I was returning a rental car that I'd had for a few months for work. Managed to get some tire rash from all the parallel parking in Cap Hill. Anyways, didn't want to deal with paying to replace the rim. Was in the area and found Santis (actually went up the street first but they recommended this place highly). They were beyond quick. I was in an out in the time it took for me to talk to my girlfriend. They had popped off the wheel, ground out the marks and put it back on in maybe 20 minutes. And on top of that, they charged me maybe $40. Other places I had called to do a repair quoted $200+ and it would require leaving the car there all day till they could get around to it. I've gotten service before for $5 for a simple patch (last year sometime). So today go in and wait 35 minutes just to talk to the front counter guy, was sitting down waiting patiently. he gets done, proceeds to make a phone call, after another 5 minutes of not being called up and him exhibiting weird behavior (fat front counter guy), I proceeded to get immediate service from a mechanic outside (he had actually just got done with helping a guy who came 15 minutes after me but that customer was smart and asked someone who actually does the work. After getting a simple service done I made a joke about having to wait another 35 minutes to get service only to get immediate service again from a mechanic (not the fat front counter guy) but since i guess he took it as a sign of disrespect (my joke) I got the gringo price or "full price" 4 times what i paid the year prior. My fault for not being fake and smiling in the face of a very lengthy wait time. Good luck to anyone who "disrespects" them. never once gave them dirty looks, sighs, etc. even if it would have been warranted, just the one "joke" i chuckled to with a "help me" look on my face. read more

My experience was great!! I looked in both Montana and Puget Sound to get my rims powder coated. Everyone was two weeks or more out. They all wanted days to a week to do the work. All only accepted bare rims. That means, put my truck on stands somewhere ( I don't have stands, a garage, or a jack other than the small emergency jack that comes with the vehicle), pull the wheels, get a tire shop to to take the tires-TPMS-valve stems off, take the bare rims to be powder coated and do the reverse to get my truck back running. That is just not feasible for most customers, certainly not me! I am in Issaquah and Santis is is an hour plus drive away. I called anyway. They also said two weeks but because I asked for sooner would check the schedule and call me back. I called in the morning and about 4PM I called back because I hadn't heard back yet. I talked with Adam and he said he was just about to call. He had checked and could get me in that weekend. They work seven days a week. For me that is amazing news. Also if dropped off Friday it would be done by Sunday. That's two day total. OK, lets do it. Drove the hour down and dropped off the truck Friday afternoon. Adam called back Saturday the next day and said it was done. I could pick it that afternoon. One day, crazy fast and my truck is now the way I hoped it could be. Oh by the way, Santis did the job for a great price and considering everything was done by them, pull the wheels, strip, and powder coat, and reinstall. If you want work done, go to Santis. I will return when I need them again. One of the best shops around. Don't let the giant yard full of tires fool you, it is the work that counts and they get the job done. Thanks!!!! read more

