The Historic Bar Room hosted Dolly's 13 annual musicians reunion and benefit for the USO and Toys for Tots on December 8th 2024. This was an all day event with 20+ bands playing at three different stage areas from 12pm until 11:30pm. There was probably a few hundred people that passed through here during the day so it was a fantastic turn out. There was a 50/50 drawing, multiple raffle prizes, food tucks, a full bar, ice cold beer, tasty cigars, great friends, and plenty of exceptional music. Drinks were pricey, roughly $10 for a whiskey and Ginger. I opted for beer and it still cost me $7-$8. Fortunately the cigar bar was selling ice cold Modelo's for $6 each, so they got most of my drink money. Staff here were very friendly and they did a great job supporting event volunteers. One major issue was there was only one male and one female restroom for several hundred people. Definitely need to order porto-lets for an event like this. They have a nice bar and cigar bar. Outside there is plenty of seating and space to spread out there is also a covered area outside on the patio with plenty of space for a permanent stage. The Historic Bar Room is a short walking distance from Reiter Park and Alestone Brewing so it's in a prime location when events are taking place at the park. I think they'll do very well for themselves if they market the business wisely during events in the area (i.e., art shows, Independence Day, Farmer's market). All-n-all, it's a great spot to stop if you in the area. I look forward to returning for another event soon.

We attended a event here December 8, 2024. This was my first time here. Small bar with very large outdoor seating area, perfect for big events. I liked the couches with the cloth cushions. They had a stage and my friend Kris put up his lighting system which was awesome! Sound was good for the bands. I also liked the little cigar bar connected to the Historical bar, cozy and nice, I wish they offered smaller cigars for women. All they had was the big fat ones. The only con I have about this place is the prices of the drinks. I don't know if they made them higher that day because it was a big event? The cost for a Tito's vodka and soda was $10. Plus Tip. Served in a red solo cup so nothing special. We ended up staying 8 hours at this event so it could get quite costly if we continued with the $10 drinks. We ended up switching to drinking beer at the cigar bar where they offered Modelo for $6. Plenty of parking on the right side of the bar. Again a great place to have a event because they do have a large seating area with cover. They don't serve food but they do have food trucks.

We went for a lemon drop martini event advertised on Facebook. The bartender was great, the drinks were inexpensive and good, and the place is decorated nicely, with Instagram photo ops. I would like to mention though that the Facebook event stated that they opened at 2, but they were in fact closed and do not open until 4. So, we had to leave and come back at 4, which was a disappointment and hassle.

We stopped in today and had the best experience. I saw the reviews and decided to try it. We were welcomed by the manager, Nina....she was amazing. She made the best Lemon drop and Lychee martini! Also had a very unique tasting Moscow mule with blueberries and a hit of lavender!!!She is a pro at making craft cocktails....she told us about all the fresh ingredients they use in all their cocktails. We can't wait to come back. The drink specials are amazing. We will be there tomorrow for the bloody mary specials. This is our favorite new find!!! LOVE IT

It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back. One thing I really love is how clean it always is. You can tell they take pride in the place. The patrons feel like neighbors, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it's easy to settle in and enjoy yourself. And the kitchen stays open late, which is a lifesaver for those of us who work nights and want something delicious that isn't fast food -- a real sit-down spot with good vibes, good food, and good people. We can be a wild group and our server jived with us perfectly, which we appreciate. The spinach dip and chips were delicious, I believe we ordered two sets of this appetizer. We ordered regular stuffed mushrooms and an order of their crab stuffed mushrooms which were excellent. We ordered Onion Rings, fried calamari, and the Tex-Mex Eggrolls, which were all freshly fried and delicious. For my entrée I went with the full rack of ribs, a side of skewered shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The ribs were super tender and all of the sides were cooked perfectly and had plenty of great flavor. I ordered one of their holiday drink specials, the Cookie Butter Old Fashioned but ended up switching to a traditional old fashioned because this one was a bit too sweet for me. I also closed out my meal with an Espresso Martini which was excellent. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and there were plenty of leftovers to go around for those that wanted them. We usually go to Texas Roadhouse for our holiday celebration but they don't have tables big enough for larger groups which means we will have to sit a two separate tables. This year we wanted to try something different and Duffy's worked out perfectly. Great Job Duffy's, we will be back!

The parking situation isn't the best, there's very limited parking in the front lot of the brewery but there is a lot behind the building if it's full, and it can get full so just be prepared to walk a bit if it's busy. Inside, there's a solid amount of seating with a relaxed, casual vibe. They also have games you can play while hanging out, which makes it a great place to spend a couple hours with friends. What really stands out is the selection. They have a huge variety of beers (something for everyone), plus ciders, non-alcoholic options, and even soda. There's a wing spot just a few doors down that makes it super convenient to grab something and bring it back. They also host events throughout the week, my personal favorite is Wednesday night bingo.
