But it WAS....a large 4 room Carriage and Vanner Wagon Exhibit that took 2 hours to tour. There WAS....a guide and she was very well read on all items in this then....museum. I would not drive more than 30 minutes to see what it here. They may still offer a restaurant on site...but it was average to below average as our group did eat there after the then....tour back in 2015.

The place was packed with presidential memorabilia, wax figures, and the most fabulous miniature model of the White House. There was even a cute video of pets that have lived in the White House. A raccoon? Seriously? That is hilarious. For me, I wish it wasn't so hot inside. It may have been that it was a cold and rainy January day when we visited. We visited the main building which had many examples of artifacts that reflect what time was like in FL back in time. My favorites were seeing the Victorian Doll Houses and seeing how detailed the homes were. I also loved seeing the dolls and the types of clothes they would be wearing by decade. My favorite was walking through the back. It was a nice sized village that had a church, school, train station, home, grove, garage, tool shed, barn, etc. There was a number of activities, actual people dressed back in time, animals, etc. There is a lot to see here. They often have special events throughout the year. If you like their Facebook, their events will pop up. Their next event has to do with their popular homemade sugar cane. That event will be Jan. 9. This place is fun, pretty, & educational at the same time.

This is such a great roadside attraction in Plant City. You can't miss this place if you are…read moredriving in I-4. It's right on the exit. The tickets are 25 per person for general admission, but you can get discounts on various sites. After going though the gift shop, there is an interactive area with a play grounds, mini golf, splash pad, and fossil excavation. There are also two indoor areas, including an animatronic dinosaur display, and skeleton display. Going further are various areas of static dinosaur statues, with plenty of dinosaurs to see. There is also a mammoth area as well. You can easily spend an hour or two just seeing the displays. They also added an animatronic dinosaur band, which is very similar to Chuck E Cheese. Staff are friendly and very helpful, but I wish there were more to explain the dinosaurs and displays. While most of the area and activities are free, there are some additional costs for other activities. If you want to do fossil excavation and the train ride, that cost extra and you can buy a package for them. There is also a dinosaur scooter ride for 5 dollars, which your can ride a dinosaur shaped scooter around an area for 3 minutes. It's similar to the animal scooters you see at the malls. There are also animatronic dinosaur rides for a dollar, which are near the indoor museum area. It's a slow moving ride that lasts two minutes. Best of all, adults are allowed to ride too. Various photo ops are available as well, including a saddled dinosaur to cowboy up on. Parking is free and there are no metal detectors or scanners to go though. It is a tourist trap attraction, but a very good one especially if you love dinosaurs. While the regular admission plus extra costs for other activities can get expensive, it's still worth going at least once. Kids and adults will enjoy this fun place! Overall: A

The dinosaurs are spread out across a long and mostly shaded walk way, and there is a nice variety of dinosaurs with an explanation for each one. There are also some indoor and air conditioned exhibits too with animatronic dinosaurs. As for little kids, there is a playground inside and a mini putt-putt course. The putt-putt course is very small and limited, but it's included with admission. There is also a dinosaur dig for an extra charge, but we did not do that. There are a couple of food and snack spots, but they seemed pretty limited in their offerings.

The location of this park is very urban, but once you enter the park you feel like you are in a magical land, with the river, the sun, the moon, the marshes greeting you. The pottery found looks strange to me, I see an extraterrestrial and a spaceship. One of the rock pillars also has a similar extraterrestrial face, and one of the hands in the pottery has tattoos on it. I don't know what happened here, but I "feel" something here, and I like it. This place feels like sacred ground. I hope that I can visit again and again.

My only complaint is the story that's shared while touring is extremely long winded and standing in place for an hour can be very uncomfortable for older folks or those out of shape. They offer you a seat but it's kind of awkward because nobody opts for that and you have no idea the interesting tales will take as long as they do. My advice, SIT before they begin the storytelling -- history behind the house.

I had to call to see if they were still in business as I tried to sign up for their email blasts and it wasn't working. Also their instagram account really hasn't been updated in awhile. It was like 20 minutes and they only had one person at the booth. Waiting outside in heat with no shade is just wild, especially with the world's slowest ticket process ever and kids waiting as impatiently as I was in a line to an even longer wait. There is also a machine that kids love to press that I actually thought was construction. It was so loud we had to leave that whole area of the museum. Also the listed drone flying times were just a little late-- we waited for 11:45 and no one came out until 11:50. It was fine but I was worried it wasn't happening! All this aside, there is a lot to learn and look at, even for adults! They have exhibits about dinosaurs, the human body, moon geology, illusions, gravity, and more.

There are lots to do for kids and adults. They recently added or renovated the planetorium, it's state of the art and the sounds and picture is awesome! The art at the museum is beautiful with a great collection. However, the only thing I wish is of this museum were bigger. While it's easy to spend 1-2 hours here, the museum does feel small compared to others I've been to. Other than that though, the collection is wonderful!
