My fan in my laptop went out, I took it to HJ TechFix, he looked at it and provided me with a quote. He ordered the part, three days later he called me, informed me that the new fan arrived, I took the laptop back to him and he installed the new fan. The price was reasonable, the fix was completed while I waited. Unlike some of the bigger geekie repaire places , he did not hide behind a plastic curtain to fix my laptop, and did not charge for every screws he had to undo. My iPhone 16 Pro Max screen went black. I took it into Helal, and within 10 minutes he had it opened, assured me all the connections were secured. Told me it would cost me $250 to replace the screen but he wanted to check on more thing. He disconnected the phone battery, reconnected it, powered it back on and my screen lit up. Got my daughter's phone repaired in September. Had a new screen and battery put in. I was told a OLed screen was being put in. After the job was done my daughter was not able to use Apple Pay. When I called him he stated that it's normal after repairs. Last week my daughter started having issues. Screen started having lines all across. Took it somewhere else to look at it. They stated the battery swole up and was no good. It was also the reason for the screen issues because the battery was pressing up on it. He also stated the screen was not OLed. It was a cheaper lcd screen. Also, Apple Pay now works and I was also made aware that the reason why it wasn't working was because a real cheap battery and screen were used for the past repair. I took the screen and battery back to HJ and he pretty much said there is nothing he can do because I took it somewhere else. Even after he scammed me by putting in a lcd screen. Battery swole after 6 months. Now I'm out over 300. Stay away from this guy. Response to owners comments: I never insulted you. I went to your business. Showed you and explained to you the issue. My tablet didn't seem to be accepting the cable for charging. After searching Yelp for a computer/tablet repair, I discovered there was a shop very close to home, so with tablet in hand I headed out to HJ Tech Fix, located 2965 Railroad Ave, Pittsburg CA. I found Hilal to be friendly, and his store display with a wide variety of phone cases, etc. was quite impressive. After a short Q&A, Hilal indicated the tablet works well and did not need repair. Needless to say, I was delighted but also a bit embarrassed . Nevertheless, I purchased a much better cable than the one I'd been using. I plan to revisit HJ Tech Fix when it comes time to upgrade to a better/faster Windows 11 laptop. BTW, the English translation of Hilal's name is Moon. How cool is that? read more
