The parking situation isn't the best, there's very limited parking in the front lot of the brewery but there is a lot behind the building if it's full, and it can get full so just be prepared to walk a bit if it's busy. Inside, there's a solid amount of seating with a relaxed, casual vibe. They also have games you can play while hanging out, which makes it a great place to spend a couple hours with friends. What really stands out is the selection. They have a huge variety of beers (something for everyone), plus ciders, non-alcoholic options, and even soda. It's one of those places where everyone in your group will be able to find something they like. They don't serve food, but you're allowed to bring your own, which is a big plus. There's a wing spot just a few doors down that makes it super convenient to grab something and bring it back. They also host events throughout the week, my personal favorite is Wednesday night bingo. Mom and I would come here for a drink and bingo night on Wednesdays. It was fun! The vibe was laid back and fun, a great "hang out" spot. The downside was them not serving food. I like to snack when I drink, so that was a bit annoying. They were polite about outside food though! We would hit the food truck outside, or get Mexican from Tamale & co. Strange to sit at a blank screen for as long as I have on this one - four or five stars. Well, let's make it five and start writing. The place is huge. There are places to get food next door. Service is wonderful. The things to keep you entertained while enjoying your brew are all over the place. The brew list is huge and it is quite an adventure. Maybe almost too much so. I personally would like to see touch higher ratings and a bit less of a wild ride. The real problem here is coming at the wrong time. You might find yourself with standing room only. The tables outside do help since they are away from the entertainment, but you are only going to get that far after successfully parking. You would think that with a lot that wraps around to a large chaotic mess in the back would be ample for everyone, and not only did I have a hard time finding a place, but others were circling when I left to find out where I parked! read more

This is my favorite brewery by far. The beer is excellent and something new is always come out. My favorites are their sours. The staff are the best and great at remembering people. We've made friends with several of their bartenders. The taproom is full of memorabilia and fun murals on the walls. There's a long line of pinball machines and a mystery vending machine. They also have a mini game console at the bar and a variety of board games and comics to borrow while you visit. They don't sell food, but you are welcome to bring in outside food. Hourglass holds really fun events and lets you use their taproom for your own personal event. Right now they frequently have food vendors rotate throughout the months. They also do bingo nights, run club, and trivia nights. There's so many places to sit both inside and outside along the building. Parking is usually always available all around the building but can get full during big sport events on tv or events happening in the bar. If a major event is going to go on, they give advance notice on best places for extra parking nearby. read more

I had had then on my list to try but since I don't come to the area often, I have missed them all this time! The brewery is very spacious and nice. The have games, inside and outside seating and a couple of sizes for the beer they have. The staff is nice, attentive and happy to answer questions or make any recommendations. We went with 2 and sure were good! We got the I-4 Eyesore (lager with citrus), Hiram's Secret Sauce (strawberry/lemon) and the Life in Plastic (berry blend w/vanilla). We enjoyed all of them but the favorite was Hiram's. We need to come back and try their sour, which I forgot to ask details about it. The do have cider but it is not made in house (since it is done in a different process and license) but still offer alternatives. You can choose to order at the middle of the bar and grab a table, or just grab a seat at the bar. We chose the bar because we wanted to be able to ask the bartender questions. The bartender on our side was so friendly and helpful. She was a blast to chat with. Also, got lucky and chose a night that they were doing music trivia with a live DJ. Everything on their menu looked amazing with tons of creative options to choose from. I went with the Irish Curse because I love red ale, and it did not disappoint. While enjoying our beer we got a little hungry, and the bartender told us we could order from either of the restaurants next door and bring it to the bar. We also learned that they have a sour beer brewery called sour glass brewing. We are excited to give it a try to compare it to the wonderful sours we are use to drinking in Grand Rapids. Overall, this place was everything and more than what we were expecting. Amazing service, beer, and decor. The DJ and trivia were an added bonus. Thus far, one of our favorite breweries. What a cool spot ! The alcohol selection was so good I tried 5 different drinks and all were amazing. My favorites were an Apple cider and the other was a mango flavored cider. They also have non alcoholic beverages like jones soda which my kids loved. This is a place for all ages honestly. We held a birthday party here and had the private room where they ordered wings for the wing spot next door and had pizza delivered with an open bar tab. We had kids from 4 months to 20 there and they all enjoyed themselves. Bar service was phenomenal as the bar tenders knew their drinks! Gave great selections and they offered flights ( highly recommend) while engaging with guest. The arcade games including pac man had all of us playing and we were a large group. This was my first time here and definitely not my last. It's so dope and I really loved seeing the cool beer equipment and barrels through the glass walls!!! Visited this establishment for the first time yesterday evening. They had bingo going on and it was a lively environment with a packed house. The bar is spacious with plenty of seating, and there are many tables and chairs for those who would prefer. The space is decorated with all sorts of cool merch from tv shows and such and there are abundant arcade game choices along the wall if you'd like to play while you drink. The beer menu had a great, varied selection with ample choices for everyone. The bartender was great and he let us try a few different beers. I settled on a peanut butter salted caramel porter called Trashed Tanuki-- I'm not typically a beer drinker but this was smooth and went down easy. I also got to try The Floor Is