I read the reviews, all things considered I figured 22x 5 stars vs 1x1 star review,I can't go wrong. I walked in on a Sunday (and yeah, I know Sundays suck for the tire biz) and stood in the office for 20 minutes with my flat tire. I saw 3 customers wander in and out of the office. I saw 3 workers roaming around, doing their thing. No one ever talked to me (zero words, not even feigned acknowledgement). A guy walked in, two people behind and the tech immediately followed him in and asked him what he needed. Zero customer service today. I may have been a fluke but it needs to count. We called and asked if they would be open today because it is Labor Day. We were told they would be open until 6pm so we went straight there after work! Saw the lighted sign says "open" we pull up and the gate is closed- owners truck parked outside, all doors and bay doors open and no one answering! Tried to call and the voicemail is not set up! I was referred here by a trusted source who purchased four tires for his family's three vehicles for an amazing price (his total here was the equivalent of his suburban's quote alone at Les Schwab).. so I decided to take his word.. First of all, I recently purchased a used vehicle because my previous beauty was totalled out due to a hit and run accident (make sure you have uninsured motorist coverage on your insurance policy!!!), and for being someone not used to buying from a third party I failed to ask the history on the tires.. or check to see if the wheels required a special lock nut (which they did-meh!). I had a mechanic friend inspect and fix a minor issue on my car and was advised that my tires were subject to "root rot".. so the last six weeks I was a nervous wreck driving on I-5 knowing my tires were more than over due for replacement. So I knew I not only needed tires but perhaps needed new rims/wheels/whatever it required.. all I was thinking was cha-ching. It was 11:05am on a Tuesday when I rolled up. One customer was just leaving and I considered myself lucky with the timing.. Raymundo came out and I explained the lock nut situation. He checked to see if they could remove the old without an issue and to my surprise they could and he did. Hallelujah!! Not only did I receive four new tires with compatible new lock nuts (free of charge mind you!) I paid an incredible price for winter tires. Their undisclosed warranty (I asked prior to payment) merits that you save the receipt and can receive future repair of the tires purchased. The time on my receipt was 12:06pm. Long story short, I had a terrible experience at a dealership auto shop (*cough* GT Auto in Tacoma *cough*) and came to Santi's looking for help. I initially walked in looking for advice, but after telling him (who I presume to be 'Santi') about my previous experience, specifically how I had paid for a package that included a tire rotation yet they never actually rotated my tires, Santi offered to rotate my tires for me on the spot for very cheap. I accepted his generous offer and sat in the waiting room for 15 or so minutes while my tires were rotated, front to back. Once it was all done, Santi let me know I was good to go. When I went to pay him he declined and said it was on the house. He just asked that I remember his shop if I am ever in future need. And that is when I knew that angels existed, because seriously- who is that nice in this day and age?! So yes, I will remember his shop, and I will also tell everyone and their mom about what a wonderful man he is, as well as the business he runs! So I guess that wasn't a short story after all. This place is great. To make long story short on Thursday (August 15, 2013) at about 7'ish I was driving and realized one of my tires was on the verge of blowing out, tires I had only purchased 5 weeks prior. (That's a story in itself). I pulled in and they where very busy. To add I left the house without $ or a card of some type. Rather then turning me away even though they had closed and where only finishing up the cars already there the owner and I don't know his name says no problem pull in. I must he hadn't seen my tire. Before I could walk to the bathroom and get back (not quit but close) there was a replacement tire on and my car was ready. When I walked into pay I was expecting some huge inflated price because I had to have it and we all know that when its a MUST have its more expensive. I asked how much and the owner says," whatever you think is fair". I said come again and with the same answer. I reply with how about $30 for a used tire and he said I would have taken $20 and will sell for $20. I purchased used tires for this exact same car it's my sons and the allignment is bad and I didn't see the point of new tires until the allignment was fixed and those tired where $40. In summary, I WILL return and buy brand new tire for all 3 of mine and the wives cars that 2 are in need of anytime. In addition my HUGE mouth will tell everyone that needs tires, wheels or both hit this place up!!!! read more

Took my tire in for a basic mount and they damaged my wheel and ripped the bead on my tire, making it unmountable.They for whatever reason tried blaming it on me and refuse to replace the tire. Had bad experiences at other shops with stripped out threads, over/under tightened lugnuts, etc, but these guys really know their beans. They also know I'm not made of cash. This is my second visit to this location! Highly recommended for the fun and friendly staff, competitive prices, and easy in and out service! The first visit was quite a few years ago. They were the only tire shop in town selling inner tubes for the river. I needed quite a few of them for an all girls river float trip Friends and I had planned for the following day. They sold them to me pretty cheap, and inflated all of them with partial air to save time at the pump later. My second visit was about a week ago. The car was making some serious clunking and clanking sounds during drive time. I called ahead of time just so they knew I was coming. They lifted the car, and recognize the problem right away. A piece of a rusty spring had broken off! Kind of a crazy sight but thankfully not a huge issue! Other than my short wait time, I think I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. They give me some recommendations, but nothing was urgent so I went about my day. They are really easy to find, right off of Canyon Road.
