking to a client in a distasteful manner in that small office. No apologies for how she was speaking to me and no remorse but at this point, nothing is needed now. At the end of the day, I'm just a parent who still doesn't have an diagnosis for their child. I recommend going to another practice to get your medical questions answered, quality customer service and human decency when it comes to supporting families who are seeking help for their child's health.

I saw Dr. Chin first at her Graceful Smiles location in Springfield, but her hours were more and more limited there. So I switched to her Rose Hill location with Dr. Mestas. Dr. Chin is a caring, highly intelligent dentist who understood that many of my issues (grinding, fractures, jaw pain) were due to my overall jaw/tooth structure, so I agreed to an occlusal analysis. I do not regret this investment one bit! After Dr. Chin reshaped my teeth, I no longer grind because my teeth all "hit" at the same time. So all the fractures that she's been watching, all the decay that she's been cleaning out and covering with crowns, and the ONE TOOTH that I went in for originally, that is now extracted and waiting for a new implant .... all of this has been done with kindness and expertise that has helped immensely - see, I'm a dental phobic. It took a LOT to get me in that chair for all these procedures, but Dr. Chin does wonderful work, thoroughly and with consideration for the patient. And we all know that a doctor's office does not end with the doctor; the front desk must also carry a lot of the treatment logistics and patient needs - insurance, prescriptions, etc. Mariela has been very helpful, and knows her stuff. I always feel as though I'm in good hands, even while I feel overwhelmed by insurance. Mariela has handled everything from insurance claims to prescriptions for Valium (like I said, phobic) to reassuring me that I really, really should just come in as scheduled instead of wimping out because I'm terrified. :) My teeth are better, though there's still a crown or three and an implant to get through. But Dr. Chin has been able to explain the whys and hows in a way that makes sense, and she's improved my overall oral health in a relatively short time. Highly recommend! Whether you see her in Rose Hill at Dr. Mestas' office, with Mariela at the front desk, or at Graceful Smiles in Springfield with Mayra at the desk (she's amazing and deserves her own Yelp review!), you will be in good hands with Dr. Chin and staff.

I found him to be…read moreattentive and he did not rush me in my office appointments before the surgery and he made sure I understood the procedure and the possibility of the other procedure just in case the "swallow test" i had to do showed that the Linx would not work, but fortunately it would. The surgery went well, and he visited me before my release the next morning and I've had one follow up so far since. What's the point of annual check up and ask me if I have questions. Never like this in my previous dr office. So on some visit. I said no questions just to see and it still send me $30 co-pay. There is something wrong with the way you claim for annual visit billing. Don't make excuses when u claim it wrong to the insurance and don't even look into your process.

I don't have any problems getting my son an appointment. They also have wanted to always put my child's best first, despite some outside parties being less than exemplary or mature in an adult sense. Yet sometimes one must deal with life as is, smile, laugh, and just do the best regardless to be a caring person and relatively responsible citizen. The doctors and nurses here care. My appreciation for their honesty, and also being approachable. Working with children professionally, some pediatrician offices are impersonal or not very connected.
