I was baffled to be informed of this especially since we just had our car serviced 9 days ago at Titus Will Toyota for a full service, I informed them of my concerns about the car driving and if they recommend I replace all 4 tires or just the one with the spare; long story short Titus will said only the one tire not 4. 9 days later, I come to discount to get the one tire done just to be told it is highly recommended to change all 4 due to the baldness of the tires. At first, I'm not going to lie, I always feel like coming into repair places they're always trying to get the most of my money, so I heavily questioned Casey on his reasoning on why I needed to replace the tires and to my surprise, he was able to show me proof and had me get down on the tire level like he did so he could show me in person instead of just photo of how the tires look on the inside. The inside was getting near bald despite the rest of the tires looking fine so I'm glad he thoroughly had assessed my tire because this could've been very bad if those tires were to give out or fail while I'm driving, let alone breaking with my toddler in the car. Casey was able to get me a better deal on replacing all 4 of my tires and still ensured the tires I got were to the highest standards I need for everyday use. Overall very thankful and happy with my service here. Also side note: I believe his name is Kohl or Kolby(?) anyhow, a customer had come into the discount tire and kind of wasn't being the nicest with him, but despite that he remained calm and tried to explain everything to her. She still was pretty upset and told him that she didn't like the way he was talking to her (he never changed his tone, honestly if anything this dude was killing it with kindness) and even at the end when she was like "no I want you to look at my vehicle" he still said "okay, just please drop of your keys and we will take a look. If you drive a AWD vehicle and have an issue with one tire this plan really makes a difference. I f your tires are 3/32 different between your other tires and a new tire you need to replace all of them on a AWD vehicle If you bought the tires warranty you're able to get them all replaced. Joey said that the scheduler had been down since Monday and they had no record of our appointment. We made the appointment last week on Thursday so no idea why that would matter. He said bring the car in and they would do their best to get to it. We showed up at 330pm, Joey was out. We talked to the guy at the counter, he said we could bring it back Thursday or Friday to get it done. We told him Joey said to bring it in today. He called Joey, who told him that he called us at 1115am and left a voicemail (we never got a call or voicemail) and said it wouldn't be today. Nobody knew we had an appointment until we called them at 145pm, so no idea where that even came from. After some back and forth, we were told to come back Friday morning at 9am to get it done. We wanted to just take the tires and go somewhere else, but everything had already been paid for online so we agreed. Showed up at 9am, dropped the car off for the tires to be put on and got the call to come back a couple hours later. We noticed that the words "INSIDE" were on the outside of 3 of the 4 tires, and asked the tech if that was supposed to be like that, since these were asymmetrical tires with different tread patterns on the inner & outer edges. He said it was fine, and the inside/outside words didn't matter. We also pointed out that they had put both 255 tires on one side of the car, and both 235 tires on the other side. They were supposed to be 235s in the front and 255s in the back. He took the car back in and swapped the tires to the correct position and we left. When we took the car on the highway, we felt some vibration. Suspecting the tires were either mounted/balanced incorrectly, or the inside/outside words mattered (like we brought up to the tech), we had the VW dealership take a look at our service appointment a week later. They told us flat out it was wrong and we should take it back for them to fix. We were already done with this shop at this point, so we just paid for VW to remove the tires from the rims and flip them so the orientation words were displayed correctly and rebalance them. Vibration gone, ride is way smoother.
