We ate here last year and enjoyed. Had to return this year ... We enjoyed the kale caesar again and also the dora rita pizza. Our waitress made sure we had plenty of basel on the pizza. This was a Yelp-find while deciding where to eat in the area. The inside is a fun sports bar and as the name implies, there is a large porch for outdoor dining. Menu had salads, handhelds, burgers and meals. I had a Cuban and tots. Food was great and came out quickly. Large portions too. I love dill pickles, but it was so sour I didn't eat it. Wanted to go out for brunch since it's been a while since I've been able to and this place was nearby but hadn't had the chance to go yet! I saw online that they have a dinner menu too so will eventually try and come for dinner. The brunch I got made me happy and full, and I enjoyed it a lot! I love chicken fried steak, especially since it comes with egg and gravy. It was so delicious ^q^ It was very buttery and creamy and went well with the fries and biscuit. Stopped here for Lunch around 1pm, it was really quiet and I didn't mind that at all, chose a table and greeted by the waitress. I opted for the Cobb salad with Chicken. The veggies were fresh, the chicken though had no flavor at all, a little salt and pepper would've helped, It was a big salad too much to finish. Pleasant surprise! I went here because they were open late. After a certain time though they only serve fried bar foods, but before around 10pm or earlier they have an extensive menu with surprising offerings. It seems like a bar, but their food offerings are better. I really liked their stuffed jalapeño pepper soup, lovely cup of soup. The wings were great, Awesome flavor, which is buffalo flavor mixed with garlic flavor & lemon pepper flavor; the best of everything. The lemon poked through, garlic was great, but they appeared buffalo. Price was a little high, but prices are nowadays... the blue cheese dressing side was phenomenal! I would've liked more little chunks of blue cheese, but the delish whipped thickness was indulgent, great. The Mexican beef plate was a good deal, meat was a little chewy & could've used more spices, but it quickly disappeared. What an amazing night! We were looking for a place to have dinner and did not want to do any of the regular places we visit. Went on YELP and found this gem in Longwood. Now, this is place to enjoy with family... a loud and rambunctious crew! We came Sunday night and did not even know they had BINGO and we loved it -- this was a song based squares game and so much fun... gets the crowd singing. My wife ordered Mushroom And Steak Pasta which is sautéed portobello mushrooms and sliced steak in a red wine cream sauce served over bowtie pasta. Topped with parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic bread. She said it was delicious and not too heavy at all. It's a VERY generous portion and two people could eat from it. I had the Back Porch Rancheros which is a bed of cilantro lime rice and black beans with your choice of chicken or pork rancheros. I had the pork. It's topped with pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños, cilantro lime crema, and avocado. Served with jalapeño verde sauce, pickled red onions and tortillas. Let me tell you they the sauce is the boss... I loved the cilantro lime crema. It was perfectly paired with the pork and the three tortillas are just enough for making tacos. Our server was awesome and told us about their homemade desserts which we will try the next time we come. Ask about them. We were super full with what we ordered. Came here for brunch with Friends on a Sunday right when they opened at 11am. The place got packed really quick so I'm glad we came early. The service was really great. Sarah was our waitress and she was really sweet and helpful. None of us has been there before. The place was clean and had inside and outside seating and even a bar. The food was all delicious. I've been back 3 times since this last review. Delicious all the times and no parchment paper! 2 visits ago, my friends and I went for brunch and it was the most satisfying brunch on a Sunday. Filling and at a decent price point. This last visit, my significant other and I brought family and the family members kept raving about the food and service throughout the meal. We went on a Friday for lunch and were originally seated inside but with the game going on, other diners were louder than normal. We were reseated outdoors with no hesitation, weather was beautiful and the noise level was much better for casual conversation. Even with only one table outside, the server was completely attentive and made sure we had everything that we wanted. What we had: Cobb Salad, Big Dipper with fries, Patty Melt with sweet potato tots, BLT with fries. All the food was delicious, no complaints. Patty Melt receives an outstanding ovation from our table. Flavorful, juicy, huge patty, savory onions...it's perfection sandwiched between slabs of buttered toast. read more