Lava (strawberry passion fruit sour), boba (cherry, watermelon, lime sour), apricaustic (high ABV apricot honey beer), and the "green tea shot" seltzer. I really am not a beer person but I appreciated the flavors and balance of all of these beers, and they felt very easy to drink. Although they do not serve food, a regular told me that sometimes they have other restaurants come in and sell food on certain nights which is super cool. This is such a great craft brewery location! Hourglass offers a wide variety of their beers on tap as well as in cans to take with you. This location is so spacious and has a ton of seating as well as board games you can play, pinball, and darts. They have a ton of televisions all around the brewery that play a variety of things. There is also a taco place located right next door, Wako Tacos, and they will bring your taco order to your table. They offer a wide variety of beers but always have some classic styles. But if you are feeling adventurous, they do normally have a few outside the box flavors. My only complaint is that I wish we lived closer to here! I am happy to see Hourglass continue to do well and constantly evolve. I first went way back when they were in a little house in Longwood (not far from the current Longwood location), the place smelled of hops and was dimly lit and about 10 or so people could fit inside and there were give or take 3 maybe 5 beers on tap at any given time. The beer was just ok and had that Florida Water aftertaste. When they moved to the current space in Longwood (before they added Sourglass) there were more beers in tap, much bigger space and the promise of adjacent food joints. Once Wako Taco and Papa Bee's opened that was a game changer and I found myself there more often and enjoyed rooting on the Bucs or Orlando City while chowing down on some hot wings or guacamole. Most beers (in my opinion) were still Florida Water cursed (metallic tasting), but at least there were some really good options. In the last few years the upgrades they have made to their system (tanks and filtration) have improved the quality and taste of their beer. I appreciate they are willing to take risks and have also at the same time dialed back a bit and are delivering very tasty, clean unique beer. They also have a wide range and numerous options. They pump out new beers so fast, it is not possible to get bored with their selection. The beers I had the other night (especially the Nom Nom Blueberry Cobbler) were fantastic. The service has always been excellent. Even on the busiest nights they are attentive and make sure you are not waiting aimlessly. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions along with providing solid recommendations. Kudos and much thanks to all of the hardworking team there! I admire how they constantly strive to get better and their passion shows. The space has also evolved over the years and I love the themed art shows that showcase local artists. They have added arcade games and at one point had a few axe throwing lanes / cages. As other reviews have mentioned my biggest knock is how loud it is inside. This location is in Longwood in a small shopping mall. I heard that there is another location downtown but we have only been to the location in Longwood. There are plenty of parking spots in front as well as the back. There are also two restaurants next to the brewery which you can order from and actually bring into Hourglass. There are plenty of seats inside and outside. They brew their own beer and it definitely has a distinct taste. They do have lots of choices, I believe almost 30-40 beers. They will let you sample a beer first but only 3 times. I have not been able to find one that I really like except for 1 which was limited edition. I find their beers very hoppy or sour and honestly just not my taste. They did make a raspberry beer, which I loved. I actually purchased some cans to bring home. However, last time we went they had sold all their stock. They do sell some of their beers to bring home with you. What I really like is that they have a really large area for seating, pin ball machines and boxes of different games that you can play at your table. I definitely love that there are so many local breweries in the Orlando area. This location is really good, I just need to find the one I really like. If you are looking for a nice place to hang out with friends, this is a great place to head over to. This was one of the first breweries we frequented when I moved to Orlando, and it continues to be one we drive out to now and again to try their different beers. Even though they opened a closer location, we still prefer the Longwood location. It's more open, spacious, and we just enjoy the laid back atmosphere. They probably have the most beers on tap of any of the local breweries we've been to. Sure BJ's and Yard House probably have more, but most of the ones at Hourglass are theirs. They make a LOT of different beers. Sometimes, their adventurous nature can make for a beer that's not an every day drinkable beer, but you gotta give this team credit for trying. First time at this establishment and I must say it won't be my last. I ventured over to the Hourglass Brewery after a Beer Festival event last weekend. Their brewery was one of the breweries at the event and their beer was splendid so my friends and I decided to give it a try. And like I said in my first sentence we were not disappointed. The establishment itself was pretty awesomely put together with tons of bar seating and also had tables and booths alongside of the walls. Tons of colorful decorations ya hat can keep your eye for awhile while you await your beverage. Also like any Brewery they have the tanks where you can see how they make their beers. My favorite beverage this day was a beer called "Tummy Kisses" which tasted outstanding. The even better part of the day was the fact that on one side of the bar every beer they have on tap you can take home in a four pack of it. I don't know about you but that sounded fantastic to me. As you can see from the photos I've put up in the background are the beers on tap to go in cans. Any time you're in the Orlando area this Brewery is a must . Impressions; Pro's: I tried 4 different beers and all 4 were some of the best beers I've experienced in any Central Florida Brewery. Impressive! I purchased a 4-pack of Wolf Shirt Lager. Food: Food not available inside but Papa Bee's wings are next door and were amazing! You can bring food inside the brewery which was great. A pop up BBQ was also on the scene which was a big thumbs up as well. Con's: wasn't a huge fan of the seating and they could probably free up some room being taken up by quite a few pinball machines that nobody was playing.
