The Cafeteria offers a good variety of options. The coffee shop near the entrance is a positive experience. You need that when visiting a loved one in the hospital. He still hadn't been seen. The nurse told me that the doctors had changed shift. All there computers were down. They were walking their paperwork over for bloodwork or whatever else needed to be done like old days. It took a long time for my son to even see a doctor. He is a cardiac patient since the computers weren't working. It took so long. I left to go home at 2 o'clock in the morning he still hadn't had a CAT scan done yet because he was waiting for hours to have blood work done first , which had to be walked over by someone capable getting that information done since everybody was standing around waiting for this person to do that or whatever this is the most unorthodox hospital I've ever seen. I haven't been here in over seven years. I've never seen a hospital in this bad shape. The nurse told me that we could sue if they wanted to, but he had to inform us how bad the conditions Were, and that they had stopped receiving people, but ambulances were still bringing people in, and those that were worse than my son were still being seen, but it was still the same with them too. The doctors had to wait to see who was gonna be seeing first, but the paperwork was still being walked by hand because the computers were down the Care at this hospital and the emergency room was horrible. I would not recommend anyone to go there. My son got sent out the emergency room at 5 AM in the morning with no clothes on sitting out in a room. We were told to come pick them up after we had just left at 3 o'clock in the morning after we asked them when were you gonna be able to get this procedure done and they told me they had no idea.. if you have to go here I will suggest don't do it. My son came home in worse condition. he had no medicine he still was in pain for the food poisoning. It's Saturday and he just went to nova Fairfax to see if he can get treated. I hope this helps somebody do not go here. This is not the hospital. I remember seven years ago when I was last here.

After calling back the office today and speaking with Amanda after waiting on a call back from 3/7 I was read the findings that the Dr called me on late on 3/7 but left no message for privacy reason. The most unprofessional office and lack of communication with patient. No empathy for having me wait for a simple finding of my results. The MD told me I had conjunctivitis, gave me drops and an antibiotic. I took them and then left for Lanham in the afternoon. Last night my eye hurt-I took the drops, went to sleep and woke up to my eye throbbing this morning, in Lanham. My colleague broke out the YP directory and found an ad for Dr. Hsieh. I called the office, the gal who answered the phone was very nice and able to squeeze me in as an emergency. When I arrived at the office, I walked in and although a little dated looking, I was so grateul they were able to see me. I was quickly escorted to a patient room and within minutes, a super friendly and smiling Dr. Hsieh walked in and greeted me warmly. I had seen a couple of old reviews online about his office and they did not do him justice. Dr. Hsieh is funny, warm, decisive and thoughtful. Dr. Robert Hsieh is a great doctor. He cares very much about his patient. However the front office staff are rude and do not give patient proper information because they are always in a hurry to get rid of patient so that they can talk about their personal activities. As my daughter gets older she were developing poor vision and we were refer to Dr. Hsieh by our family doctor for over 20 years. When we made the first appointment for my daughter to see Dr. Hsieh the office staff that I spoke with over the phone was harsh. She spoke quickly and hang up the phone. She did not even give me a chance to ask any questions. I really thought that they may be very busy because the doctor is so good that they are trying to keep up with patients appointment. But when I went to the appointment I signed in and was to told to take a seat and wait to be called. I sat there about an hour only to listen to the office staff talk about their personal business. We moved from Prince Georges County and wanted to see Dr. Hsieh because he gave my daughter her first prescription, so I made an appointment and drove two hours to get to the office on time. Only to be told by the office staff that we needed an referral. When I asked why I was not told this at the time I made the appointment. The office staff said that, " Its not our job to tell you that you need a referral". I was taken by surprise and we walk right out of the office. We will never refer anyone to this office. There are many good caring eye doctors with polite staff out there.

Over the last few years I have been seeing veins in my legs. I did my research and realized it…read morewasn't a cosmetic issue but a medical condition--insufficient veins. I first went here about two months ago and Kerry the nurse confirmed my suspicions by mapping my veins with ultrasound. Then Dr Debra sent my info to CareFirst who also confirmed my suspicions. CareFirst has covered all of the procedures i've had done. I've paid only a co-pay. The treatments I have received have been about a two out of 10 on a pain level. It is incredible to sit there and watch the veins vanished before your eyes. If you are worried about swelling or edema or veins or skin changes please come to this practice. I could not recommend Dr. Debra or his nurse more highly. I have already referred patients to him.