Really good chicken tacos! For the price you get three tacos and a side salad. The tacos had a really good lime taste to them. The servers seemed to know a lot of there guest. I noticed that my table of six did not have to wait long for their food. The inside decor is just what you would expect in an average bar. However, everybody was really friendly and comfortable here. This was s a pretty decent meal. I ate here with my son and ordered the Big Dipper (with Sweet potatoes tots) and my son ordered the hangover burger (with fries). Both were pretty enormous. More than needed for one meal - so some went home for later. My sandwich was great and my son enjoyed his. The Big Dipper is akin to a French dip, but has shaved prime rib and crispy onion topped on it. I enjoyed the Sweet potatoes tots and the fact that I had the option as opposed to boring French fries (although my son;s French fries did look tasty and well done). It breaks my heart to give this review because I went in with such high expectations... I love a good juicy turkey burger and it's so hard to find a place that has one... so when we saw they had turkey as an option we went. The concept is great, pick your protein, pick your bun, pick your toppings (all extra btw). This is what we got... greasy crumbly over seasoned meat that fell apart and was not really edible as a burger. The buns were soaked in grease and also falling apart, it could have been an effort to salvage some slightly past their prime buns... I love seasonings but this was overwhelming and the flavor was odd for a burger. I actually sent mine back and got a salad. We got fries, onion rings and tots... the fries were the only thing edible. The tots were so salty it made your mouth pucker. And the onion rings (which were a premium up charge) were def cooked in oil not hot enough because they were dripping with grease and overcooked so much there was actually no onion left... it was basically batter. Onto the salad... mediocre at best. The chicken was clearly cooked earlier in the day, cut up and put in the fridge. Dry and cold! Although the ranch dressing was good, it tasted like one of those Marie's salad dressings you get in the produce department. Overall I was so disappointed and will not be going back even though the place has a cool vibe and service was good the food was just not worth going back. There is plenty of seating inside and we were greeted by nice hostesses whom sat us as we came in on a busy weekend afternoon. Yesterday we experienced The Back Porch fir our first time. This is a casual sports bar restaurant with televisions playing sports throughout the dining room and bar. We ordered The Truck Stop Burger ($15) with bacon, grilled onion, fries on the burger and cheese with a side of French fries, Steak & Potatoes ($26) with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli and a Kids Meal ($10) with Mac n cheese, chocolate chip cookie, Tator tots and fruit. The burger itself didn't have much flavor but the bacon on it was super salty. The steak was ok, the mashed potatoes were really tasty, the Mac n cheese was tasty and plentiful. The menu has quite a few offerings so there is probably something here for most people. Service was friendly and average. read more

Was looking for a spot for some good drinks and quality food. Came across The Back Porch and decided to give it a shot. It's your typical sports bar with a pretty decent menu. They weren't too busy, but the service still seemed pretty slow. Despite that, our server was nice and provided some good recommendations. We started with the Tito's Mojitos w/ mango. Sounded good, but not the best drink I've had....a little too sweet for our liking. For food, we went with Mamaw's Meatballs w/ garlic bread and the shrimp and grits. The meatballs were ok. The shrimp and grits were prettt decent. The grits were supposed to be jalapeño grits, but the honey beurre blanc overpowered it a bit, so didn't taste the kick at all. For dessert we had the ice cream sandwiches. Now those, I would get again! Chocolate chip cookies made in house with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the win!! As a local, I'm a huge fan of sister restaurant, The Porch, so it was only a matter of time before it here! I arrived at The Back Porch around 6:30 on a Monday night and it was not busy at all. We were able to be seated right away. We ordered quickly. I chose the Buffalo Chicken Wrap (subbed for grilled chicken instead of fried) and mixed vegetables (broccoli was that day) as my side. Each sandwich or wrap also comes with a pickle slice. Both were delicious. The service was good. Our food did take around 20 minutes to come out which was crazy considering we were one of the only 10-15 people there, but that's typical anymore. You can choose to sit inside or outside. The Cheeseburger Chowder was like nothing I've ever tried before. And their French onion had a unique twist that I really enjoyed. So far my wife is hooked on the Ahi tuna bowl, but be careful of the Sriracha sauce because it's pretty spicy. They serve one of the best chicken tenders I've ever had (they will source them in their house made sauces) and I highly recommend the potsticker appetizer. Great beer selection too. Three words - best Brussel sprouts. I've been in search of eating good Brussel sprouts across the Greater Orlando area and I'm glad one of my coworkers recommended this place to try out. Although it's a bit pricey for an appetizer - the $13 is worth the spend. They give you a huge bowl of balsamic, honey glazed sprouts with shredded pieces of parmesan that just melt in your mouth. Went for brunch with a friend. We were able to be seated quickly at noon on a Sunday (no reservations) and our waitress was helpful and timely. The restaurant was clean and it's a very casual atmosphere. We got the pretzels and beer cheese, my friend got shrimp and grits, and I got a hash skillet. I enjoyed the food as did my friend but she felt the grits were a bit dry. She thought it was just from it sitting for a while and they brought us more at no charge, but they were the same texture. We really appreciated the attempt to fix the issue. The food was seasoned well and there's several vegetarian options. I would definitely come back and try more things. read more

We came on a Sunday for their brunch. It was delicious. I had the shrimp and grits. My husband had the.m breakfast skillet. It was served hot and fast. The shrimp had the tails removed--a nice touch since I've choked on those before. The $3 single Mimosas weren't watered down at all. Very good! And the single is the best value--generous pour. Made a lunch run to the back porch, which is tied into "The Porch" restaurants in the Orlando area. This location has a good layout, and not so cramped compared to the others, and has a more laid back setting. I ordered the taco trio with blackened fish, and side of their well known sweet tots, along with 5 of their Maui Waui wings. The tacos tasted great with the cilantro crema, and the sauce really carried the tacos alone. The sweet tots are a delicious alternative compared to their regular tots. The wings here are very underrated, as the chicken itself is cooked great. The Maui Waui has the pineapple teriyaki taste, and the sauce is perfectly tossed, in which it had a good glazed, and not too wet. I would return to this location as it looks like a good hangout with friends, I hope that my server is more attentive next time. read more
