Don assured us that if any patches didn't survive he would come out and replace them. When a few patches died (about 5 patches within a few months) we called him and he flat out denied that he told us that. Now... half the grass is looking poorly and come to find out (from a real professional) we have two kinds of grass that Don installed! Very similar but two different grasses. The tech was very timely. I liked everything about this company! I hired them to repair some drip lines that had been chewed by animals. At my request, he took a look at my entire system and noticed a few other things that needed work. (He may have done the inspection without my request -- a lot of companies do. But I specifically asked for this.) On the spot, he gave me an itemized estimate for everything. His recommendations were great! He capped a head in a section of my backyard that was getting watered by three different zones and pooling water. He replaced 2 heads in the front yard, including one that was blocked by tree roots. He changed the spray pattern on 1 or 2 other heads to optimize watering in a problem section. He noticed that I was running a zone to an empty garden bed and recommended that I turn that zone off. The sod showed up and they went straight to work on the installation. These guys worked their back sides off. They had extra sod, so they prepped another area and installed the rest of the sod. They did an outstanding job. I don't have enough words to explain how good this crew is. This 5,000 sq ft of sod. I have 35,000 sq ft of back yard and hired Evergreen Lawn and Land scape. On that lovely Saturday, the very helpful sales associate, Olivia, confidently assured me I'd get a full refund if the HOA didn't approve. No mention of store credit. No caveats. That promise (and my love for those two trees) was the only reason I agreed to move forward and let them hold the trees on my card. HOA said no. I came back expecting a simple resolution... and instead got a full rewrite of reality. Olivia wasn't there, and the staff immediately insisted there was "no way she would've said that." One employee chimed in, "I trained her myself," followed by questions about whether I "saw all the no-refund signs." The manager doubled down with, "I really don't believe she said that." All of this--despite having a witness that was standing next to me who heard the entire conversation. Let's call it what it was: not confusion... gaslighting. After things escalated, the owner came out, seemingly only after I mentioned disputing the charge. She agree to refund me--but not before trying to shush me, telling me to "be quiet or wait outside," and saying, "I'll refund your money and you can go buy your trees elsewhere." Nothing says "family business values" quite like dismissing a paying customer on the way out. The trees were beautiful, no doubt--but their integrity and respect wilted faster than a Texas agave in August. If you shop here, get everything in writing... because their word clearly doesn't take root. Better yet, don't.
